Hello.I just took up the guitar playing again I played when I was in my 20's I am now 59 . An have some heart failure problem 's I saw saxen in the 80's I have always loved there songs. Thanks for the lesson. 🎸🗜.
Hi Ross, great to hear from you. Sorry to hear about your health. You look after yourself. Do check out my other Saxon songs. The tracks from the new are great fun to play. Thanks for the comments.
Saxon classic albums were full of unbelievable easy to play songs, if compared to maiden .. A lot of early classics were made by just 2 or 3 riffs.. But they were wonderful songs.. Anyway thanks as always Geoff for another great lesson and can't wait to see the next one!! Early saxon or early maiden as you prefer!!! Cheers and keep on rocking
very very cool.. the world needs more people like you helping keep older music alive... nothing wrong with new music, but it hurts my heart to think a lot will be forgotten.
Absolute stunning band.early saxon was all about simple memorable riffs. They kept the rhythm parts very simple.with stunning tasteful guitar solo s.its a beautiful formula. They tuned down half a stop.which in my opinion give their extra power.
@@GuitarMates I've refitted a Wolfgang with a Gibraltar quickchange fixed bridge - one of the best mods:) A few years back, I used to have a guitar for every tuning. In 2016 I realized, that only a few hands full are enough and only kept 2 FR guitars: a 15 years young RG 420 and a bait younger S5470. Most others with fixed or 2-pc. bridges. I totally started to love TOMs with fine-tuning stop-tail piece. For Saxon I play my beloved ~'80 Ibanez Artist, for Maiden my selfmade Strat, for Priest an old Samick Les Paul. Stay healthy! Greetings from Vienna
Another great lesson! Really digging these new short lessons! Stayed up way 2 late playing Denim and Leather last night. I like your idea of doing a backtracking. And also I second the other gent's suggestion to do Suzie Hold On. And Heavy Metal Thunder too. And thanks for doing these in std tuning.
Great track luv the lyrics in this song. Evan though the riff looks easy it's a classic n thanku for the lesson. Saxons newer material looks a lot harder to learn. Would u plz consider these 3 tracks from the older period of saxon 1. Freeway mad 2. Motorcycle man 3. Suzie hold on I've got denim and leather off and I'm halfway through state of grace n I should pick strong arm of pretty quick thanks to yeself
@@GuitarMates Dallas 1pm Is def a saxon classic. Evan though I cant play guitar solos to save me life Dallas has a cool solo in it. The rytham sections are cool as well building up from the beginning. Cheers

They do but its such a hassle with a Floyd Rose system
