Chess Evolved Online, also known as Old Old Chess Battle Advanced, is a game created by a crypto-addicted Spaghetti Monster. In this episode, we will discuss the Fireball, a unit with no movement at all, but overwhelmingly strong attack range for its cost. The armybuilding challenge this unit poses is actually something I really like about this game even though the unit is "nuanced".

@@sevehayden1463 Aquarius can be sacrificed into a Fireball, thus killing it, allowing you to have a faster way to reach 0 value Patience, death squares, etc (not that it is anywhere near decent, playable or competitive, but it is fun that said interaction exists)

I just wanted to say that I really enjoy these analysis videos! I don't think I'd ever play the game myself (I can barely play non-advanced chess) but it's super fun to get little peeks into real strategy and all the synergies and stuff.

How would you rate Dyrad/ the Tree Grower in a general army? I had the idea of making an army with locking down the board and destorying tiles for awhile now but never got to building it.
And how would you rate the Dove and Bat pieces? I just think they're pretty neat to have around

You can make a dovewall army where you run 8-4 doves plus some minions that can easily get in front of the doves to protect them from automoving forward.
I love dryad but have never figured it out. Bat I have never tried.
My favourite weird strats are
1: adding a gravitymage plus a composition of minions where you make a formation with a gravity pull on turn 1
2: bombs + a beacon with wind to blow the bombs across the board
3: freeze + minotaurs

Me and kio both timed out because we were doing some duel testing using my EXE(which just matches over and over again and records the match IDs and does not play anything) and we accidentally matched with you

Over the years multiple other games have tried to iterate upon the idea of custom chess armies, one of which being chess battle advanced, which ended up just becoming a meme to say, and so this game is being retroactively called old old chess battle advanced. The developer is called The Flying Spaghetti Monster, and icely does not like him for many reasons, seen moreso in the earlier videos.
