Storm Eunice : MAS struggle to land at Heathrow

Saat2 pesawat Malaysian Airlines cuba mendarat sewaktu ribut Eunice sdg melanda. Terdapat juga beberapa pesawat yg gagal utk melakukan pendaratan pada cubaan pertama dan terpaksa melakukan beberapa cubaan untuk mendarat akibat cuaca yang sgt buruk.

Thanks for the excellent coverage of these challenging approaches / go arounds. From where I sit (as a private pilot) the very fundamentals of flying are all safety based. An unstable approach in a larger aeroplane may or may not all be wind shear related. From what I can see, the majority of approaches were in a severely gusting crosswind with a crosswind component in excess of 35 knots (conservatively). Recently, landing in just a 15 knot gusting crosswind had me struggling with all 3 axes of control with unexpected updrafts and a go around before I could land. Kudos to all the brave pilots who made excellent decisions to mitigate unstable approaches by going around and learning from their missed approaches and eventually nailing their landings.
