  • Green Summer Trees don't have to be boring! Bring more color in your summer greens paintings of the trees. In this demo I also show how to paint the trees reflections in the river.
This demo is done on non sanded Canso paper from Earth Colors pad.

It is an excellent demo. You are a very good teacher. The learning content has exactly the right proportion and is very well explained. I've seen many, many videos and yours are among the best. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to see your videos

Thank you Lana for demonstrating how to "flatten" the water out with the ripples. That was amazing. And also for showing us how to break up those greens with the variations as well as the blues and purples. It looks lovely.

I love the way you have solved the reflections in the water. There are moments, as you say, when we can be overwhelmed, when at a given moment there are many tones and shapes that have yet to be determined.
    thank you so much

I'm so glad you liked my solution :) I remember once I was painting a pond outside, the shadows and the reflections were fighting each other and I just got overwhelmed. So it's good to simplify those whenever we can.

That's why I understand you perfectly and I liked the way you solved it. I really like to paint the reflection of the clouds in the sand when the tide is low, the clouds are reflected in the humid sand leaving an infinity of shapes and values, at that moment it is when I usually get overwhelmed, I think that common sense asks you to simplify the shapes

I’m learning a lot from your videos, thanks. Can you tell us your favorite blue pastels for skies? I usually use Uart, sometimes terracotta Colourfix
