He is an actor and actors tend to pick up languages very quickly, since its their full time job to copy and study tone, voice and manners. My wife taught Italian to some actors in the past. They picked up the language about 10 times faster than her normal students. I think there is a lot we can learn from acting techniques.
So frustrating - my Italian, which, frankly, sucked when I took it in college 30 years ago, is just good enough for me to catch phrases but not whole sentences! Still, I could listen to those gorgeous syllables roll of his tongue all day...
Hehe, sounds funny... :) How is Colin's Italian? He seems very fluent, and of course as an actor he can imitate the accent, their intonations, really well, I think.
Grammatically it’s almost perfect. He doesn’t use a lot of difficult verbs or tenses, but it’s almost all the time correct. The accent it’s obviously “odd”, I mean, a native speaker can hear that he’s from an anglophone country, but he’s really good!

Frankly, the man could read the phone book, in ANY language and I'd listen! Such a beautiful man and a beautiful voice.....yummy, in any language!
