No shame, I’ve never touched any of my cars like this and you proved to me why I will never if a have a shop I trust. It was fun watching you suffer through it and make a mess lol. Nice vid
Thank you!! As time passes and I learn more and more about my car I’m sure it’ll get easier as it goes. It isn’t for everyone but I really do want to learn
Good job Eddie, been there done that (boy do I still do that). Just got my Red BRZ Limited just over a week ago; took about 10 weeks from when I ordered it up here in NorCal. It's a blast! Love seeing all the BRZ/GR86 vids, non of my vehicles have ever remained stock for more than a week, Onward-ever, backward-never!
Nice to see you back with a video. Hope to see more coming.....BTW watching you do this made me call the dealer on what it costs for a transmission oil change....$159. Think I'll let them do it....lol.
FYI 4:30 I have a 2020, and I tested the "putting it in gear to stop it rolling on a hill" thing. I have found that mine pops out of gear if it's not the same direction of travel. so, if the car would move backward, I put it in reverse. If it would roll forwards, I put it in 1st. Source: I have an inclined driveway where I park mine. had the random thought to test it. I was pretty surprised that it popped out, and so I tested it twice more. Same results. I would be interested to know if this gen has the same effect, or even if it spans auto makers.
This video was funny with the oil spilling all over the place. I haven't seen any of the kn intakes. Hurry and upload that video. Is that for sale yet? Noticed a difference in sound? Power?
Eddie hey mate Akash From Australia going to place my allocation order tomorrow so stuck on the colours. Only concern is the ignition red will fade like previous reds overtime from sub and Toyota. So thinking of playing it safe with blue. Thoughts???
Yes there is I had 3 taped to the oil filter box must’ve cut out the part where I mentioned it or I mentioned it in the beginning when I went through the parts, my bad
Good you can laugh at yourself! This is the tutorial of how NOT to do it. Some bad advice about tightening things by feel. If you know how much oil you are putting in then you can't go wrong. There's no need to be fiddling with it. Changing the transmission oil so soon is odd. The interval is 22K miles.
Oil plug is the only one I tighten by feel as not everyone has a torque wrench nor is it needed for such a simple job, pretty much just don’t over torque it. I just think it’s goofy to torque that one down. As far as the transmission fluid. My car has been and will be tracked often, so our intervals will be different 👍🏼

Reference 3:13: What is the bright silver bolt just ahead of the red painted front jack point for? (There's a leaf right next to it)
“physics obviously” 🤣
hey man, after installing the k&n intake did your check engine light come on at all?
did you ever get the name of the magnflow exhaust ?
Everybody learn from this man's mistakes. Put a shit ton of old towels down before draining the trans fluid.
Yes please don’t be an idiot like me

Off topic question, does your DRL lights up the entire C light? Or just the bottom?
Just the bottom

My gen 1 never faded. I have no regrets going with red
Not sure if I missed it but is there a crush washer?
