Love the wrenching shots!!!! awesome stuff joe. Man this diff case is beautiful haha. At least we get to see what the best parts look and perform like :D
If the driveshaft boots are not tearing apart, use them. The dirt/mud etc will wear the cups much faster than the boot covered rig, even with no grease in them. Wore out hella lot of HPI Baja 5B cups and bones until good boots were available even running PhatDad Bones and Cups.
Those bulkheads i been eyeing for some time now both are goin front & rear on mine. I do recommend the DDM springs they help out sag tremendously. Yeah losi fkd up with the diff case design still even on the 2.0
@@ExocagedRC Hey Boss I know this vid is over 2yrs old. I just got one used and blow the rear gears due to the flex. It's costly was going to do the rear only Vitavon diff housing. I plan to keep it stock and not upping the pinion. Am I cool doing the rear only? Did you need change the front diff housing to Vitavon...I plan to stay stock no power upgrades? Last, today you still recommend the stock diff or upgrade the rear to the Vitavon v2 diff they offer now? Much thx to those answers.
@@ExocagedRC I have Lucas lithium grease. Do you pack the whole thing as much as you can or do you only fill to a certain point? I see there’s no gasket to retain the grease
it is when you consider it is replacing 2 parts the atop diff and bulkheads end up being 160 bucks and this replaces both. Then add in all the facts that this is 7075 vs 6061 and way more rigid since its all 1 machined piece. also a bigger pinon bearing which usually melts because stock size is way undersized. and it has a cover to allow way easier servicing.
Awesome car...awesome upgrade...great video! Can't wait to see the next iteration of Danchee! Wish I had that in my back yard!
Wow Joe that thing is a beast! That Vitavon bulk head looks awesome on that car! 👌

For gasses I’m sure they are fine but they aren’t meant for the instant power of brushless

the dbxl is just massive !
Looking at the diff from the front before you took everything off looked like something from Star Wars fighter
Huge diff
what grease did you use inside the new housing, not the actual rear diff itself?
Just some cheap lithium based stuff from amazon

How do you get the timing on the engine, please? 0.0 3.75 7.5 11.5 15, and what degree you have to use for acceleration thanks a lot for the answer
This is electric. Not sure if I can help you if you are referring to gas.
Whoa! Nice!
is the diffs the same on the dbxl (gas) compared to the dbxle 2.0 ?
I have the atop aluminum case front and rear. That vitavon case is really nice but, not $180 nice.

Exo would you recommend a DBXLE 2.0 over other 1/6th scale trucks? If not what others would you recommend instead?
What are thoese tires you have on there.
Mad max Giant grip rc tires
How much are these dif cases? My plastic ones have been flexing and skipping gears on the xlx2 system
What kind of grease do you put in
Anything slick. My favorite is udder butter by Cowrc
What tires & wheels do you have?
Giant Grips I got from Dave’s Discount RC
as big as that vehicle is i would have left the boots on that axle shafts to help prevent crap getting into diff
Those stock rubber boots tear up really easy and it's $25 to get new ones.
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
It's not sealed on each side to that's A big no no for me and those booth are to block dirt!
1 would think if u pay upwards of $1500.00 for a "toy", it would include a sensored system. 🤯😳
But, thats sLosi for ya.
Well, seems like vitavon owns you and your channel. Unsubbed.
