    They'll work for reverse threads which is awesome before vice grips was all had. Anyone can put lifetime warranty on a package just getting warranty can be problematic. I'm not sure how gearwrench works I've heard some of these other Taiwan companies are easy to work with. I've encountered some that want tool sent to them to evaluate than if qualifies they'll send new 1 pain and once pay shipping could buy a replacement

    • @adriangonzalez7049
      @adriangonzalez7049 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jeramy Schaub from experience Gearwrench warranty is nearly impossible. When calling they will ask where you bought the tool from and warranty it though them. I bought all of them through Amazon. Amazon will tell you to warranty it though the manufacture. Warranty is not a problem when buying Gearwrench off the truck but will cost you twice as much for the same tool.

    Neat product, my only concern is the rounded off bolt I need it to work on will fall between the the 2 sizes, 19 minus and regular 19 for instance, so can you beat these sockets on a bolt like a regular extractor socket and be successful? Great demonstration as usual.

    • @KoonTrucking
      @KoonTrucking  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’m sure you can beat them on they have pretty thick walls. The way they are made I will say if the -19 doesn’t fit the regular one will.

    Do you own the SnapOn FDX sockets? I would not expect a regular one to get it loose, but would be interested to know if the FDX gets it loose. If you don't have a set, I would be happy to buy you a set just to have you test it out. I legitimately wonder how it does against these for my own personal knowledge. If you would be willing to test that out let me know. I have the 3/8 FDX set but have not had to use them yet.

    • @KoonTrucking
      @KoonTrucking  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I didn’t get them because I heard they had issues working on regular nuts and bolts. I decided to go with the turbo sockets instead for that reason. I know they cost a lot of money for what they are. I looked at them a few times on the truck and figured it wouldn’t be cost effective to buy them when a turbo or extraction socket would have to be used in most cases if they didn’t work anyway. I guess what I am trying to say is if I have to go to plan B, then there’s to reason to go to plan A.5 before going to B ? If that makes any sense. Now granted as you can tell from my videos I spend a good bit of money on tools, I just try to make the best purchases for the money. It would be interesting to know if they would remove them but as bad as they were rounded off, I seriously doubt they would. The video really doesn’t do them justice, they were almost completely round.

    • @billyclaymyers82
      @billyclaymyers82 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@KoonTrucking I understand. They definitely don't work on regular nuts and bolts due to how tight they are for the rounded stuff, much like these sockets don't work on regular bolts. I tried to stick it on one and that was a nogo. Do you have that display for a few more days? If so I will send a set of FDX to arrive Wednesday if you would be willing to test them out, and you guys can keep the set whether they work or not.

    • @KoonTrucking
      @KoonTrucking  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Billy Clay Myers yes I have the set from now on. They sent it to me. I was going to pass it on to Mr. Joe to display on his truck to help him sell some but I can hold off on giving them to him.

    This test seems somewhat faulty and misleading. You show that it will turn the bolt, but will it have enough bite to actually remove the bolt from the nut? Spinning the nut as you turn takes little torque vs actually separating fasteners. I mean not to blame you, I question Gearwrench testing unit.
