      Works great!
      I'm having issues though with special characters such as ä, ö or é.
      My source is encoded as ASCII and from what I understand the output will be UTF-8 using your tutorial.
      Is there a way to get an outpot encoded as ASCII?

    Excellent explanation, thank you. I have used Power Automate to export details of the currently selected Power BI item(s) to Microsoft Lists. Subsequently importing the list back into Power BI during the Scheduled Refresh. This means that I can present a list of data to the users, and allow them to mark items as 'Checked off' and refresh the view when the next load of items comes into Power BI. It does require the items to have a unique identifier to ensure things don't get confused, but this is a relatively simple field to create on each table - which is linked back to the imported List. If there is a need to add an explanation, these can be prepopulated in each Power Automate Flow, or more complicated explanations can be entered in Lists by editing the appropriate record (which is a little more work, but completes the user experience).

    Hola Ruth !
    ¿Crees que es posible? Creo que sería un video interesante.

    This was a great feature to have added, so often you still get the "I need to be able to have and export of that", filtered, sliced etc... Analyse in Excel is great, but when they want to have the raw data, you used to have to set up a Paginated Report and use parameters to replicate your filters etc... Considering that needs Premium that's not always an option. Using Power Automate is way simpler (and cheaper)!

    Hello Ruth. Great Video!!! - So when you export data to excel you need to have an existing file with a table inside. My idea is: 1 from the cloud flow trigger the power automate desktop to create and and save new file 2. new step to build the table from cloud flow and then finally 3 send and save data to the created file and table. To do that you need to install power automate and gateway. This is just only an idea and I don't know if this will work, but technically seems to be possible.

    • @CurbalEN
      @CurbalEN  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You will need two flows then, as I think the first step needs to be the power bi one.

    Hi Ruth, yesterday one of my colleagues from the financial department asked me for an excel export button in a certain report. :-) With your video I was able to solve this problem in about an hour. Thank you very much! Only one problem remains: adding a row to a table does exactly what it says: it appends rows. The old lines have to be removed first. Do you have a tip or a video?

    • @CurbalEN
      @CurbalEN  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I mention that in the video. Maybe there is a delete rows action in flow you can exexute before adding them?

    • @ralfwitte4707
      @ralfwitte4707 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CurbalEN Yes, thanks again. You have to identify a row by a key value and then you have to delete it before inserting the new row. It works for me. Maybe in other cases if the rows have other key values than in the last run you'll have to provide a workaroud with a dummy column used as a key to detele the complete data before inserting new.

    Can we setup the schedule the export in customized calendar ? As we know, sometime users would like to see the report in some specific day such as BD1, BD2, and avoid the holiday.
    So it would be great if the export could avoid holiday or happen with a customized calendar.
