Capcom's IP lineup is only surpassed by Nintendo and Sega. They need to show that in the form of proper new games. This generation of gamers needs to see Strider, Ghosts 'N Goblins, Captain Commando, Forgotten Worlds, Power Stone, Devil May Cry, and other games from the vaults.
IF there's no physical version of Mega Man 11 for the Switch, there will be rioting in the streets. I'm stoked for it, though! I agree and hope that they do a physical compilation of the X series, hopefully on a single Switch game card. X6-8 were of somewhat dubious quality, but it would still be fantastic to have the whole set available in portable form.

It sounds so natural but is so to the point that I'm guessing that you improvise off of some bulletpoints that you are trying to hit. Either way, great job. couldn't agree more with your way of how you explained it. :) capcom making Mega Man 11 in that design>? makes me believe that it's a "We're Sorry" not just to the fans, but to Keiji Inafuni who tried to give fans a mega man. where he failed? capcom decided to at least do what he couldn't finish and they finished it for him. they gave us a mega man... that is a lot of huge respect for him. that was cool. :)
UltimaKeyMaster It's possible, but typically companies (especially in the video game industry) try to emulate and bank on the success of other companies. When they saw the reaction to Mighty No 9 and how many people backed the Kickstarter they didn't overlook it. I bet when they saw that failure they knew they couldn't screw this up. I don't think they will, but it is Capcom.

I think people are overshooting this. This is a retro 8bit Megaman with new aesthetics. It isn't a revolution, it's not even a modern Megaman like ZX3 would be. The only way they could make less effort is another straight 8bit game. The bar was very, very low, but don't get too excited for getting anything at all. Please guys.
Gaming is not only about revolutionizing franchise. I don't think we are excited because it looks "new" or "modern", we are excited because it is another freaking Megaman game after 8 years! That is something. Which also happens to look cool and modern. Also, it is actually more work to draw every sprite nowadays. That said, I agree. This means nothing in terms of Capcom steering away from their poor decision-making. However, we need to acknowledge is a great start...and a good day for gaming.
I felt really dirty getting the Disney Friday Afternoon collection on Steam. I'd get a physical copy of that in a heartbeat on Switch if they released it.

PerlerNostalgia I was hoping that they release Megaman 2.5d for all platform. Even though it's a fan game, they did release megaman x streetfighter on PC for the last big anniversary celebration; and that was 100% fan made but supported by Capcom.
Im gonna pick all those collections for the Switch even thou I've beated them already just to feed the hype until MM11 comes out. Im happy Capcom finally made a move that makes fans happy
Idk why people are complaining about MM10. Yes, the game had its issues (mostly the level design being either too easy or obnoxiously hard). It was also the case with Mario 3 and that game has received a lot of praise.
