Path of Titans is an MMO dinosaur video game being developed for home computers, consoles, and mobile devices. You will be able to play as one of ten core dinosaurs in a rich ecosystem with complex AI creatures and up to 200 other players per server. Explore an environment filled with activities and natural events, while customizing your dinosaur to suit your play style and avoiding death. From smaller creatures like Camptosaurus to the giant Daspletosaurus, discover the dinosaur that most appeals to you and complete quests and achievements to unlock new abilities and skins. Join a herd or a pack of other players and work together to complete goals that you might not be able to do on your own.
By paying attention to detail and building fun gameplay we will create a comprehensive dinosaur MMO survival game for dinosaur enthusiasts and fanatics alike.
While the initial goal of Path of Titans is to provide a framework for players to play as and customize their favorite prehistoric beasts, we will also provide powerful modding tools to allow you to shape the game in the way you like. We will continue adding new content as well, including new creatures, skins, maps, and ongoing support for these modding tools. We will also be paying close attention to the Path of Titans community, and incorporate community feedback as well as let you vote on future additions and progress.

A dinosaur game made by developers who seem to actually understand how an ecosystem works, and that it's not all about giant, bellowing behemoths. I'm most excited to play as that latenivenatrix.
Ninja Weasel I really wanna play as the Lambeosaurus! I'm in love with that low bellowing/tuba-like noise, and it looks surprisingly graceful while maintaining the look of being a huge dinosaur! I also have to play as Allosaurus, considering that it has been my childhood favorite!
@@Spooqi I love these vocals as well. They sound scary, but not like the movie-monster calls that The Isle uses. These dinosaurs sound like actual animals which is even better. I hope they plan to add different calls.
The Latenivenatrix will definitely be my favorite, but I'm also looking forward to the Struthiomimus. Small, speedy dinosaurs have always been more interesting to me than the large, stomping beasts, though I think I'd enjoy the Allosaurus as well
I feel like when/if the PoT devs start adding more dinosaurs, they'll be more open to the idea of smaller ones, something all other dinosaur games are severly lacking in.
@mm43501 Glad you like the ideas I come up with, which reminds me that I need to finish a couple threads I have on that forum that I forgot about.
I do love The Isle, but I'm starting to feel like maybe it's not what I thought it would be. So far, it's just been large, loud dinosaurs and that's not something I'm necessarily interested in. The only large creature that genuinely interests me is the Deinosuchus.
I'm still hoping for small carnivores to be a thing, but The Isle developers just aren't interested in that. Path Of Titans looks like the developers understand that, so I may end up ditching The Isle entirely if they don't deliver.

I fully agree with you on this. The isle is amazing for its interaction with its players, But I’m happy for the competition and I can now play on my PS4 and still be able to play with others whom have PC! So this game beats the isle when it comes down to those things. I still do love how Isle developers are open and always adding something different without telling us it’s a “giant” update with new features. Still waiting on the giant Croc!! No offense to this game but the isle wins with their design!!!

This looks amazing, one of my favorite features is the cross platform you guys plan. I cant wait to play this on pc with my friend on xbox! Also, you guys probably know this already but you legit have zero competition on consoles and mobile, you will be the first developers to make a dino survival game on those platforms, good job.

@@MrBroxyBobuxmachine No I did not, but like my boy Triceratops Horridus1021 said, Ark is a survival game with dinos, not a fully fledged dino simualator. JWE is just a dino park building game, consoles have no real dino simulator games like this. The only competition Path of Titans will have is against The Isle on pc, but no one on consoles and mobile, and to be honest, alot of what they plan to do and are showing make me want to play it more than the isle anyway!

They are currently developing console support!!! Consoles will just take more time to launch! And idk about switch but Xbox and PS4 are planned.

i understand there are alot of misconceptions about both dev teams, but neither is better nor worse.
Their main programmer is deathly, the programmer that fucked over most of The Isle’s code and caused them to begin restructuring their base code. So I doubt this will amount to much of anything. Also that cross-platform stuff is complete bullshit lmao

Journey Zarcone I personally wouldn’t assume so much about a game you haven’t even played yet. I certainly have high hopes for this game and I completely agree it has TONS of potential, but the game isn’t even in early access, yet. So I would personally hold on having such strong opinions until we see more development from the game and actually get our hands on it.
I'm glad that you'll be adding dinosaurs that aren't well known showing more people how many different species there are and how beautiful they are. Especially with Lambeosaurus a dinosaur I loved as a kid as it made me think of my name. And styraccosaurus being shown with massive spikes and more frightening to see than a Triceratops.
Oh my, you probably reignited my childhood obsession with dinosaurs :) And with Linux release, you are doing everything right so far; I really wish there was an option of using Steam though (I think I would pay extra for that…).

@@paleo1825 well, the Isle devs certainly aren't organized or good at prioritizing. Examples being waiting 6 months after their game breaks to do the recode.
Working on those Strain monsters instead of focusing on the animals that are actually part of the core of the game.
The Swim-Dive-Fishing system is something that has been "coming soon" for 4 years. Deinosuchus has been "coming soon" for 3 years.
Early Access is early access, but that does not mean "be in progress for 4 years and still be exactly where you were at the beginning."
The Isle's great and all, but you can't even call it a game yet. It's a more broken, more boring version of Progression and is quite possibly the worst it's ever been.

This game as been in developpement for about 1/4 of the developpement time of the Isle and is going in a way better way then the Isle, sorry but it's true.
Some developpers left the developpement team of the isle because it was not organized and made their owm game, Path of titans
Just imagine how much The Isle could have been done by now if they started the recode the moment they realized their game was fucked up. It could be finished or at least close to finished by now.
Instead, they waited 6 God damn months for who knows what fucking reason.
On top of that, for all their creative praise, TI devs apparently struggle to come up with niches and abilities for over half of their roster. Take a look at their Steam discussions. The community has come up with ideas for every single dino that the devs said "oh we don't know how that could work"
At this point, it just seems to be laziness at its finest. They could do so much with their dinosaurs, it's just a problem of not wanting to.
So basically the Isle but better?

The only thing that worries me is being cross platform with mobile devices seems like a lot to get wrong, and typically that winds up dumbing down the experience for PC users.

When I saw The Grim Expance I was like, wait I know this map, I cannot wait for this to come out so I can see that map again it’s been so long sense I have been on it, it was one of the best desert maps to.

If pterosaurs ever become playable, Dsungaripterus and Scaphognathus would be cool. As a smaller pterosaur like Scaphognathus, you could get your food by catching bugs and cleaning the teeth of much larger predators like the Allosaurus.

We need to make this game become a reality, I played Ark for so long wishing that at some point the devs would create an adequate ecosystem that doesn’t consists of just aggressive AI and wretched servers. Fluid movement animation. I’ve always wanted a game, in which you play as dinosaurs, to have fluid, realistic movement animations. Especially jumps. When the creature jumps, it should show how it lowers its body in preparation of the jump, then how the weight shifts while it is in the air, then have it land in a lower position as it absorbs the impact before continuing its run. When dinosaurs are walking around it should show their bodies tilting and curving to avoid impact with trees and other obstacles. When they change directions it should show the body curving into the turn rather than just a stiff spin. It’s the little things. But I’m actually quite excited about this, as I’m a console player and have been waiting for this kind of game for the consoles.

I think it would be a great idea to add killing-finishing animations to make your victory stand out. For instance, when your are about to kill an enemy, you could press a specific key on the keyboard and an animation would startbplaying. This is featured in the video games like Mortal Kombat, Apex Legends and in Jurassic World Evolution. I do think it would amazing to see this in your game! I hope you liked my idea
I think "FATALITY" Killing animations is bad idea.... Because in this animation dino is so weak. Adult Allo can kill Adult T-Rex if he is in animation. Sorry im Rus.
Creators of PoT are very talented so i think we will See that too in the future.
They did tho, go watch their previous video and you can see that they have "fatalities" for now I'm pretty sure it's only on the camptosaurus but they'll probably add more of them as the time goes

@@yamerrune I believe they will come up with a solution about this problem, if they decide to add this feature. For example, an idea would that you can't do the fatality animation if your stamina or health is too low
I wonder if it’ll be free or not. After seeing this (this is the first time I’ve seen this), I think The Isle might finally have a real competitor. I’m excited to see this develop, and I’m ABSOLUTELY STOKED for this to come to mobile...it’s about time mobile got a good dinosaur game. the gameplay still looks a bit rough around the edges and i'm not sure if the game can entertain for prolonged periods of time, but the graphical quality and especially the modeling and animation of the dinosaurs are amazing. you really nailed that aspect.

**Unsere Dinosaurier
**
Nach der Veröffentlichung von Path of Titans bieten wir dir 10 verschiedene Dinosaurierarten zum spielen an.
Alle Spielbaren Dinosaurier sind hier aufgelistet:
-Der Allosaurus, ein mittelgroßer Fleischfresser aus der Jura-Periode. Ein vielseitiger Karnivor, der es auch mit größeren Beutetieren aufnehmen kann, wenn er aus der Gruppe heraus agiert.
-Der Stegosaurus, ein mittelgroßer Pflanzenfresser aus der Jura-Periode. Ausgestattet mit tödlichen Schwanzstacheln, bieten diese ihm einen optimalen Ausgleich zwischen Offensive und Defensive.
-Der Ceratosaurus, ein kleiner Fleischfresser aus der Jura-Periode. Durch seine geringe Größe ist er optimal geschaffen um schnell und geschickt an seine Beute zu gelangen.
-Der Camptosaurus, ein kleiner Pflanzenfresser aus der Jura-Periode, der durch seine geringe Größe unheimlich schnell im Dikicht verschwinden und sich somit optimal vor größeren Raubtieren verstecken kann.
-Der Styracosaurus, ein mittelgroßer Pflanzenfresser aus der Kreidezeit, bietet mit seinen großen Hörnern einen optimalen Schutz gegen Angriffe vor Fressfeinden.
Des weiteren werden bei Veröffentlichung des Spiels folgende Dinosaurier spielbar sein: Der Latenivenatrix, Der Struthiomimus, Der Lambeosaurus, Der Suchomimus und der Daspletosaurus. Jeder einzelne mit einzigartigen Spielweisen und Mechaniken, die sich von den anderen Dinosauriern unterscheiden.
Diese 10 verschiedene Dinosaurier wurden für Path of Titans ausgewählt, da sie sogenannte “Nischen - Dinosaurier” sind und sich untereinander stark in ihrer Lebensweise unterschieden haben. Entweder durch natürliche Vorkommnisse oder unseren Designentscheidungen, die es dir ermöglichen eine große Auswahl an verschiedenen Spielstilen auszuprobieren.
Zudem hat sich das Team dazu entschieden auch Dinosaurier auszuwählen, die nicht häufig genug von den Medien repräsentiert werden, wie zum Beispiel der Lambeosaurus oder unser Styracosaurus.
All diese Dinosaurier wurde nach aktuellem, wissenschaftlichem Stand modelliert in Bezug auf Größe, Länge und kleinere Details wie zum Beispiel Befederung, Schuppen und verschiedene Audio, sowie ästhetische charakteristiken.
Uns ist bewusst, dass einige der genannten Dinosaurier nicht zur gleichen Zeit gelebt haben und somit eine akkurate Darstellung deren Ökosystems nicht erfolgen kann, aus diesem Grund ist es möglich Dinosaurier aus anderen Zeitperioden in den Serveroptionen zu deaktivieren, wenn gewünscht.
**Quests
**
Das primäre Gameplay von Path of Titans besteht darin eine 64 Quadratkilometer große Karte zu erforschen und dabei Quests und anderweitige Aufgaben zu komplettieren, während du mit unserer prähistorischen Tierwelt interagieren kannst.
Quest werden von einfachen Aufgaben wie zum Beispiel das Sammeln von nahrhafter Flora, jagen von bestimmten Beutetieren, das Beschützen von Herdenmitgliedern während einer Attacke oder das erforschen von unterirdischen Höhlensystemen um seltene Flora zu suchen, bestehen. Diese Quests werden, mit Realismus im Hinterkopf, auf die von dir gewählte Dinosaurier-Klasse angepasst. Das bedeutet zum Beispiel, dass eine kleine Pflanzenfresser-Klasse die Aufgabe bekommt bestimmte Arten von Flora im Dikicht zu sammeln, während große Pflanzenfresser Quests zur Migration von A nach B bekommen können um neue Futterplätze zu finden.
Je nachdem welche Spielweise du bevorzugst, sei es nun ein Soloabenteuer oder in einer Gruppe, erhältst du für das erfolgreiche Abschließen von Aufgaben sogenannte “Marken” als Belohnung. Dieses Punktesystem kann optional für das Freischalten neuer Attribute oder zum Erwerben von neuen Anpassungen deines Charakters verwendet werden.
**Attribut-System
**
Unser Attribut-System erlaubt es dir deinen Dinosaurier individuell zu gestalten. Neben der zusätzlichen Attacken die du damit freischalten kannst, bieten dir neue Attribute die Wahl zwischen verschiedenen Geschwindigkeitsstufen und biologischen Funktionen wie zum Beispiel der Metabolismus deines Dinosauriers, sowie dessen Sichtweite.
Als Beispiel kannst du durch das Auswählen eines Geschwindigkeits Attributes die Schnelligkeit deines Dinosauriers verbessern und zugleich werden diese neuen Veränderungen auch positive Auswirkungen auf deine Ausdauer haben.
Eine ähnliche vorgehensweise wird bei der Auswahl neuer Attacken verwendet. Entscheide dich zwischen schnellen “Hit and Run” Attacken oder wähle stärkere, aber dafür langsamere Attacken aus, die dir dafür einen größeren Wirkungsbereich ermöglichen und mehr Schaden zufügen können.
Durch das erfolgreiche Abschließen von Quests und anderen Aufgaben können diese Attribute später im Spiel mit unserem Punktesystem, den “Marken”, freigeschaltet werden.
**Charakter Anpassung
**
Diese “Marken” können außerdem zur Freischaltung neuer Dinosaurier Arten in einer bereits bestehenden Dinosaurier Gattung verwendet werden oder kann zur kosmetischen Veränderungen deines Charakters eingetauscht werden.
Wir legen großen Wert auf realistische, immersive Farbspektren, weswegen du eine große Auswahl an bereits vorgefertigten Farbpaletten zur Auswahl hast um deinen Skin nach deinen Vorlieben zu färben. Des weiteren stehen dir, pro Skin, 3 verschiedene Feder-/ oder Schuppenmuster zur Verfügung.
Mit dieser Form des Farbmanagements wird eine große Variation zwischen den einzelnen Skins ermöglicht, während zugleich ein realistisches Maß an Farboptionen eingehalten wird ohne zu viele Färbungsoptionen auszuschließen.
Das Bedeutet, dass in einer großen Herde an Spielern kein einziger Charakter genau gleich aussehen wird, es sei denn man versucht sich an einem Dino-Partnerlook.
**Gruppen- und Guildensystem **
Kein MMO is komplett ohne ein ausgeklügeltes Kommunikationssystem. Path of Titans wird zwei verschiedene Arten der Gruppierung anbieten: Packs und Clans.
Packs bestehen aus bis zu 5 Spielern, die sich auf dem gleichen Server befinden müssen. Packmitglieder können ihre Quests und dessen Fortschritt mit der Gruppe teilen um gemeinsam dessen Belohnung zu erhalten. Ein Pack löst sich auf, wenn entweder alle Mitglieder sich ausloggen oder der Server gewechselt wird.
Clans hingegen bieten dir ein anhaltende Gruppe, die es dir ermöglicht serverweit zu kommunizieren, optimierte Verbindungsmöglichkeiten und die Möglichkeit schwierigere, Clan spezifische Quests zu starten, die organisiertes und koordiniertes Teamwork verlangen, um bessere/größere Belohnungen zu erhalten.
**Dinosaurier und Kleintiere mit künstlicher Intelligenz
**
Die Welt von Path of Titans wird zum Großteil durch eine vielseitige Auswahl an verschiedenen KI Dinosauriern und Kleintieren bevölkert werden. Diese KI’s besitzen komplexe Verhaltensweisen abhängig von Spezies und deren momentanen Zustand.
Pflanzenfresser KI wird vor Raubtieren fliehen, sobald sie entdeckt wurden, jedoch spielt auch hier die Spezies eine große Rolle. Ein Styracosaurus wird nicht immer vor dir fliehen. Sie können auch in die Defensive übergehen oder dich und deine Gruppe angreifen, wenn sie sich in deiner Nähe bedroht fühlen.
Kleintiere wie unsere Eidechsen und Schildkröten werden fliehen sobald sie Gefahr entdecken, jedoch wird größere KI wie zum Beispiel unsere Krokodile versuchen dich zu jagen, solltest du einen kleinen Dinosaurier spielen wie zum Beispiel den Camptosaurus.
Neben den bis zu 200 Spielern pro Server macht die große Anzahl an KI Kreaturen, die Path of Titans bevölkern, das Spiel zu einem wundervollen Erlebnis mit einem reich gedeckten Ökosystem in der prähistorischen Zeit der Dinosaurier, die du entweder im Multiplayer oder Singleplayer erleben kannst.
**Plattformübergreifende Funktionalität
**
Eine weiteres großes Feature, welches das Path of Titans Team mit großem Engagement einführen wird ist die Option des Plattformübergreifenden Spielspaßes.
Das bedeutet, egal auf welcher Plattform gespielt wird, die Path of Titans anbietet, jeder Spieler kann mit Jedem interagieren, egal auf welchem Server oder Gerät, das benutzt wird.
Das bedeutet auch, dass Charaktere auf allen unterstützten Geräten und Plattformen übertragen werden können.
Momentan unterstützt Path of Titans Windows, Mac, Linux und Smartphones. Des weiteren wird momentan an einer Konsolenversion gearbeitet. Ebenfalls sind Controller voll funktionsfähig für alle Plattformen verwendbar, um für das nötige Feingefühl zu sorgen.
**Mod-Unterstützung**
Eine Community ist für jedes Spiel unentbehrlich. Wir, von Path of Titans, erkennen das unglaubliche Maß an Leidenschaft und Talent unserer Community an. Deswegen bieten wir dir großartige Modding Werkzeuge, die für jeden frei zur Verfügung stehen.
Jeder wird in der Lage sein unser “Dev-Kit” herunterzuladen und kann sofort mit dem kreieren von Mods beginnen. Einen leichten Start in die Modding-Szene bieten wir dir durch detailreiche und ausgiebige Modding Guides sowie Tutorials. Dadurch wird gewährleistet, dass jeder die Chance hat in der Modding-Szene kreatives zu erschaffen, sei es nun als Veteran, Neu-/ oder Quereinsteiger.
Es stehen dir eine Vielzahl an optimierten Accessoires, Objekten und Effekten zur Verfügung die du nach belieben, frei als Path of Titans Modder, für alle Plattformen verwenden kannst. Im Laufe der Zeit werden unsere Modding Werkzeuge stets mit neuen Optionen und Assets erweitert.
Jeder Modder kann seine Kreation auf unseren Server hochladen. Diese werden deine Mods automatisch Updaten und können über unsere Mod Rubrik im Launcher von jedem User angesehen und aktiviert werden. All das wird durch unser Mod-Bereitstellungs backend ermöglicht.
Das bedeutet auch, dass unsere Server jeden hochgeladenen Mod für alle Operating-Systeme wie Mac und Linux anpassen und gegebenenfalls umbauen wird. Dadurch wird ermöglicht, dass jeder Mod auf allen Plattformen und Geräten funktioniert und kompatibel ist, auch wenn der Modder diese selbst nicht besitzt.
**Für was werden die Einnahmen verwendet?
**
Path of Titans befindet sich momentan Mitten in der Entwicklung, dementsprechend benötigen wir einen Großteil an Einnahmen für die Bezahlung unserer jetzigen Programmierer und Designer und müssen zudem noch weitere Personen einstellen um die Spielentwicklung schneller voranzutreiben.
Diese Einnahmen werden verteilt auf zusätzliches Sound-Design, 3D Modellierung, Animation, Programmierung der Mechaniken und Modding Werkzeugen, Map Entwicklung und unsere finale Phase mit ausgiebigen Spieletests, Bug fixes und für den letzten Feinschliff des Spiels.
Da wir unseren eigenen Launcher verwenden werden kommen zu den jetzigen Kosten noch folgende dazu: Server hosting und deren Benutzungsgebühren, Download Bandbreite sowie Registrationsgebühren für das Entwickeln und Verwenden der verschiedene Plattformen auf denen Path of Titans gespielt werden kann.
**Was sind die nächsten Schritte, nachdem diese Kampagne endet?

Unsere nächsten Schritte nachdem unsere “Indiegogo” Kampagne endet wird es sein weitere Talente einzustellen, um die benötigte Entwicklung und Implementierung der genannten Mechaniken und Features für Path of Titans herauszubringen.
Ebenso werden wir kontinuierlich weiter Entwicklungs-Blogposts sowie neue spannende Mechanik und Feature Videoclips veröffentlichen um dich auf dem neusten Stand unserer Entwicklung zu halten. Eine weitere Aufgabe nach der Indiegogo Kampagne wird es sein die letzten Vorbereitungen für unsere erste öffentliche Testing Runde, im Verlaufe dieses Jahres, auf die Beine zu stellen. @Dieter Gaudlitz the isle used to be an amazing game and all around fantastic,then they introduced the hypo dinos then more mutated dinosaurs and then they involved humans and that just ruined the game so much,the isle is only fun on a realism server,and even then,realism can be really stressful and alot of servers are dead or dont have many people. Its nice to have a fresh new dinosaur game that doesnt have all that mutated dinosaur,human business,just a genuinely good dinosaur game that feels like its in prehistory

If you compare it to the largerst theropods, well, then it looks small... but overall, it's no way small. It weights a lot for its size and could reach similar sizes to Allosaurus, especially C.dentisulcatus.

Man to hell with the Isle bought that game thinking it was gunna be great only to find out its just a social club game for discord users, and if you don't use their discord servers they kick you. Plus most of the isle community I came across were not helpful and rude to me for asking simple questions like "Any (dinosaur type) packs I can join?" Hope this game is what I've been waiting for and so far its seems like it is!

Filipp Australovenator 2.0 | The game and developers already are proving themself of making an excellent game (take down animation, fishing animation, eco system, amazing graphics and color and patterns pptionfor you dino)all of this which the isle still doesn’t have even after 5 years or something but after all The isle isnt really planning to be a dino game in the future of the game is gonna be horror/dino game (experimental creatures vs humans vs dinosaurus) like primal carnage but with some more stuff.
So everyone is looking more forward to this game and hope that it goes exactly as plan.

Eco system - Is about separating jurassic period dinosaurs with cretaceous period dinosaurs you can still have this together but the game allows you to choose whether you want it separated or together which the isle doesn’t, also large sauropods in the isle are barely played so that POT doesn’t at them isn’t that much of a deal.
Graphics - in the isle are good but in my opinion this game looks nicer.
Skins - i haven’t said that POT added it first what i said is that you can have more of an option on designing you dinosaur skin unlike the isle.
The game is been released on in 2015 after actually” almost” 5 years the haven’t added any animation unlike POT, eco system for balance between time periods and aquatic life, the game has been released 4-5 years with also 2 to 3 years of development POT is making similar progress in 1-3 years and is proving themselves.
The isle is planning on having an dinosaurs only version in the game but can they keep that promise i have been around the game when it came and they removed lots of stuff like the V2 Map.
The people that are looking forward are the people that aware about this game and some isle players, the isle might be having 3,7K people compared to POT because the game barely known, its isn’t yet on steam so people will not about it yet but if the game is released you think the numbers of the isle will stay that way?
EDIT : the game will also be more popular then the Isle because it will be made on all gaming platforms so 1,5K supporters is gone increase alot after release.

Both games have advantages and disadvantage over each other but we should wait till POT have been released then we can discuss more about which is better because the game as you said show little content due there focus on the dinosaurs and environment modeling.
