Very innovative coach and trend setting. Going 3 in a row is extremely challenging, doing 2 back to back is amazing, to do 3....Oh so many things have to go your way.

When you're here in South Africa make sure you stay for the after match festivities. In Durban there are usually braais after the game and plenty alcoholic beverages to go around. All part of the rugby experience.

I told Rassie he would be the Bok coach once, many many years ago and his answer was so earnest and so respectful of what that role meant to us and him, that none of his success surprises me.

Thanks for informative, enthusiastic and balanced reporting. The best. I am cauciously optimistic about the Boks. They have a huge target on their backs, and I hope this coaching team gells and delivers the goods. We peak at the World Cup, but inbetween we slack off a bit. NZ and Ireland will be super motivated to move up in the rankings. The wheels seem to have come off France a bit.

    Tim - you are brilliant!
Your shows are so entertaining. I am not from South Africa but I do follow them and I know how important it is as a sport and cohesion factor for a country that is really mired in political and poorly governed country full of crime, corruption and inefficiency!

Selections make sense, Rassie big into alignment camps, and with Saffer players based in Europe, Japan and SA, Jerry covers welfare of players in Europe, Brown covers Japan(similar timelines) and the balance here in SA. Next level thinking and planning. Look forward to hopefully enjoying a beer when you are in SA.

Rassie has made some really interesting appointments . Tony Brown is a good signing. I particularly like Rassie signing Jerry Flannery. I think he will do well there
I met Jerry after he left Munster and went to Arsenal. I found him extremely interesting and very articulate
I think Rassie is developing a really coaching staff

When you come to South Africa, take some time to watch South African schools rugby from the point of view as a coach. you'll see two very different rugby cultures in the schools. This stems partly from apartheid that created two different cultures, one culture is what you can directly see as traditional South African rugby. But the other is a lot closer to New Zealand type of rugby. You'll see the difference in the SA Schools and Craven week teams.
It's important to understand that South Africa has two rugby cultures to understand why Rassie got a New Zealander as attack coach. Kolbe, Libbock, Willemse, and many more of the scarily fast wingers in South Africa come from the second culture. Rassie Has a very challenging task of unifying these two cultures into one. and more that any tactical input his coaching group is there to guide a type of marriage of the two cultures.
