It's always nice to learn new languages isn't it, I'm Flemmish, so my motherlanguage is Dutch, but I had to learn French as well, since that is also an official language in Belgium, and guess what, so is German, so I had to learn it as well and yet I answer your complaint in your language as well ;-)
Nice to see the Finnjet. I once took it from Travemunde to Helsinki. Now the ship is sadly no more. It got scrapped in one of those beach scrap yards in India.
Wow! The level of detail is stunning!.It takes about 3 to 5 years to build a big scale r/c model ship as detailed as these!.If you were to include the cost of the industrial grade machinery needed to precisely fabricate every part of the r/c ship exactly to scale and r/c hardware the total cost of building an r/c ship on this scale is between $5,000 and $20,000 USD. You can buy you a pre-owned car, truck,or suv with the amount of money it takes to build one of these big scale r/c cruise ships in a 2 to 5 year span.
Been wanting to either construct a US Navy LST, LVT or similar landing craft ship. I have some 1/16 scale RC trucks that don't get much use. I also have a decent sized pond/small lake that gets even less ya. Maybe a auto ferry in 1/12 scale or the military landing craft build is in order? Dimensions and scale drawings should be readily available online.
Very nice but the weight of ships vs. Bouyancy are yet to be considered. It looks as if thecships are sailing on rogue waves because they are too light.
Just found your channel with this video & they are some very impressive builds. As a custom Builder myself it's always groovy to see what others are doing, there's such amazing workmanship going on out there. Great camerawork on this, thanks for sharing it, cheers from Calgary, Alberta 🇨🇦
The water was to shallow. The second dock could not be put out. There were tugs and some other big models that could not run later. The bobbing is because its a small shallow pool .
Hi Essential RC Great Video . Two of the Ferries are mine . Celestine of CobelFret and Finnjet . So the Black Norland of north sea ferries belongs to Carl who owns the company that makes her Link Span Models The blue P&O Ferry Norland belongs to Paul and is a link span kit The Train ferry belongs to Nick and is scratch built. The white Finnjet is mine ,I hope to rebuild her this year. At the end the raido failled so celestine was pushing her in Last ferry Is Celestine ,Mine as well. A heavly modifed Deans Marine kit . Put Celestine and finnjet rc ferries in to facebook and all the build photos are there . It was a great 3 day show. Hope to be back in 2019 for the two day show. We hope to increase the number of ferries .
Hiya! Is the car ferry at 1.03 yours? Apologies in advance for sounding stupid....is this built for scratch...my son who is 8 soon has asked for the past 3 years for a ferry like this...Im told it MUST have a working ramp for him to load his cars on and off it... its the only thing he has asked for every birthday and Christmas. If its really expensive, then he will have to just watch the you tube videos on them...but any information would be much appreciated! Thank u!
@@susieowen6360 Hi Susie .It is great to hear your son has an interst in Ferries . It is a very modified kit to the part were only the hull was orignal . Expenssive yes and a lot of hard work to make and very decilate . Sadly these boat are not sutiable for an 8 year old. The orignal kit came from Deans marine
@@cosf918 I didn't know there once existed a FINNJET kit from Dean's Marine. I wonder if you already have started rebuilding her from scratch, as you wrote a year ago? Btw, I once drew a lines plan of FINNJET just for a lark, which I could provide if that would help you with your project. In case you might be suspicious about its usefulness for scale scratch builds, I dare mention that I provided the lines plan for Carl Tunnicliffe's (was this proper surname?) NORSTAR LinkSpan kit when he was designing it, and he made the mould's plug for the hull from it. I came across his kit design thread on the Model Boat Mayhem site which I found quite interesting and followed for a while.
@@othernicksweretaken Hi No one made a Finnjet kit. It was scratch built. It is Celestine who was made from a Deans kit. I have seen your Lines plane and a load you have done on a German Model boat forum and a few on Mayhem . Do you go by the name of deadwood. Finnjet is in rebuild at the moment . You got Carls name correct. I am currently working on his Norland john
You know I’m still thing that did the people built the boat & ship them selves? I also wonder if that there are really ship’s that once existed in real life?
I wonder how the ferries load autos on the upper deck. There doesn't seem to be a ramp location. Do they crane them all? On the lower decks the vehicles are facing aft. Did they all have to back in? Do they trust the idiot owners to do that or employ careless reckless teens?

Finally, a rc boat show in English, I was starting to learn German.
Yep. Almost all RC videos are German. Well, except military drones, most of them are USAian.

I remember when it helped the MS Estonia when she was sinking
I would've bawled my eyes out if I had seen this show as a kid. Those models look so good
I worked on the Norland for 3 1/2 years, under both liveries. Very detailed models, I could even pick out my old cabin.
That's great to hear Matt. Thanks for sharing. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
Matt Smith, wasn't the norland,s sister ship called the Norwave ?
@@gary96397 No, that was the the British crewed ferry to Rotterdam, Norsun was Dutch crewed to Rotterdam. The Norstar was the Noland's sister ship.
Hi Matt,
I wonder if your beautifully built NORLAND was based on one of Carl's Linkspan kits?
Cheers,
Ralph
Why is this so satisfying?
Very neat, beautifully crafted pieces of working art.
I love this video bravo essential RC
Stuart Little has been promoted to captain and he's sailing the Ferry now

Time depends on how much you put in .say 5hr a week could be done in 2 years . working features is what takes the time . Cost may be £2000
I need that RCL one!
What are you using for your smoke units? They look so small. Nice video. Thanks for sharing.
So manny beautiful ships. ....
But none from Stena Line ?
Ah ha ha ha Stena Line, Stena Line, ah ha ha ha Stena Liiiiiiiiiiiiiiine
I was going to say the same thing!! Love that meme

The water is too deep. You need to make a much shallower pool in order to get a more realistic movement and reduce the bobbing.
Juliana A lol it’s like 12inches
Caleb Niederhofer it should be half of that or less to cancel the bobbing.
The water was to shallow. The second dock could not be put out. There were tugs and some other big models that could not run later. The bobbing is because its a small shallow pool .
Really cool I never seen an rc ship show! Would be nice to see something like a freighter or tanker too.
Ferry nice ships
Nice models ! Why revell airfix heller ....... ?
Now make a Navy ship and fire torpedoes at it.
