Probably what hurts more is that Jane genuinely has tried to help Kay the most So the fact Kay wants ALL OF THEM DEAD, feels just like a massive betrayal. ESPECIALLY when you remember what Jane said back in Season 2 of she being afraid of vanishing from existence when she and Larry went to look for Harry at the Well.
I have never had a show literally bring me to tears like this. Vic talking to his subconscious hit a little to home for me and I just bursted into tears. Doom patrol has done this to me more than once now. This show is my favorite right now HANDS DOWN.
I think I now understand why in the comics Dr Harrison went rogue and wanted to become the only personality left within Kay’s body. It’s just so heartbreaking listening to the one person who brought you into this world tell you that you are no longer needed and that they want you to die…. :(
It’s such a damn conflict. Yes the goal is for Kay to get better. But for her to just wipe all of these personalities out like they were nothing after all these years is painful. Yet she’s the owner of this body and mind. There just isn’t any right and wrong in ANY of this and it just…it really damn hurts.

Kay cannot heal while the other personalities are around. The purpose of their existence has always been to allow Kay to heal. If she feels ready to try, they should accept and encourage her.
except for the part where she would rather them just suddenly POP outta existence. She threw these personalities at the world so long that they lived more of a life than she was ever willing to do and now that one of them has tried their damnedest to help her get to an area of confidence, she just lumps them all together to hate.

Kay is telling Jane Jane is holding her back and for Kay to grow up Kay needs to let go of Jane and the others---like letting go of imaginary friends. to Kay Jane and the others served their purpose, now they are just reminders of her trauma and she doesn't think she can heal with them around. even Jane. Am I the only one who wanted the Soldier from Vic's subconscious to respond "You were following your mom's orders" when Vic said "what do you think I was doing before the Eternal Flagellation?" As in, "He still hasn't tried to follow something HE WANTS". It would make his comment of "make your own choices, even if they are wrong ones" feel more relevant
You know even though Kay is the original of the body and still technically controls it, it still kind of hurts to know she hates Jane and wants her to die because I know Jane just really wanted to help and tbh losing any of the personalities is such a big and emotional thing for me and for Kay to kinda just undermine Jane or any of them even though their there to protect her is just really sad and heart breaking

Kay wants to ‘get better,’ and that _means_ Jane will be pointless, which effectively ‘kills’ her reason for being. Being devil’s advocate, Kay wants to recover. One method of doing that, is fully removing the ability to relapse. She can’t choose to have Jane on standby, or else she accepts that she has someone to fall back on if she fails to recover, which makes failing easier. So she’s going cold turkey. That _said_ , considering that Jane wasn’t actually unmade by that alone, Kay might be pulling a sneaky to make that _look_ like what she’s doing, but she can’t let Jane know. So it has to be ‘real’, and has to hurt.
@@alecLogan this is absolutely what it is. Kay has built the underground for her own purposes and through her own purpose it is being destroyed little by little. Jane has lived for the body for so long now that she identifies with it the most and is primary. She takes up the most space in all of their personalities, probably by design. Kay always wanted to be what those personalities were for her, and Jane is that. She is Kay at her best and her most healed. Thats why Jane will be the only personality left in the end, Kay said it herself when she was in control that Jane will put all the pieces of the puzzle together. That puzzle allegory obviously means the personalities but it almost means that Jane was meant to be the one to bring them all back together, something that Kay could have never done cause they were all made by her and for her.
this episode really made me cry because if i was there and face to face with my memory, my fantasy, buried memory, my deepest secret, i'm sure i will feel rejection like jane, cliff, and vic or accept it like larry
Whoever designed General Tony did an incredible job. How his hair is plastic and his face somewhat as well. He really does look like a toy come to life.
Keep in mind please that this is not really Kay, this is Kay's dream where she is healed and whole again. When she is talking to Jane she isnt really talking TO Jane, shes talking to all her personalities. She made them to help her so that she can heal, but in the end she didnt know that she was only a small piece to the puzzle that is Jane. Kay is not the main persona anymore and hasnt been since she was a child. The main persona is Jane and she takes the biggest chunk of the personality, its only right that she is the one in control, shes lived in the body for like 50 years. What Kay is trying to convey to Jane is that every personality will die in the end to make Jane whole again, not Kay. Kay has already healed, Jane needs to heal beyond the NEED for Kay to keep existing in her mind to take care of. Every personality is one piece that makes up Crazy JANE, not Kay Challis.
Honestly as host, I really want to achieve final fusion but no one else in the system will understandably let me do that because it feels like they are sacrificing themselves to me. Some of them have even tried and come back and said it felt like burning up into the sun. They've come back kind of corrupted sometimes too so we stopped trying for now. I guess that means they tried to integrate too early. I really feel Jane in that scene. It's been causing me so much pain for a long time. That goal feels so out of reach. I've been instead trying to accept maybe I'm just not meant to fit the mold of the rest of the world's boxy narrative just like being LGBT was for me. 💔😞
That sounds so awful. You deserve better. But I think you made the right choice stopping for now. Healing takes time and rushing might even make it worse. It's the opposite for me. I just want to be myself and live so my host doesn't have to. But sometimes I got so scared I could barely move the body. To the point my host has to come out of retirement to do the living for me. I feel like I've failed my system as a protector. Anyway I wish you best of luck on your healing journey 🍀
