Some really cool moments there Shales. This game certainly has it's moments of brilliance, It would've been an awesome alternative for us alongside PES 4 if we could get it in Europe. Now that i observe more it appears the celebrations must've been mo-capped. It doesn't look like all gameplay animations were so, Some are clearly hand made.
The attention to detail is astonishing! Even Robbie Keans celebration being in the game! And don't start me on the nets! 😂 Head and shoulders above Fifa on the PS2. Just shows that you don't need all the bells and whistles to create a satisfying football game. End of the day its all about the game play for me 👍 keep it up mate love the videos

I only played it for the 1st time last year. I’ve know about it for several years though as it’s known as the “Nets” game, haha.
Would love to know how long it took for them to create those net physics, also how they done it. FIFA has improved theirs in recent years but they still aren't as good as these.

Seems like the ISS brand got forgotten when KCEO split from KCET, and they rebranded as PES. Shame we haven't got more variety of developers for current and next gen consoles that could produce a decent foot all game. Was this as fun to play as it is to watch? Good stuff, mate!
Yeah I remember them games. I have the majority of them. I loved the N64 games at the time but I do struggle to enjoy them now though. ISS on the PS2 was the first PS2 game I ever played as I got it on the day I got my PS2. I do miss the variety of games today. If I’m honest, playing this game did become a chore after a couple of hours. There was quite a lot of moments that were ruined by bad GK positioning and reactions. I feel I captured the really good moments. And thank you for watching 👍
By the way did you know that Konami and EA Sports worked together to make a PS2 football game that uses the FIFA 2005 graphics and 75% gameplay but the PES 4 / Winning Eleven Team Management and a few extra animations and gameplay tweaks and improvements. The game was Japan only and was released to celebrate 100 years of FIFA. It's called "FIFA Total Football 2". There was a prequel released in the same year, also Japan only, which was using the FIFA 2004 / PES 3 combo.

Probably they did that via JFA and JFA.MAX - they appear as the first logos in the intro (similar to PES games from that era).

Thanks for checking the vids out 👍 Both are certainly great to have if you like to collect games. Out of the two, you’d probably get more game time out of Football Kingdom. It is the much better game overall. Both games have great bits about them though. The animations in World Fantasista are incredible for a game of its time. The gameplay is a bit clunky though. Football Kingdom has many great ideas in terms of gameplay. It brought in 360 movement and the gameplay feels very ‘free’. Plus them net physics 👌. If you can find them at a good price then I’d say grab them. I probably don’t have to mention it but you’d need a Modded PS2 to play them. They don’t emulate that well at all if you’re thinking about playing them on an emulator like PCSX2.

The nets in these are still better than Fifa and Pes to this day. Net physics are one of the most satisfying/underrated pieces of a futbol video game
