Hmmm... My 2008 ML 550 does not show the oil levels on that screen. Apparently Mercedes didn't feel the need to put a dip stick in the 5.5 Liter engines. Mine just has a plastic cap where a dip stick should go. I am figuring this out now after 75k miles and just had to replace the cap due to a failed seal. Thank you for the video, at least now I know how to get to the service menu.
In video 6.1l means 6.1 liters not 6.11 quarts
At 1:40 the information shown are in Liters (6.1 l), not quarts.

Number one videos are about the ML
Those are not quarts but liters, check carefully and you will see on your video a 1 followed by a l.
As you said it doe snot work on all MBZ. It does n to work on my SLK.

That is 6.1 l (for Liters), not quarts.
M273 V8 gasoline engine in W and X164 chassis should have 9.0 liters of oil in total.
As far as I know (correct me if I´m wrong), the car should tell the driver as soon as the oil level reaches "low" on the dipstick.
At least my X164 does this.
Additionally you can scroll through the different menus and one of them says "checking oil level" or something like that - but that only works when the engine is stopped and ignition is on (engine should be off for several minutes like after refuelling for the oil to flow back to the pan for correct reading).

Doesn't work on MY2009 ml350 w164 with smart key. Only can see my UB. Anyways, your videos have been incredibly helpful! I'm helping a friend doing a whole Maintainence tune up on his ml350. He wants it to ride and drive like the day he bought it off the lot. It's at 61,000 miles and it feels like an 80's Cadillac. And by that I mean the driver dynamic feedback is numb to him.

Change the transmission control module its a computer chip in the trans that tells car when to shift they go bad and need to be programmed by a tech that has the mb trans programmer! Happen to mine it would stall coming to a stop sigh only once a day after being on for an hour, or more!

Pressing 3 times "R" only works when you little dash screen is showing kilometers.....cluster must be showing km or ml.....wont work if its on anything else

What if the oil level sensor is malfunctioning and reporting inaccurate readings to the computer? Who do you trust better your sight or a sensor?
Sight is always better and should still be used especially if in doubt. Have you encountered a bad sensor in upper vehicle?
2006 c280 4matic. Just did an oil change. Now im getting a check oil level msg. Check the oil stick and the oil is up to about max level. Alittle under. What could be the issue here? 1st time seeing this msg.
You can get this message when you have too much oil as well as too little oil. What grade oil did you use?

I have a ‘08 R500 and can open the secret menu in keyposition 1. But no Oil info. After turning the key one step further, only the engine type info appears in addition.
You may or may not have this option depending on the software version in your Mercedes
It did not work on my 2008 C300, Pressing the reset button did nothing.

My oil sensor is bad, it tells me my oil is high. So I check often. I own a 2004 Mercedes Benz ML350. Could you please help me? There's this code 700 showing up, I need to know if it's bad. Lol! Thanks.
when you check, are you checking it manually? If so what reading are you getting? Can you also check it through the cluster? Are these values matching up? please get back to me.

The Voltage was there, but no oil liters...

Any idea how to repair the DVD on a 2010 ML350 BlueTec?.it will not load ANY DVD's or CD's.. i purchased the 2017 update for the Navigation system from the dealer....
Is it powering up? Is there already a dvd in there that's stuck somehow? You will have to remove the unit and open it if it's got one stuck in it and or find out what else is going on with it.
Apparently the DVD unit was faulty, found a guy who replaced it for me.. Ts"all good now!.

Karanjit Dhillon you need canbus LED bulbs or LED resistors for the LED'S to work
You need a canbus leds or antifliker resistor is cheaps on eBay about 8 dollars the pair

Waste of time. Almost as if to say, 'I don't need oil unless the light comes on".
I hate all German cars, and stuff like this is exactly why. There is no legitimate reason you should have to go through all that rigamarole just to check your oil
I agree. On this particular model, you can also check it by pulling the dipstick.
