I knew I shouldn't have bought my hdzero goggles 2 years ago and should have waited for dji. /s still love my hdzero drones, but man is dji tempting me now. I already have the goggles with the avata too.
Possible to test the Pavo pico with this o4 lite and a 1s battery ? Would love to see weight measurements and how does it compare with your lightest Pavo pico build in terms of agility, flight time. Guessing durability cannot be tested easily, but would you recommend like a vented 3d printed cage for the o3 lite
i think a comprison to the hdzero whooplite with a nanov3 cam would have been more interesting instead of the aio the o4 lite is not a aio and i think the whooplite would perform better in this scenario (not better than the o4 but better than the aio for sure)
I've been dedicated to HDZero since the SharkByte days. I have so much equipment today. Now I think it's time to let it go and switch to DJI. Maybe I can sell my HDZero stuff? Idk. 🤦
DJI: Good penetration and image overall. Poor light adaption. Still only good for 2s and micros. HDZ: Good low light performance. Not comporable to DJI in image and penetration. Ideal for whoops.
How can the other guys compete with this? Everything will die off by the end of 2025. No one will buy anything other than DJI (unless they hate money).
im a bit concerned about the durability of the O4 air unit (lite ver) it looks to me that the SoC is completely exposed and these SoC's on the O3 were known to be realtively fragile
While a valid test there are a few things to consider: 1. Total cost, the DJI O4 air unit is $99 USD. The HDZ for a full integrated flight controller with receiver and VTX is $99. That mob6 HD is $190 for the entire quad, how much was the other quad? 2. The HDZ Lux camera is 4:3, but you show 16:9 video? The O4 can do 16:9 but only 4:3 in race mode. What camera modes/resolutions did you test in? You don't say. 3. You can upgrade the HDZ Eco camera to the Lux, I'm not sure if that would make much of a difference honestly though. 4. The HDZ is a 1S solution. The DJI is 2-3S only.
You probably would burn many AIOs while your DJI would last longer, so DJI might actually save you money. I don't see a reason for HDZero at this point unless you want a 65mm tinywhoop for indoors, in which analog is really the way to go anyway both to save weight and increase durability.
@@QAVx00 Burning AIOs? Speculation and FUD. You don't see the reason for HDZ? 1S quads and racing. HDZ latency is still lower than DJI, and DJI still doesn't have a 1S VTX.
@@icebalm It's not speculation. If you lose one ESC or the VTX on any AIO, then the board is done. If you think that doesn't happen, then you must be new to all of this. Both Walksnail and HDzero are not as reliable as DJI. Sure, if you want the lowest latency, then HDzero or good old analog are the way to go. I already agreed that for a 1S 65mm Digital, HDzero is the king. For 3" 1S Tootpick just use a BEC and a capacitor.
@@QAVx00 The speculation and FUD is you trying to say that it's likely that the HDZ AIO5 fails more than the DJI O4, and you can't possibly know that. You can't say the DJI O4 is reliable when it literally came out today and there's no information about it. You can play "what if" games but it doesn't matter without actual evidence.
HDzero and walksnail aren't overpriced. They're much smaller companies that can't sell their hardware as cheap as DJI and aren't able to hire huge teams of the best engineers. It's pretty obvious
@elecsfpv you are completely wrong. Let me clarify, walksnail cameras are overpriced, but sell very affordable goggles L, so that's kinda good. HDzero goggle ARE way over priced, I've seen the component breakdown, they're marking their goggles far too high. They're greedy and they thought they owned the affordable hd camera scene, until today, and lots of people are switching over as we speak. Comments sections are littered with people moving to DJI instead. Now DJI is going to start sponsoring racers, races, and give away more free gear. And DJI is already solving their channel issues with racing. I kept telling people that hdzero's days are limited, and now they have lost all new buyers that will purchase affordable DJI goggles that cost $700 less than hdzero, and now DJI has cameras that are the same size and price as hdzero.
Thank you, Albert
You are the only reviewer that posted flight videos of the 04 light...
You should add tons of links of where to buy them
Apparently they all got paid only for the shiny pro
Nice one! You're the only one that tested that. Hats off!
Good test 👍🏻
Awesome testing and flying, Albert! Thanks! 😃
I didn't see your review yet, but it's on my list!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Great test video. I personally prefer dji for its image quality.
👍😎
Welp, no longer on the fence about pursuing HDZERO. Stick with Goggles 2. I’m really happy about this!
DJI 04 hands down!
Waooo the difference is big I love the DJI 04 Lite.
I knew I shouldn't have bought my hdzero goggles 2 years ago and should have waited for dji.

DJI wins this for general use, hands down... But, Hdzero will still be loved by hardcore whoop racers for the time being.
Glad I waited and didn't go HDZero for my smaller quads , the O4 lite looks superb.
Great test. Really shows how much better DJI is.

Pavo Pico only works on 2S due to motor KV.
Nice test to show how much better DJI is.

Wonder why 😊
Only 61? I got close to 250.
😆
O4 lite is 21Mpbs max? Whats that?
As far as I understand in race mode the bandwidth is limited to achieve lower latency. Applies to the Pro as well.
DJI: Good penetration and image overall. Poor light adaption. Still only good for 2s and micros.
HDZ: Good low light performance. Not comporable to DJI in image and penetration. Ideal for whoops.
thank you for comparisons
hdz looks so good 😋
when I switch... it'll be dgi that i invest in

My group i fly with of 8 have all switch from dji to walksnail. Big corps kill hobbies and innovation eventually
Humans are curious by nature and innovation will not die. We will always wants and need more from mere adaptation.
MY TWO CENTS !
No comparison really! DJI APPEARS FAR SUPERIOR IN IMAGE AND PENETRATION
