Thank you so much for the kind words and support-it means a lot! I’ve had an absolute blast sharing my RC adventures with everyone this year, and I can’t wait to keep it rolling in 2025. Merry Christmas with a C to you and yours, and here’s to another amazing year of RC fun and community!
Cheers, Pete! Merry Christmas to you and your family as well! 🎄🎅 Yeah, this thing is an absolute beast-it’s already got me thinking about all the upgrades and testing I can’t wait to do. Speed runs are going to be epic with this one. Thanks for the kind words, mate, and best wishes to you too! Let’s make 2025 an awesome year for RC adventures! 😁👍 Stay awesome buddy Chris :)
Box art scheme with pink + dark purple pearl colour combo with candy orange logos to pop out etc.. chrome/black accents would look insane and suit the body style😉👍
Can't wait! Of course I am , I’m a man of my word 💯! Very much looking forward to this I’m not intending on breaking records just want to see how far I’m able to push myself and my knowledge . Stay awesome and look forward to meeting in person Chris 💪🚀🤙👊🤘😎🫡🤩
Hey there Owen my friend , Thanks so much for the best wishes , my apologies for the late reply , Hope you have had a wonderful christmas and thanks for sticking with the channel buddy sure does mean alot . Stay awesome Chris :)
Great to see the right approach to ROSSA. 👏👏👏 Colour scheme - make sure you can tell which way it is going at distance. Sorry to say Hobao VTE2 .2 is A LOT better out of the box, and in stock form will go faster reliably. They require very few hop ups too. So, if you have the choice might well be worth looking into the VTE2.2 before you go any further with the project. Also, open wheel are very difficult to get to go fast. Lastly, Arrma will probably need hop ups that cost a lot more than a Hobao... 8S, XLX2 and TP motor way to go. Hobbywings always cut. Basher and speed run will be very different set ups, basically two different cars. ie foam tyres for speed runs, Hoons for bashing. So, Arrma for bashing and Hobao for speed running.
In short, 8S, XLX2 and TP motor (4070 or 4080) for speed running. Hobbywing ESC and motor brilliant for bashing because they protect themselves so well. Arrma is a open wheel (speed) basher and very good at it. To make into a speed run car can cost a lot. Many have spent £1200 plus on hop ups / mods.... Hobao VTE 2.2 is about the best (stock) speed run GT bodyshell (Ford FC 100) currently. Only needs about £100 of mods really. At about £500 all in (rolling chassis and bodyshell), it is by far the cheapest too. Yes you can add a carbon chassis but that doubles the price. Hobao spares prices are relatively very cheap too.
Thanks for the detailed advice and insight-really appreciate it! You’ve raised some great points, especially about the Hobao VTE2.2 and the setup differences for bashing vs. speed running. I’ll definitely look into the VTE2.2; sounds like it could be a solid contender. Your tips on color schemes and setups are invaluable-especially for keeping track of the car at a distance. I’ll keep those in mind as I move forward. Regarding the XLX2 and TP motor combo, it’s great to hear those specifics-definitely something to consider as I refine the build. Thanks again for sharing your experience! Stay awesome buddy Chris :)
@@ChriswithaCrc I do like the design they did. Maybe do the TLR but instead of purple go with a blue? Or maybe do a bright green and blue? With black and white?
Hey there Johnny buddy , Yeah the issue i have is that i need it to be bright dude to make sure i can see it far away . Hope your good my friend . Chris :)
I eventually would like a street basher also and this is at the top of my list. Just got an XRT though so I gotta get that thing to my liking and get out and use all the stuff I got the last few months with all the sales
Ha ha what the living room is for don’t you know lol 😂! Thanks buddy hope that your well And hope you guys have a awesome Christmas Stay awesome 🤩 Chris 💪🤘🤙😎🚀🤩🫡👊
Class bud loving how your moving on to a wider variety of different cars 👌 enjoy your speedy journey 😉 got to say I would like to see you own a k8 or outcast 8s in future. With you not being a heavy basher but moderate with ripping around and enjoying the characteristics I feel you will love the arrma 8s range. They are probably my favourite range of rc still durable but not up to the task of the bashing I do like the xmaxx can take
Thanks, bud! I really appreciate that. I’ve been enjoying branching out and trying different RCs-it’s keeping the hobby fresh and exciting! You’re spot on about the Arrma 8S range; they’re definitely on my radar. The K8 or Outcast 8S sounds like an incredible next step for my style of driving-something durable yet fun to rip around with without being overly extreme. I’m glad to hear they’re your favorite range, especially since they seem to strike a great balance between fun and durability. I might just have to take the plunge soon! Stay awesome Kurt bud Chris :)
Great video, I started with a v2 a year ago. Managed to push it to 152 at Rossa last year. Drop me a message if you have any questions, I may have some bits you could use as well 👍
Thanks so much! That’s incredible-152 at ROSSA is seriously impressive. I’d absolutely appreciate any advice or tips you could share. If you wouldn’t mind, could you drop me a message on Facebook? It’d be great to chat and see what bits you might have that could help out. Thanks again for reaching out! Stay awesome buddy Chris :)
Should have gone for the infraction 6s, easily modified for speed running, and back to speed bashing. Go a Max 6 G2 Combo, 1650kv 4990 motor. With the stock gearing will hit over 90mph, the gearing i have on mine on 8s will zip past 100mph without breaking sweat.
Hey Shelz , wow didnt expect to see you here , well its either this or the HOBAO Exteme VTE2 1/7 ON ROAD HB-VTE2 , but i think considering he loves the Arrma Trucks this one would be a good idea and less to purchase in the long run . Hope your well and catch up with you guys soon were terry brings his xmaxx for a bash ! Stay awesome Chris :)
@ChriswithaCrc thank you for the advice he's thinking the habao sst? And building it himself. Love the videos watch them with tell. Keep up the good work will see you guys rossa x
Hi i just subscribe to channel. I have a arrma infection lol love it i have done lots if upgrades to it running 22 pinion have changed the fans to 20.000 rpm im so tempted to get the dame rc car for speed runs as well. I love spektrum so was gunna to start with get the same motor 2050 kv but get the 8s spektrum ecu firma 160 amp for now. I use wheelspin as well great company.
Welcome to the channel, and thanks for subscribing! 😊 It sounds like you've got a serious case of Arrma fever-and I can totally relate! Your upgrades sound awesome, especially that 22T pinion and 20,000 RPM fans-bet it’s an absolute beast. The idea of grabbing the same RC for speed runs sounds like a fantastic plan. Pairing the 2050kv motor with the Spektrum Firma 160A ESC is a solid combo; it’ll give you plenty of power and reliability for pushing those high speeds. Wheelspin is definitely a top-notch company-always great to hear you’re using them too. Keep me updated on how your build goes, and feel free to share some pics or vids-I’d love to see it in action! 🚗💨 Stay awesome Chris :)
