I’m doing the snowball method with extra payments. I used to be a believer in the avalanche method, but freeing up those smaller balances is so motivating - total game changer! Fantastic video, as always. ❤️

I'm doing the avalanche method..I have dropped from $37,000 to $10,600..I have everything moved to zero %. I will not be able to pay it all.in 18 mo but I'm saving $126 in interest expense..With inflation continuing to skyrocket I am OK paying a bit extra while eating healthy..keep my very small house at a comfortable temperature . I usually get a number of zero % balance offers. In 16 months if I get more offers I'll apply for another one.

My kids was off school for the eclipse because we are in totality. And they said traffic would be crazy. So they gave the kids the day off. I watched it with my kids! It was so cool!
I pay off the smallest balance first!

I always pay at least $2 more than the minimum because the computer registers it as me paying more than the minimum.

Maybe I’m not understanding the snowball method correctly but if you are paying the minimum balance for your target bill in May and June, wouldn’t your balance be lower once you start the snowball in July?
