olaf's kit hyperscales with enchanters. But people usually pick him just for early game dominance like xinxhao, without any fkin synergy.

Really happy for LS getting to put his ideas to the test properly. Berserker is absolutely amazing. I hope fudge gets to play some non-enchanter types eventually, but his willingness to play them is good to see. As for the rest of LCS.... It exists.

@@Quebolas The fact that beserker is the import that is smurfing rn is scary for the rest of the league. Summit has been just ok but there's no doubt in my mind that a top 3 top laner from the LCK won't turn it around and start gapping kids like beserker.
@@TheCagedK summit has been more than ok, the fact that he drags out his deaths for so long and wastes so much of the enemy's time dodging so much shit is insane, he may not get kills but he provides an insanely good distraction and helps out when it matters, its similar to trick's tactics without the inting for the lols
@@josephnolan6323 summit has definitely played better than his kda for sure but he got soloed a few times by impact. He played a really clean gnar tho so his potential is showing. Only 2 games but im waiting for the fiora/jayce performances where the other top can’t even breathe
LS hates olaf with no stims. He thinks olaf is ok if you invest in him with other picks.
Yeah, his stance is that Olaf is useless trash in a vaccuum, however with enchanters Olaf becomes actually decent.
Also in an ideal world I believe that LS wouldn't pick Olaf here, but you have to understand that taking in consideration player comfort is a must, especially when you've all been playing together for less than a week.

@@sullen1 I think MonteCristo has the correct read on the last Summoning Insight. In an ideal world LS would've much preferred a jungler like Inspired so he could draft and focus on giving more resources to both Summit and Berserker. But since his jungler is Blaber who has shown he really only works with resources invested in him he's forced to comprise and leave Summit weakside as he focus resources on Blaber + Berserker.
Which is why the first game was a double enchanter full Gwen funnel while the 2nd game had a supporting Soraka to enable the Olaf.
You can draft your own style and making big changes but you can't just make certain players play totally different especially if they have a history of not being able to adapt in a quick manner. There's enough changes in the way C9 plays before and after lock-in that anymore stacked on top this early would be a detriment to the team and their morale overall. Learning new things is hard.
The quote from LS simply illustrate a concept of RTS that you can greed, but if you greed too much you'll just end up dying before the game really has begun. LS having played and watched SCBW and SC2 is fully cognizant of that. If you fast expand and play for economy and you get giga cheesed, you just automatically lose. It's called a "Build Order loss".
Luckily in LoL you can see the plan of the opponent from draft instead of being surprised when the actual game starts which is a huge boost when you plan on playing scaling strategies.
Olaf is useless without enchanters and you wonder why in LS' co-streams he was critical of drafts that had Olaf with no enchanters.

I swear so many teams worldwide spend the entire season playing "strong" champs then go to worlds and try to pick nocturne/tf or something and fail due to lack of practice. Nice to see open-minded players and coach for once

Nah, Sneaky, Meteos, and Doublelift's Co-Stream already did the heavy lifting. LS is just one piece of the puzzle alongside great new NA players like JoJo and Danny, and genius shit talkers like Vulcan.

To be fair to C9... they did win that Summer and Spring next year. They also came second in Summer and did okay at worlds.
LS would have been better, yes, but it's not like C9 was bad. Now they do look bad (until the FlyQuest victory)
to clarify LS' take on Olaf (which might be outdated by now for which i preemptively apologise) is that he's actually fine into bruising comps with an enchanter dedicated to enabling him

I don’t think Jojo is putting on any type of persona and I’m not the least surprised people in the league community see it that way. I played a bunch of fortnite up until this year and that’s literally the culture of sweaty players. The league pro scene isn’t used to people like that because most times an individual player is decimated by the community and lol players really relies onteammates while fortnite it’s all individual skill so you feel more dominant. And he’s new to the lol world so for him to come and see people praise what he sees as a coach that just returned to playing like cmon guys don’t be so uptight. He will learn his lesson tho and hopefully he doesn’t lose his edge completely.
ADC in botlane is a god awful role, it looks good in pro only, especially with soraka in a solo lane and comms to protect you. Any game without a dedicated comp to protect you is shit to play. I dare you to play some games on it dom. Play into a mage an assassin and a bruiser with no peel from your team, you will see.
