- BULGARIAN LANGUAGE = this video gives you a comprehensive overview of this Southern Slavic language known as one of the few in its group to lack the complex declension (case) system present in languages like Polish, Russian, Czech and Ukranian. However, Bulgarian also features an unusually complex verbal system intertwining aspect and tense, making it the most complex verbal system in the Slavic branch and perhaps in all of modern Europe - given that it also has the typical Slavic aspectual pairing in verbs (perfective and imperfective verbs).
Bulgarian is also unusual among Slaviuc languages for possessing a definite article, which like Romanian and Albanian, is suffixed to nouns and adjectives (and even numbers)
An overview of the history of Bulgarian is given, including how old Bullgarian came to be known as Old Church Slavonic and was the literary liturgical language of many Eastern Orthodox Churches, especially contributing to the vocabulary of modern Russian.

Bulgarian is the easiest to learn at a very basic level for English, French or Spanish speaking people. The grammar is much, much easier to understand than the case system in other Slavic languages.
Ironically Bulgarian still has cases even if people here insist they are not. Yes, the vocative case is there which is the least used case in all Slavic languages but unlike Russian, Belarusian, Slovak, Lower Sorbian, Slovenian, Bulgarian kept the vocative case entirely, while like Russian has neo-vocative which is partually restored.. The only restriction is nowadays we don't use it with female names, because it's considered rude and impolite if we use it with female names.
And I know some people hate using in pronouns the accusative leftover cases like кого, някого, никого... While dative one is used still but mostly it replaces на + accusative case. Also many adverbs are leftover from instrumental case but yes I get why they are no longer cases, but saying Bulgarian has 0 cases is just wrong. It has just simplified with definite articles.
However in terms of writing Macedonian is easier because it's more phonetic due the influence of Serbian phonetics. Bulgarian like Russian kept some morphological writing which makes it harder even for natives to write properly, while Macedonian is almost written as how it's spelled (maybe bit less than Serbian but close).
However the articles are more simplified in Bulgarian (except for masculine form) than Macedonian with the archaic for close and far objects which is absent in Standard Bulgarian but present still in some dialects like Pomak.
That is simply not true. If anything Bulgarian would be the hardest for English, French and Spanish people for understanding. The article system in this language is a purely morphological and synthetic principle which differs quite heftily from articles used in English, French and Spanish.
The article system is much harder than the noun cases of other Slavic Languages rest assured. Also, Bulgarian does have a case system that is more scattered in comparison to your average Slavic Language, articles have cases too.
So, Bulgarian grammar for your information with its article morphemes and noun cases is much much more difficult to understand for English, French and Spanish speakers than the case systems of other Slavic Languages. Cases will be an initial obstacle but they are easily overcome.
The mixed case/article system of Bulgarian however is never overcome by English, French, Spanish and Slavic speakers.
The language is inaccessible to any language family Romance, Slavic, English and Germanic included.
Also, to add to that it is also not true that Bulgarian is easier to learn/grasp at a very basic level either. Remember that Bulgarian is synthetic too.
If you mess up articles, cases and verb endings you will start speaking unintelligible gibberish. This is not the case with other Slavic Languages where if you mess up the case you can still be understood.
However, it has the most complicated verbal system in Europe...

Yes . The imperfect tense is very rarely used in Serbian language these days. For majority of people it sounds old-fashioned
I think it's rhe verbs that are the total deal-breaker. Our verbs have so many layers of meaning, exmple: Изпонарисувах цялата стена. - I drew all over the wall. But the English equivalent is insufficient to fully convey the meaning.
It is not known whether the proto-Bulgarians were a Turkic people (this has not been proven), we do not want this to be mentioned, because someone thinks the Turkic peoples are the Ottoman Turks, this is a big mistake,

The Macedonian language is simply Western Bulgarian. It is high time to put an end to these communist creations. After 1945, the communists in Yugoslavia created three language commissions to invent a new macedonian language. The idiots remove a few letters that they think are "too Bulgarian" - like "Я", "Ъ", "Щ". Thus, Bulgarians and Macedonians say "кръв- blood", but "Ъ" is not written in Macedonian, because the letter is forbidden :))). Before the communists, Macedonia was written as "МакедониЯ", after the communists it was already "МакедониJa" - the letter "Я" is forbidden as Bulgarian and the Latin letter "J" is written in its place. Letters are easily changed, but how to create a new grammar. They don't have time and just copy Bulgarian grammars, literally copy sentences and examples. The author of the first novel in the new Macedonian language is the writer Venko Markovski, who reveals the whole conspiracy to divide the Bulgarians and himself denies his own creation.
The situation is particularly funny because Bulgaria refuses to recognize this language. Most Macedonians today write in Latin in their daily lives, and most still do not know this Macedonian language. The tragedy is complete - last year North Macedonia awarded 15 scholarships for Macedonian language students and there was not a single candidate :))). It is especially fun when you talk to the people on the border between Bulgaria and Macedonia - most of them are relatives separated after the wars. These people speak the same dialect - they themselves define the language as Bulgarian, but for Skopje it is an ancient Macedonian language :)))). Thus, today Bulgarians and Macedonians literally speak the same language and regional dialects - for some it is Macedonian, for others it is Bulgarian, and the language is one. Skopje makes a special effort to insert foreign words to make this speech different from Bulgarian - the comedy is complete.
