I'm really shocked that nobody mentions holy ghost...this shit is a religious masterpiece...asap rocky lays down maybe his best verse period and joe fox killed the hook, it almost got me on my knees praying...
I think Kanye's guest verses are as good as the artist he's collaborating with. Since Rocky is an awful lyricist, Kanye adapted accordingly and put out a horrible verse.
tochiRTA I really liked the mixtape too but i prefer this album more as a complete project. The 1st half of the mixtape was amazing, songs like "Bass","Wassup","Palace","Peso","Keep it g" etc. I still listen to those songs today but the 2nd half was just meh for me aside from Houston old head.
the second half of the mixtape is definitely weaker. But how can you forget "Demons?" that's easily a top 5 Rocky song, if not top 3. "Leaf" and "Kissin Pink" are fantastic.
Genesis there's nothing overrated about Live.Love.ASAP. IMO, this is the best rap album of the year so far. I love the production, the versatility, features, and flow patterns Rocky uses, all fucking dope. I'm looking forward to his next project for sure.
I liked the album. Wasn't as good as Live.Love or Long.Live, but solid album. Felt like this was Rocky's "Yeezus" moment as far as experimenting and trying different stuff. Best Rocky Albums 3.At.Long.Last 2.Live.Love 1.Long.Live A$AP
I've just been so amazed and pleased with the albums that have been released this year and at the end of last year. This is an album you can chill and smoke to, or cruise to. The production is awesome and the lyrics are nice too. This album and Joey Bada$$ album are my favorites released this year.
This album completely floored me. Live. Love. A$AP was very mediocre, Long. Live. A$AP was just completely awful. But this record right here is fucking dope, it's really dark and moody and druggy, but not in a boring way like Earl Sweatshirts album. But in a very interesting and methodical way. Mm the beats are definitely the highlight, and the flows were on point. I think he stepped it up a lot lyrically, but if being lying if I didn't feel that there is something to be desired in terms of bars. But still a dope album
Then you should do more research into who Rocky is, the first mixtape is completely amazing and in every way better than this, il give you the debut tho, i mean like the not commercial parts of it but i understand you
Long. Live was just really bad IMO. It didn't take any risks, the beats were very generic, lyrically it didn't leave any effect at all, there were some skipable tracks, some bad features, wasn't cohesive. All around IMO it was pretty bad
I'm not even a huge ASAP fan, and didn't really mess with his last album like that... and I honestly just checked this project out out of curiosity... but damn, I was blown away. The beats, and the way he flows and the lyrical content is dope as hell and better than what he's done previously, and I'm actually gonna go back and give his first album another shot lol. Dope review fellas
Personally I loved the it! It's different, if you followed how Joe Fox came to be on the album it makes it even more dope, Kanye kind of disappointed me (I'm sure he's gonna go off on his own album though), the rest of the features though! The sounds are what really did it for me, I personally loved LSD (it wasn't my favorite track though) but I don't get why people can't just appreciate a song that's not just trying to do too much.. In all, this is in my top 10 for the year so far!
Mtthew 123 not really. i don't hear the similarities. production is completely different as is the singing style, only way you could say it's similar is if you only listen to trap music and therefore anyone singing sounds the same.
Great review, I love when yyou guys get excited about things. Me personally, I still have mixed fellings toward this album. Favorite tracks: LSD & Excuse Me. But it's cool. It'll eventually click. That Live.Love.ASAP Review is a DEHH classic though.
Hell yeah! This is one of my most anticipated albums and I bought it day it came out but haven't had the perfect time to give it a full listen. This review sure making me want to find The time
You guys REALLY should be uploading the audio of these reviews to Soundcloud as a podcast, and it'll sync to iTunes. I would subscribe and it would be much easier to keep up.
Jake Denning Working on it homie. We have a few uploaded to Soundcloud now. I'm working on the process on ways to make it easier. They won't upload the same day though.
Please review "Surf" by Donnie Trumpet and the Social Experiment. Chance the rapper is apart of the group and is featured throughout the project( however, this is not chance's debut album). There are also a multitude of popular/ well known artists on this track, both young and old, that have pretty good features in my opinion. Did I mention this album is free on Itunes?!
That moment when Myke said "I love this album", i was like hold up, wait a minute, let me rewind that, did he really just say that? Myke likes an asap rocky album :o
The only people that are going to LOVE this album, all the way through, and have high replay value for is mainly die hard fans of A$AP, and people that just appreciate music like this. It's real experimental, in terms of the flows Rocky delivers, instrumentals, (OF FUCKING COURSE) and the ways Rocky gives more of himself on the project. In terms of having a more projected feeling, it's his most personal, and putting in consideration the death of A$AP Yams. Rest in peace. This was a huge project for him and definitely his best project to date. Though, we barely know where Rocky is going to be headed, but you know he's going to keep evolving. As artists always do, I'm a huge fan of A$AP and just appreciate music as a whole in every sense, I think the sounds and vibrations Rocky's going to be giving to hip-hop and just the world, is something extremely rad.
I'm surprised you guys gave it such a positive review. I am definitely an asap fan I love his style this album is dope best album I've heard so far this year.
I honestly think this album is flat out fantastic. He's changed but in a good way unlike many rappers that try to be "different". He's spitting bars and good ones. Wow I sound white. Well I am white. And I love this album. He's really progressed as an artist. And it's a near perfect album.
Where does one go to donate a few dollars and support you guys movement? I really appreciate what Yall guys do man! Yall really do a great job of reviewing hip hop albums. You guys are like the SPORTSCENTER/ESPN of HipHop these days! Keep it up!
Andrew Louis to pimp a butterfly was the best album of 2015 but A.L.LA was my favorite to listen to. Rocky said his past albums were just for the record company on A.L.L.A he did what he wanted to do.
+xavier jenkins that's cool man, I can understand long live a$ap being an album for the record company, that album was so radio friendly. but live love a$ap? that shit was the hallmark and birth of modern cloud rap, it still bumps today man ahaha
Not gonna lie, I didn't really like this album too much when I listened to it the first few times upon its release. I initially gave it a 5/10 but as time as gone on, I've actually really been fucking with this album. I think Rocky really found himself musically in this album. As of now I believe it's a solid 9. No doubt.
How in the world did Rocky "perfect his craft"? He started off in his first mixtape as a kid who grew up in the internet age who really liked southern rap. Beats/production was on point, lyrically he was not but his personality (swag, drugs, women) and way he rapped made up for that. His second album proved that his music/personality appealed to the mainstream and he had some variety. So this album is essentially a step back for him imo because of the lack of personality; simple and short boom bap pop rap was and still is his bread and butter
I agree this album was too long, lyrically he isn't good but what I like about ASAP is that he sounds good aesthetically. But this bored the hell out of me, the features were trash and too much filler.
***** 808s is kanyes second best album IMO. He killed every verse on that album but he knew he had to end it off with a Wayne feature, and Wayne fuckin murdered that song, the chorus more than anything. Only Wayne could do a chorus like that. Kanye ain't a true lyricist honestly
I don't know if you already done it but would you guys consider reviewing rap battles? I think that would be fun to see especially with characters like daylyt.
Song wasn't incredible in terms of his singing or lyrically, to be honest I just really like the psychedelic instrumental and the music video, but not the song as a whole.
I think I kinda agree more with Mr. Beezy -- there were definitely tracks that I got out of A.L.L.A, but for the most part the project left me feeling like a tranquillised sloth; whether it was Rocky's improved lyricism, or the 'chill' production that did this, I don't quite know. I do agree with Mr. C-Town though, the project did feel like a natural step forward from the Live.Love.ASAP mixtape. As such, I guess I respect the ambition put into A.L.L.A. However, my lack of excitement towards the project has me questioning life. Am I just that dull? Has my natural chill cancelled out the chill vibe from the production and Rocky, thus defaulting me to boredom? *Shrugs* Oh wells. Anyways, sorry for the long post, but as usual DEHH content gets me thinking of different perspectives and the like. Keep up the good work!
Fantano tripping. This a great ass album
classic beezy last remark: "I mean, it's not like I'm gonna listen to this AGAIN... but yeah, I GUESS this sorta shows a progression, but... " lol

SHOUTS TO BONES MAN! AND ITS TEAM SESH! KEN!
I thought the album was boring. Didn't really care for it like that.
LaRel Price what do you think of Rocky's previous releases?
tochiRTA His first album was pretty good. It was way better than this one.
LaRel Price LongLiveASAP? the one with Goldie on it?
tochiRTA Yep.
did you hear the mixtape before the album?
Overall best album this year, and theres been a lot of them! Great review as well by you guys...on point as usual!
This album bored me to death. And that Kanye verse? Awful. At least Wayne is showing that he has something left.
What world are we living in where Kanye had the worst verse and Wayne had the best?
Anthony Witherow same world as always, forever remix, swagga like us remix, Barry bonds, see you in my nightmares. Wayne always kills kanye
Xavier Jarnaki um no. Maybach Music 2. Now have a seat.
Yall boys on it!!
Canal St. is the only song I liked. LSD was garbage.
AFIGHTCHANNEL Type in, "Bones-Dirt"...........

I don't know if you already done it but would you guys consider reviewing rap battles? I think that would be fun to see especially with characters like daylyt.
Where's the Kendrick review

Dope review I honestly want a review for Fabolous I want to know how you guys feel about him and young thug
I will never understand how anyone can listen to L$D & be like "oh this is fire"
Opinions dude
Yeah I wasn't really into that song.
poetryjesus its a nice chill song and drugs..
Song wasn't incredible in terms of his singing or lyrically, to be honest I just really like the psychedelic instrumental and the music video, but not the song as a whole.
I liked the vocals. Started from Hollywooooood. How can you say it's not fire? lol
