Love these series 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 7:56 Ascorbic acid and niacinamide together at acidic pH can combine and form yellow streaks on the skin. Nothing dangerous, just annoying. I have experienced this on several occasions so I removed all niacinamide products from my morning routine because of it. Niacinamide is perfect before retinol at night anyway. But I use it at 5% because I sometimes experience flushing at 10%. 🥴
Yeah Niacinamide unfortunately can be sensitizing for a lot of people in high concentrations.. I do find the 20% from Paula's Choice to be too much for my skin (which I will mention in an upcoming video) but I am using a few products with 5% Niacinamide and love the results from it!
Sorry about that. I was going to spell correct and hit send. Anyway every time I use niacinamide, even after waiting 2 hours after applying moisturizer my sunscreen peels sooo badly. It’s very frustrating. Especially La Roche Posay milk melt 60. It immediately starts peeling in chunks. Your skincare routines are the best. Thank you sweetie for being so real and in depth with each products I apply. Karla
Aw you're so welcome and thank you so much for your kind words🥰 Sometimes Niacinamide can pill with sunscreens/moisturizers/makeup and we may not know exactly which product/ingredient is interacting with it 🙈 It's so annoying!!
@@SincerelyMissAsh yes it it. Have you reviewed La Roche Posay melt milk sunscreen? It peels in a really bad way no matter what I apply it on; waiting 2 hrs after applying skincare products. It’s the worst. Contacted the company and they are reimbursing total. The sample they sent me was amazing. Go figure.
I feel like the samples are always different lol 🤔 No, I haven't tried the melt milk sunscreen yet as I have only reviewed the La Roche Posay Anthelios Ultra-Fluid SPF 60. It's good but it's not my absolute favourite..
Hi there, enjoyed this video. However. Can there be a hype on the body and lower legs that has hypo/hyperpigmentation. All videos on these great products strictly focus on facial care. I'm so frustrated - can't seem to find a solution. Exhausted all Dermatologists. PLEASE somebody HELP !!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Great video and informative. So happy I found you on tiktok. I just bought the ordinary product you mentioned in this video. Can't wait to start using them and see the results. Thank you.
Hello Ashley, love you videos. Question I need a ordinary anti aging skin care routine for AM and PM. Am 59 years old with normal skin face and I little black under my eyes. Please, Thanks
I appreciate your consideration to inform us on the Ordinary products. I purchase the Ordinary product but many night I have to wash it off my face because my face is on fire. I try to reach out to the company unavailable. Thank you for your help to better understand how to layer the Ordinary product
So Ash, would you say your “redness” is not from morning after using Tret? Sometimes I get a bit red from using Tret. I use anything with Tranexamic acid (like Discoloration one from Good Molecules) & it really helps tone down redness from Tret.
I have experienced redness before when using active ingredients but I do have a slight rosy tone to my skin naturally. Tranexamic acid is amazing for discolouration.. I am using a product right now and it does help for sure 🙋🏼♀️
Any suggestions please for normal to dry skin (dry T zone with some large pores on the cheeks. Im new to the skincare routine world and im 33 years old. Thanks for the video 😊 new subscriber ❤️
I love The Ordinary too but find K Beauty better for hyperpigmentation. Any chance of a similar video with Korean products? Thank You Miss Ash, LOVE your freckles. 🧡
Hi @Sincerely Miss Ash. I am loving your videos! I have one question and a request for you. 🌸 I know that hydroquinone has to be cycled on and off. Can you please tell me if Alpha Arbutin can be used long term or if it should also be cycled? I have been binge watching your A.M and P.M videos. Can you please do an A.M and P.M. skincare routine video for texture? Thank you!! 💕
hi miss ash! i'm from philippines, i have dark spots and pimples as well, should i combine them all what i've watched from your series. i've watched your Am/pm routine for pimples and Am/pm for dark spots. And now i'm confused how to cure my pimples and remove dark spots 😣 help me please! thank you! 🙏🏻
I love your videos! I also suffer from hyperpigmentation, I have a question about the HA, is it supposed to be applied along with water? Or it doesn’t matter whether or not you put water?
Thank you so much! HA is best applied onto "damp skin" so wether you're misting your skin with water or with a toner/essence this allows the HA to absorb better into the skin and then you want to lock in that moisture with a moisturizer.
Hi Ash , thanks for the Great Video , I usually use Vitamin C and Alpha Arbutin under my eyes, is this wrong? Also, I use vitamin C before Alpha Arbutin what is better to do ?
Hey, I also use alpha and Vit Ascorbic Glucoside under my eyes, however few dermatologist have recommended to use alpha arbutin and then Vit c then make sure you put sunscreen!
Hey there, When it comes to any skincare products (that isn't designed for the eye area) you need to be cautious and careful as the skin around the eyes is so delicate. I do sometimes apply Vitamin C under my eyes but I don't apply the Ascorbic Acid + Alpha Arbutin under my eyes. You are not doing anything wrong,. If you don't experience irritation and/or dryness then continue with that you are doing especially if you are seeing results. As for the Vitamin C and Alpha Arbutin... Alpha Arbutin is a water based serum where as most vitamin c's are water free like the Ascorbic Acid + Alpha Arbutin one. You want to apply your water based serums before heavier products for proper layering and absorption. *Some vitamin c's have water in them so depending on the texture will determine which one goes on first.
I have Cerave cleansing gel with ceramiden & niacinamid inside, idk is it possible if i use to cleaning my face then using Ascorbic acid? Since they said ascorbic acid & niacinamide ( serum ) cant be use together? Ty Miss Ash, another great video here
Hi 👋 I’m new here and i love all your videos 😆 i mean the one that I already watched and got a lot knowledge and i still. Continuing because we have a same skin type and same skin problem and aim, when i found you i was omg finally i found the influencer that has more likely skin with me!!!!! i have been buying a lot of The Oldinary product different one of them 😅 i think i had almost all the serum and now I’m confused LOL thanks for your videos 😅🙏 One question though my Derm always told me that only use 2 active that enough and if more than 2 will be too much for our skin. But obviously no problem to you because nothing happened from using 3 actives you seem really ok 😆 should i follow your 3 actives?
Hi there!! Aw thank you so much... I am glad you found my channel and have someone to relate with when it comes to your skin type ☺️ Sure, the more actives you use in a routine there is always that possibility of experiencing dryness and irritation and it really depends on the individual also. I am ok with the products I applied in this routine but perhaps that would be too much for someone else. Hyaluronic Acid isn't an active as it's a humectant so it can hydrate the skin and give you plumper skin as well. Actives would be chemical exfoliants, retinol/retinoid, vitamin c etc... It's not recommended to use those actives together as this can be a harsh pairing.. I hope this helps☺️
Hi Lovely Ashley , nothing and I mean nothing works for me and my hyperpigmentation and even worse melasma 😖 than Hydroquinone. Funnily enough I have added it again in my prescription to Tretinoin last week. On and off for few months, never more than 4 months on Hydroquinone . I do have Arbutin in some of my products though , I am not ruling it out completely ☺️ same as Niacinamide
I haven't tried Hydroquinone yet but have heard a lot of success stories when it comes to hyperpigmentation.. Everyone reacts to ingredients so differently☺️
What a brilliant series this is,I’ve loved every one of the videos . Packed with so much information Thank-you Gillian UK
Same for me. During my routines, my skin get little red but it is fading ☺️
