Pathetic Dad comment after Burnleys 2nd goal. The celebration was for a young lad who has been injured all season, gets some minutes on the park, scores a cracking free kick to win the match. The celebration was for Twine but you'd know that if you understood the togetherness of the Burnley team, the majority who are young lads and have only come together this season. Nice job, but would be improved by by using a lot less camera panning. As for the celebrations at the end - nothing to do with beating 'The Albion' and all to do with Scott Twine. He's had a rough trot this season and the lads (and the team management) were showing their support for him.

The best visiting supporters at Turf Moor so far this season and having been to the Hawthorns many times not a surprise. Knowledgeable and respectful and WBA were great on the night. Playoffs no problem from what I've seen.
The albion played well. I celebrated like a madman because these wins when we're not at our best are better than winning 5.0! Enjoyed the video lads. Good luck for the rest of the season and make sure you beat the horse-fiddlers and keep them out of the play-offs!

I would have taken a point before KO, frankly. Burnley steamrollered us second half and the goals was inevitable. And a second was equally always on the cards. Always difficult to take when you concede so late but that’s football. Awful journey up on the M6 but a good contingent of support despite Sky waving the cheque book again. We have some challenging games coming up. In fairness, the play-offs after such a calamitous start to the season is all we can hope for I think. Dike looked isolated and short of pace. I was very impressed with Anass Zaroury. Will Kompany be tempted away? I can see Spurs sniffing round him. Burnley champions in waiting.

lads, always liked Baggies, very similar clubs but not quite sure how you can say WBA were the better side - we absolutely battered you in the second half, you had a good 20 mins in the first then did nothing but defend (very well!). You'll breeze into the play though as you have a really good manager, you are miles (and I mean miles) better than Boro, Blackburn are shit and wont finish anywhere near the play offs. Our bench celebrated because we know that that was our toughest home game of the season, both games against you have given us our toughest test - 100% right up there as one of the best teams in the league imho, Good luck for the rest of the season although I think your dad needs to lay off the cider as it's screwing his vision !! lol

Andrew Smith you talk utter bollocks. Albion we're LUCKY it was only 2-1. Barnes smashed the bar and Pieters almost got an own goal. On top of that, for 65 mins of the game Albion we're pinned back to 30 yards inside their own half. Burnley put in 18.... 18!! Crosses in a 20 minute spell, your lot were reduced to parking all your players in the box, tome wasting and prayers which in the end went unanswered.

Burnley fan here, Westbrom has been our toughest home game, played some good football and really tested us. My only concern for Westbrom you sat far to deep secound half if you'd of gone for it could of been a win to yous. Fair play decent fans made the noise, we also celebrated like that as they are such a close group of lads who want the best for each of them especially Scott twine out most of season with injury suffering with his mental health so when he scored the winner it was the best thing for him and us. We have a very good and deep squad, and have many game changers on the bench, we've come from behind to win having trailed at HT 4 times this season, once even 2 down! @David H our number 19 is Anass Zaroury, he's a Belgian/Moroccan, however he's chosen to represent Morocco over Belgium, snd played at the World Cup. He is a very, very good player, I think he will go to the top. As for Kompany, he seems to get us as a club, town and fan base and says all the right things regards "long term project" and wants to build something for many years, however money talks as do fickle fans, I just hope if we do go up and find ourselves struggling the fans and club don't fire. Also if he does well, I hope he doesn't jump at the first chance. It seem inevitable he will one day manage Man City, hopefully that's in 3 or 4 years

Really enjoyed your blog. I take my 15 year old son on the games . Obviously your dad was miffed and watched the game though Albion tinted spectacles. You battered us at your place. But besides the goal from a corner which should have been disallowed for a shove. I don't remember you having a single chance. we had two penalty shouts not given, hit the bar, disallowed goal the scoreline could have been much worse for you. The reason you didnt get anything was you shut up shop after 6 minutes defending a 1-0 lead, you should have chased the 2nd goal. Great blog lads! Predict a 2-2 draw last night with maybe either side knicking it at the end. To be fair, I would say the first half was yours. the early goal for you and how well you dealt with the threat first, thought you controlled it really well in the low block But, like every game since the WC restart, teams can do it for 50-55 mins against us but can’t keep up the work rate and the consistent pressure. Understand the tactics you implemented, but your best chance was to get the crosses in. Sitting deeper, kept you on the back foot and ultimately why you lost. Problem doing this is you risk Zaroury, tella and benson getting in behind. Your not the first or the last team this season to be caught in a 50/50 choice between the 2 options, and it’s only really sheff utd who made it work. You guys have been on a great run and I’m sure you’ll be okay off bound this season

To be fair WBA dominated the first half, but Burnley really turned it on in the last 25 mins. I think WBA are one of the best sides I’ve seen all year. I can seen them firmly in the playoffs.

Always a hard game against the Baggies, tough battle that - both sets of players at the end smiles, hugs and handshakes showed the really good spirit and respect between the two teams. In my opinion the Baggies are the best team we have played this season on the Turf (for the first half at least) and irrespective of the score, the best (including 5-2 defeat at Sheffield) away from home. Please replace Blackburn in the play-offs, thank you!

Let's put some perspective on the "Celebrating like we won the FA cup" comment! We were losing to a top team and bang in form and we turned it around in the last 15 minutes! We also had one of our players riddled with injury all season and making only his third (I think) substitute cameo appearances and score a worldy free kick at the death! Everyone was buzzing for him. Besides, why wouldn't we celebrate? Would you not? It would have been the same reaction if we had done the same against Accy Stanley! To wish a team to go back down is a little petty to be honest.. yeah there was a dive by Tella and honestly he doesn't need to do that, but every club has a player like that. We could have had a penalty on Brownhill, was Barnes offside when he scored? It swings and roundabouts. Enjoyed the video nonetheless but maybe try to think realistically and logically before letting the emotional loss take over !

Burnley fan in peace. It was a hard won game, for sure. Albion certainly didn't play badly, like some of the teams this season. Could have easily been a draw, which I think would have been a fair result.

To be honest, the second goal wasn't a free kick. The Burnley player stubbed the turf with his foot, lost his balance, and went down like a sack of potatoes. Would have been impossible for the ref to have seen, so naturally he blew his whistle and gave a free.

I would have taken a point before KO, frankly. Burnley steamrollered us second half and the goals was inevitable. And a second was equally always on the cards. Always difficult to take when you concede so late but that’s football. Awful journey up on the M6 but a good contingent of support despite Sky waving the cheque book again. We have some challenging games coming up. In fairness, the play-offs after such a calamitous start to the season is all we can hope for I think. Dike looked isolated and short of pace. I was very impressed with Anass Zaroury. Will Kompany be tempted away? I can see Spurs sniffing round him. Burnley champions in waiting.

lads, always liked Baggies, very similar clubs but not quite sure how you can say WBA were the better side - we absolutely battered you in the second half, you had a good 20 mins in the first then did nothing but defend (very well!). You'll breeze into the play though as you have a really good manager, you are miles (and I mean miles) better than Boro, Blackburn are shit and wont finish anywhere near the play offs. Our bench celebrated because we know that that was our toughest home game of the season, both games against you have given us our toughest test - 100% right up there as one of the best teams in the league imho, Good luck for the rest of the season although I think your dad needs to lay off the cider as it's screwing his vision !! lol

Andrew Smith you talk utter bollocks. Albion we're LUCKY it was only 2-1. Barnes smashed the bar and Pieters almost got an own goal. On top of that, for 65 mins of the game Albion we're pinned back to 30 yards inside their own half. Burnley put in 18.... 18!! Crosses in a 20 minute spell, your lot were reduced to parking all your players in the box, tome wasting and prayers which in the end went unanswered.

Burnley fan here, Westbrom has been our toughest home game, played some good football and really tested us. My only concern for Westbrom you sat far to deep secound half if you'd of gone for it could of been a win to yous. Fair play decent fans made the noise, we also celebrated like that as they are such a close group of lads who want the best for each of them especially Scott twine out most of season with injury suffering with his mental health so when he scored the winner it was the best thing for him and us.

We have a very good and deep squad, and have many game changers on the bench, we've come from behind to win having trailed at HT 4 times this season, once even 2 down!
I've every confidence in you going up this season, like i said, imo you're the 2nd best team in the league, sadly you left yourselves too much to do for automatics with the slow start, however I hope and think you'll go up in the play offs.

@David H our number 19 is Anass Zaroury, he's a Belgian/Moroccan, however he's chosen to represent Morocco over Belgium, snd played at the World Cup. He is a very, very good player, I think he will go to the top.
As for Kompany, he seems to get us as a club, town and fan base and says all the right things regards "long term project" and wants to build something for many years, however money talks as do fickle fans, I just hope if we do go up and find ourselves struggling the fans and club don't fire.
Also if he does well, I hope he doesn't jump at the first chance.
It seem inevitable he will one day manage Man City, hopefully that's in 3 or 4 years

Really enjoyed your blog. I take my 15 year old son on the games . Obviously your dad was miffed and watched the game though Albion tinted spectacles. You battered us at your place. But besides the goal from a corner which should have been disallowed for a shove. I don't remember you having a single chance. we had two penalty shouts not given, hit the bar, disallowed goal the scoreline could have been much worse for you. The reason you didnt get anything was you shut up shop after 6 minutes defending a 1-0 lead, you should have chased the 2nd goal. Predict a 2-2 draw last night with maybe either side knicking it at the end.
To be fair, I would say the first half was yours. the early goal for you and how well you dealt with the threat first, thought you controlled it really well in the low block
But, like every game since the WC restart, teams can do it for 50-55 mins against us but can’t keep up the work rate and the consistent pressure.
Understand the tactics you implemented, but your best chance was to get the crosses in. Sitting deeper, kept you on the back foot and ultimately why you lost.
Problem doing this is you risk Zaroury, tella and benson getting in behind.
Your not the first or the last team this season to be caught in a 50/50 choice between the 2 options, and it’s only really sheff utd who made it work.
You guys have been on a great run and I’m sure you’ll be okay off bound this season

Always a hard game against the Baggies, tough battle that - both sets of players at the end smiles, hugs and handshakes showed the really good spirit and respect between the two teams. In my opinion the Baggies are the best team we have played this season on the Turf (for the first half at least) and irrespective of the score, the best (including 5-2 defeat at Sheffield) away from home. Please replace Blackburn in the play-offs, thank you!

Let's put some perspective on the "Celebrating like we won the FA cup" comment! We were losing to a top team and bang in form and we turned it around in the last 15 minutes! We also had one of our players riddled with injury all season and making only his third (I think) substitute cameo appearances and score a worldy free kick at the death! Everyone was buzzing for him. Besides, why wouldn't we celebrate? Would you not? It would have been the same reaction if we had done the same against Accy Stanley! To wish a team to go back down is a little petty to be honest.. yeah there was a dive by Tella and honestly he doesn't need to do that, but every club has a player like that. We could have had a penalty on Brownhill, was Barnes offside when he scored? It swings and roundabouts. Enjoyed the video nonetheless but maybe try to think realistically and logically before letting the emotional loss take over !

To be honest, the second goal wasn't a free kick. The Burnley player stubbed the turf with his foot, lost his balance, and went down like a sack of potatoes. Would have been impossible for the ref to have seen, so naturally he blew his whistle and gave a free.
