The House in the Cerulean Sea was one of my favorites from last year. It’s a great palette cleanser and the sequel looks promising. Glad Lady Orange liked it too! So pumped for The Fury of the Gods too!
Just discovered your channel a week ago and I have been binging your videos! I am super excited to finish the dark tower this year, I am also planning to begin the Stormlight Archive!
@@TomOrange the most important ones imo are the talisman/black house, the stand, the eyes of the dragon, insomnia, and hearts in Atlantis. They can be pretty big but some of them are practically dark tower novels.
In the Lives of Puppets by Klune was great. A lot of fun! And Tchikovsky's Children of Time is awesome. The Mercy of Gods is one I will be reading as well. 👍

So you want to read Wind and Truth, and I've never read the stormlight archive books, so I have Way of Kings in my list of books to purchase. That might have to wait until next year however, because I have too much to read this year! Currently going through the first Lord Of the Rings book for the first time, and I'm soon at the halfway point. Then I have book one of His Dark Materials, then first book of The First Law, the second book in A Song of Ice and Fire, the fourth book of Dune ... and then it gets foggy, but I have tons on my TBR. I am a relatively new reader, hence why it's book 1 in so many books 😂
Nice list! I saw a brief video in which Reeves said the collab was based on a comic he wrote called BRZRKR. I’m not into comics, but I’m curious about this release. I’ve also never read anything by Mieville. I’d love to hear your thoughts if you pick it up!

Solid list, The Book of Elsewhere is my 2nd most anticipated release of this year! It's Keanu's BRZRKR character and setting with China's writing, apparently the only constraint China had with the writing is to ensure the MC gains the ability to die. I suspect it'll probably be very accessible as far as China books go, as he's going to be constrained by the realities of the world Keanu's already established, so not sure how much of a measuring stick it'll be for his other work. Would be a bit like trying to judge Terry Brook's Shannara by reading his Phantom Menace novelization. I guess we'll find out in a few short days! I'm so hyped for that book, I've been waiting YEARS for new China Mieville.
So my understanding is that stromlight is split into two arcs. Wind and Truth is the final book in arch one and then stromlight 6 with be the start of a new arc.

Agree on Stormlight. Sadly, as old as I am, I think this is a series I will never get to the end.

I did not know about the comics when I first heard of the book. I think it’s an interesting idea to try and bring that world over to a novel format.

I suggest reading at least one book in between the Stormlight books normally. They are really long with a lot going on and can burn you out.
