An overview of Walther’s budget line of self defense knives. These will touch your heart and possibly touch the bad guy’s heart, too. Hey, that should be their new slogan. Enjoy! :D *WALTHER KNIVES (US LINKS):* P99 Tactical Knife: s71.co/3MCwi1S Folding Karambit: s71.co/4ebR2Jw MDK Knife: s71.co/47evwS9
Got the karambit when I started travelling to Chicago. It checks all the legal boxes--2 1/2 inch, single-edged, non-auto. It's grippy--secure in the hand, fully serrated with that wicked hawk-bill tip, opens easily with good lockup, and conceals well. Cheap enough to replace if it gets "lost" from my checked bag. It's comforting in the pocket, walking around downtown and under the L-train overpasses! I like that P99 too--might have to add it to the collection.
wow..three very fun and functional amigos....I would feel well armed on a dark and stormy night carrying any one or all three of these. Thanks for the show and tell..great video as always!
440c if heat treated properly is a viable and acceptable option for a (budget steel) , the dagger looks promising I wish I could see a tip strength test, the carambit will loose the tip eventually and the spike it’s definitely better than your car keys in a emergency situation.
you are right. we got a saying in Germany. If times gets darker, the knives get longer. I have the Böker AF, this P99 is not a real dagger, but a good alternative to it. Not much good daggers out there anymore that still can cut and not just poke holes.
Okay, rubber handle, serrations that are not serrations. That knife is used to hack your way out of a downed aircraft or vehicle. The old Ontario USAF Pilots Survival Knife has similar "Serrations" on it. Plus with a rubber handle, if you hit a hot wire you wont fry.
Good job, Walther! I always wanted an Applegate Fairbairn and the price on this "interpretation" can't be beat. I also love my Cold Steel Scottish spike! I added stag scales to mine.
Love these, especially the p99. Affordable tactical knives are my jam. I recently have taken a shinning to my Cold Steel Pendelton Hunter Lite for this role.
The scraper is supposed to be for making notches possibly 🤷♂️ either way knife looks excellent for a backup penetration, looks relatively sturdy & strong, especially for the price. Now I just need to get an awesome Gerber Mark II clone, who makes a duplicate of that?. Because ridiculous corporate Gerber doesn't make them anymore. I have one but want the version from the 80's and 90's.
Walther has P99 and PPQ lock back pocket knives on Amazon. At $20 they clearly aren’t rebadged Spyderco products but they do match the grip of your gun so they look nice in the range bag🔪
Well, as a German myself, Walther is going strong on useful budget stuff. The small one is my favorite, but probably because there is a Böker Applegate-Fairbairn in my collection and I also have the Spyderco Civilian, in comparison to which the karambit thing looks... well, for the price.
That P99 looks like a perfect undercover 'stash' item. I too am troubled by the tip on that karambit, but like you say, its a single life application item. The tiny 'shank' seems quite useful for personal protection in dire circumstances, but a better sheath would be helpful. Something one could attach an Ulti-Clip with. Great information, thanks.
I love the Spartan Blades daggers and fighting knives for example. But the Walther P99 Dagger, is going to do what I want it to do and at that price, I'm not going ro be upset if i have to replace for any reason.
I'll definitely get that P99(it'll be the second Walther P99 I get...the first was in 9mm heh). That 440A on the karambit is a little disheartening but I guess for a serrated knife that's clearly not intended for anything other than self defense edge retention doesn't really matter much. MDK isn't bad though I definitely prefer the Scottish spike.
Good video. OK budget knives. I bought all three versions of the last Karambits you reviewed. I was really surprised at the good quality for the money.
The bit that looks serrated on the p99 looks like it’s modelled on the “thumb grip” on the reverse side of a skean dhu. Blade looks like one with an extra two inches added on too
Check out the Rough Rider "Highland Spike" it's cheap ( less than $20 ) and has a 4" blade with poly scales and nylon sheath. Wicked piercing tool for SHTF.
Hi !Very nice Video Sir!This Brand from my Country have really nice designed Knifes in my Opinion and Low price thats good for the Customers !Sometimes not the best Quality but for the price really cool and sometimes really good for less money like the OSK 1Tracker knife !This Fighting Knife looks Amazing and sadly maybe forbidden in my Country Germany 😢Of course this is a Knife i like to collect just about its Looks😃 Greetings from Germany !Javor Peace and Out!
unfortunately, in Australia you can only legally carry a concealed folding knife blade that is only 10cm long…but there is no restrictions if some one has super human powers, but the Australian government female scientists will want to talk to you.
I'm not at all a fan of serrated edges, especially on a karambit. The other 2 knives are pretty cool and the prices are great. I refuse to pay $100 or more for any knife.
I've always wanted the Boker A/F knife but couldn't justify the cost,, this would be an affordable alternative,,, Unfortunately, our laws now, mean I would be facing jail time for having one of these,, 😢
Don't get "Serration" on a Karambit! Isn't a karambit supposed to slash? With that serration, will it not get hung up (stuck) if the fabric of clothing? The combat knife is awesome!
I remember you, from about 10 years ago. It is a wonder you are still subscribed. I checked out your channel. It has changed in the 10 years. I had no idea about any of the transition stuff.
@@WeAllJuggleKnives yah, I don’t leave comments much but I watch a lot of your videos, we seem to like the same stuff. I’m surprised you remember me. I bought the odenwulf sow catcher after I saw your vid on it, I still love that thing. Thanks for all the videos

Gotta say i have a special place in my heart for companies willing to go full ninja.
Me too, it helps us all that they raise the bar and make it seem more normal!
Hell yeah
I have the P99. It’s not gonna impress any knife snobs, but it will certainly do the job for which it’s designed!
Unapologetically self defense tools in an unapologetically channel. I like it.
For sure, I will be Mr. Good Bar.
"... no extra charge for the rust.." and ".. if you're really angry.." lmao, oh man love the way you review your stuff 👍😂
Thanks! My unique take on the world LOL

Pretty nice for the price man. I'd like to see them in D2 or something but overall at that price one can't complain too much. Lol

Those are cool 💯
especially the big dagger 🗡️
Walther P99 Tactical Knife ,we all should have one or two 🗡️🗡️
I am really liking the price points. Way to go Walther 👏 👏 👏
Good job, Walther! I always wanted an Applegate Fairbairn and the price on this "interpretation" can't be beat.
I also love my Cold Steel Scottish spike! I added stag scales to mine.
For sure. I never picked up one of the Boker fixed blades versions of it, but I did get one of their folding versions of it back in the day.
I’m going to add them to my knife collection!
Excellent, price is right!
great review
Thanks, buddy!
That Karambit makes an excellent seatbelt/badguy cutter!
I may have to buy the P99, it looks awesome!
Love these, especially the p99. Affordable tactical knives are my jam. I recently have taken a shinning to my Cold Steel Pendelton Hunter Lite for this role.
Alright, I’ll bite for the P99, despite the iffy sheath and the scraper on the spine.😂
Don't forget the upside down Made in China stamp to add class to it :]

a clone of the Gerber.
For one reason or another I feel the same.
Full on ninja😂😂😂 nice vid man!
Thanks, brother!
You said it brother. I purchased a Cold steel Master Tanto for a self defense implement. There is evil out there and it can never be dead enough.

Love that Karambit the most. Nice gear 😎
Good designs and excellent values. Thanks
Glad you like them!

Totally agree, thanks for watching, brother!
Great video as always and in depth
Thanks, my bro!
The Walther trifecta
That P99 caught my eye for sure, had to order one. Knife Center was sold out, I don't do Amazon, so I went with Oso Grande knives.
The Karambit has Cold Steel Black Talon possibly Spyderco Civilian or Matriarch vibes. I’ll take 2.
Budget hurts just as bad as expensive. Thanks👍!
I like the P99. That looks like a dagger and pierce as one.
That serrated angle looks like perfect edge for ferro rod striking literally
I love the Spartan Blades daggers and fighting knives for example. But the Walther P99 Dagger, is going to do what I want it to do and at that price, I'm not going ro be upset if i have to replace for any reason.
Was so impressed with the P99 I ended up buying another one
You amaze me with thecool ass offbrands you find buddy...how doyou doit!!!
I’m going to add all three just spent 300 on 1 Emerson roadhouse thanks for sharing

MDK!!! Someone's been watching "DEMOLITION MAN" where is translates to something completely different 😂😂😂😂
That first one looks like a good thrower and with that heavy blade..
JuggleJuggle 💪😎👍
For sure, thunk!

I know some folks will write off that wood stabbing test but it's a damn good test. No persons that dense.

Excellent, I have the Beast power from that movie with the multiple personality guy LOL.
I like them ALL!!!
Glad you dig them, bro!
The tip is so damn weird lol. Both the knofe an shank are cool.
Thar p99 might make a good thrower. Tough to beat a Glock 81 field knife though.
Comments help with the algorithm.
Like em ALL!!!
Had to say it again lol!
I'm not at all a fan of serrated edges, especially on a karambit. The other 2 knives are pretty cool and the prices are great. I refuse to pay $100 or more for any knife.
The karambit seems for me to have a to closed tip, may be stuck on some materials.
If only the P99 had a kydex or similar sheath.
I've always wanted the Boker A/F knife but couldn't justify the cost,, this would be an affordable alternative,,,
Unfortunately, our laws now, mean I would be facing jail time for having one of these,, 😢
Hmm, Interesting!
Very!
👍👍
I always see the Walther stuff and wonder if the 440c is legit. The price just seems too good to be true
It might be 440SS. I thought it was, until they said 440C on the box. They could have easily confused the two.
Don't get "Serration" on a Karambit! Isn't a karambit supposed to slash? With that serration, will it not get hung up (stuck) if the fabric of clothing? The combat knife is awesome!
Yeah jagged serrations can snag, better serrations like Spyder-Edge won't snag though.
Wow I want them but probably only available in US
🎉🎉🎉🎉
A P ninety-knife?
lol very much not new. P99 should be a clue.
That is why I said new to me.
Again, 99.999 percent of these will be used to open cardboard boxes, slice apples, show off to friends, or whittle sticks.
But that's a good thing.
I came here not to talk about Knives (even though I'm a fan of collecting myself). I came here to thank your Father for his Service. 🗽
Excellent, I'll tell him.
Knives look good but the sheaths are garbage.
