    Report this business at Consumer Protection What What. It's unacceptable that customers are being disrespected and bullied into taking what they no longer want. Take them to task!

    This doesn't make sense, i think you looked like an easy target, an electronic must be under warranty, and you should be able to return it without cost. Infact you can even return it and say "I've changed my mind ", so I don't understand that..... i think Samsung mall of Africa has an issue with returns, i had a problem with a new TV i bought there, and luckily I asked for an upgrade, but I can believe it that they'd have a problem if I wanted my money back.
    Advice...buy from Game sis... game doesn't give you stories, you tell them this doesn't work, they just give you your money back

      My folks are still struggling with their warrantee issues in Game...the microwave went for repairs ...but they come up with stories to not fix the microwave. (It's under warranty) got it's been almost 3 months and they come up with stories. It's sad how stores can reveal their character 😂.

    Problem is not Samsung, it is the people working for Sumsung outlets they are damaging the brand name, I hope Samsung can reach out to you Ninja and do damage control.

      Normally after 2 years my phone is finished. Now that I'm using Samsung I decide to change by phone cause I'm tired of it. Just gave my mom my Samsung I used for 3 years & it's still fine. I never buy the 1st version of a new phone. They use you & you get all the glitches. When a new phone comes out wait atleast 4 months for them to figure out the glitches before you buy it.

    I've once bought a Samsung 3/4 years ago and the built in battery got damaged within 6 months. I was like never again. I've been using Huawei and iPhone I'm happy.

    I've never had an issue with Samsung ninja so this is news. I always say that Huawei phones are the worst for me. I'm glad you got a new phone. Thanx for the warning.

    OBF(Out of box failure) within 7 calendar days you receive a brand new handset
    Cooling off period ( 10 working days) if u change your mind within 10 working days before u use the handset…u can return it.
    That manager was wrong and wasn’t supposed to charge u anything cause he knows CPA( Customer Protection Act)

    Firstly... People look at outward appearance to estimate your bank balance. It's frustrating and just not a good thing to do. Never look at my outside appearance in order to decide how you'll service me. We are people and we need to be respected, not for what we have and are capable of doing, but because we are human and it is our biblical and constitutional right to be treated fairly and with respect and dignity.
    2) My husband bought a Samsung phone... It's a disaster. The most basic app like teams, zoom and the likes just crashes the phone. He gets errors when sending emails using the Samsung. It's just a waste. I've never been a fan of Samsung.
    I was a Nokia fan and then moved to Sony. Sony has been very good to me. It's unfortunate they have left South Africa 😒.
    Now I'm with Huawei, I don't regret it, it's a great phone.
    Phones aside, it's disturbing to hear of obnoxious behaviors of people yazi. Why mara?

    Ish the problem with Samsung is only their premium ranges are true quality I love Samsung but only the S or the note range. All those other alphabets will show you flames 😂💀. It honestly comes down to preference. The S21 Ultra is what I currently have and I love it paid close to 30k but I know its going to last. My cousin has also been complaining about her A32. Ish askies but we're happy you have a good phone 💃🏽

      I use the note range and I don't know how to say A72 is midrange without being Insulting. Iphone 12pro max is a flagship spec phone and the is no comparing it to the A72. I would compare A72 to the IphoneX not even 11. The problem here is more customer experience than substandard phone.

    I was waiting for I called the police or I want to consumer ombudsman and it went down😂😂🤣 this is your teaching opportunity, I think you should take it up with the ombudsman to see how they'll assist and do a story time. Most people just let thinks slide because they either don't know where to go for help or out of ignorance they think they won't get help.

    The last time I used Samsung was in 2009 when they introduced the first touch screen. That thing was freezing like crazy!🙆🏾‍♀️
    Welcome to the Apple family! For my iPhones I always go for 256GB since it’s always in my hand. I also love that what I do on my phone, it’s updated on the iPad and MacBook. I makes travelling also a bliss my whole office is in all my gadgets, which I obviously choose to travel with only my phone.

      For me, it was a Huawei charger. I didn't even ask how much it was because I told myself it couldn't be more R250. Swiped the card and the phone reported, R825. I walked away with weak knees.

    I will never trust Samsung as a primary phone. My s6,7,8 used to heat up guys! When I say heat scorching hot I couldn’t even hold it burn marks! After I bought an iPhone and I’ve had the same one 5 years. Even if I upgrade it will be iPhone.

    I think we all have different experiences. Sometimes ibhadi nje yokutholana nomuntu odelelayo. I love Samsung and it's still treating me very great. Last year when I wanted to buy a new fone, my friends pushed me to buy an I phone since they were all usinging it. For a first time, I abandoned Samsung and bough I phone X. Yoooh the phone gave me problems and the camera quality was very bad. I took it back to the shop, they kept it for 2 weeks. When I got it back, same problem.But my friend didn't have any problems with it. This year I went back to Samsung as usual and I'm good, ngi ryt. Its like furniture shop stores or game. I read the comment here, about game good service but my mom had problems with her microwave. My brother bought a fridge at OK furnitures long time ago, only the freezer part was working properly . They kept it for 2mnths only to bring back the same faulty fridge. When asked for refund they refused. So since then, I'm careful about what I buy and where. Sorry Owami, I felt the same when my I phone X gave me problems. And the horrible service make things worse.

    That phone was still under warranty, they were supposed to fix or give you a new phone.
    I am using the same phone and it works without any issues
    Further, in terms of consumer protection Act, you are entitled to return any product you buy within 7 days without even a reason.

    I had one bad experience with a Samsung phone. We have never gone back. I am an Android user through and through, so I moved to Huawei. Best after care I have ever received. I have had it since 2019. Now eyeing a Xiaomi. Hoping to move to it in 2022.

      i am not happy with Xiaomi, the redmi 8a fell and the screen cracked even with the screen protector. So now its pressing itself most of the time and i cannot return it as the insurance lapsed. But maybe you'd have better luck than me if you buy the pricey range.

    Hey Owmie, I have the same problem as you. I bought my Samsung J4 Core at Jet Store for R2000 last December and 6 months down the line, it freezes and it really acting up. right now I just wait for it to stop performing before I use it and that really frustrating

    So true about the treatment and reception at stores being different when you are made up and well dressed versus when you're laid back and plain.... especially for us darker skinned black women. When you have weave and makeup on, put on good clothes and put on a twang you are treated with respect, when you aren't you are viewed as less than. Its strange since both versions of you have the same buying power. White people never have this problem, they don't have to amp up their appearance or show out, they are treated with respect either way. I have seen white people in flops and shorts being referred to as Sir. Is it wonder black people are so materialistic. We literally have to buy respect. Pathetic!

    I hope you don't take this the wrong way but I think our sin as black people we sometimes too understanding. The first time that phone started freezing, a white person would return immediately.
    My advise Wamie is that you go on Twitter, tag them and we will all go there and make them trend untill they pay your money back.

    I'm a samsung fanboy. I am aware of issues with customer experience. Complaining is not easy because you end up sounding angry and bitter and still not have a resolution. I wish you the best with Apple.

    Aren't phones under a 1-year warranty? You should call or chat with Samsung customer service on their website. I am no means advocating for Samsung. Last year, I bought an incorrect case from the website and I was able to return it free of charge.

    I remember when I was using a Samsung S6 back in 2016 I would take it to repairs EVERY MONTH it was so exhausting cause it was their factory fault yet I was the one suffering. I hated it so much and bought an iPhone I’ve BEEN happy since! Exclusively great treatment, very efficient so NEVER GOING BACK TO SAMSUNG.. welcome to the family Owamie this is the best decision u made!

    My friend told me that the A72 has been discontinued I think its because its a faulty phone.

    The run around is so strange.... it's really shocking that you were treated that way. Making exchanges and returns within the 1st 7days at minimum is never an issue hey.
    Some years back.. a guy from Samsung advised me to buy my phones directly from them cause there is a difference in some models. He sent me to go check and he was right lol I've been buying + insuring them directly @Samsung. It's so nice when you send the phone for repairs and they change the battery and screen and body 🥰😍😍😍.

    Owamie A72 has been discontinued oversea and this country. I don't know why they sold you a phone that has problems. Sorry again, they should give you a full refund.
    I have also been a Samsung fan for the longest but this year I have started looking at other brands.

My husband experienced the same dialemma with a sumsang phone which kept on freezing and I told him to forget about sumsang and join me over at Apple. He is the happiest he has never been in a long time. He also bought iPhone 12.
