In case you downloaded zip file and you can not select it from application(it can be shown in grey color and not selectable) then once it is downloaded on your phone - modify the name of this downloaded file to anything else(you can delete any letter - it just needs to be modified). And then go again to the application and select the file - it should be selectable now. Once again - do not extract file - download it as a single zip file.

I will show you how you can increase the speed limit on your Xiaomi PRO2 electric scooter. Buckle up and get ready to upgrade your speed limit in just 3 minutes!
So, by default, this scooter has a maximum speed limit of 25 km/h. But who wants to stick to the defaults, right? We're going to unleash the true potential of this beast. To get started, head over to the Google Play Store and grab an app called DownG.
Now, before we proceed, a word of caution: this upgrade comes with a bit of risk. There's always a chance you might "brick" your scooter, turning it into a fancy paperweight. But hey, life is all
Alright, let's get down to business. First things first, find the model name of your scooter-it's conveniently located on the side of the deck, just like in the video. Open up the DownG app on your phone and connect it to your scooter. Prove you're serious about this upgrade by pressing the power button on your scooter to confirm the connection.
Next up, it's time to select the right zip file for the job. There are two options: one to upgrade the speed and the other to reset everything back to default in case things go bad. You can find those files in the description below. Choose the upgrade file and hit the flashy 'Flash' button. Trust me, it's like launching a rocket, only cooler!
Now, here's the part where you need to pay attention. Stay connected to your scooter throughout the entire process. No wandering off or taking calls from your grandma. If the connection drops, your scooter might get a bit grumpy and end up damaged. And no one wants a grumpy scooter, right?
While the upgrade is in progress, resist the urge to fiddle with your phone or turn off your scooter. It's a delicate dance between technology and magic, and we don't want to mess it up. Sit back, relax, and watch as I speed up the video to make the process feel like a breeze. Voila! In just 2 minutes, you've got yourself a souped-up scooter ready to hit the road!
Now that we've upgraded the firmware, let's explore some cool features in the 'Tools' option. You can enable or disable Cruise control. And if you're wondering about the strength of the braking regeneration, I suggest going for the weakest setting. You have the option here to turn on or off back lights while the scooter is on.
You can even personalize your scooter's name.
Now, let's power off the scooter after the patch and turn it back on. We need to ensure that the changes take effect. And there it is, folks! The display proudly shows a maximum speed of 33 km/h when idling. But on the road, without any pesky inclines, this beauty can reach a sweet spot of 30 to 31 km/h.
Please keep in mind, that this patch works like a charm for the Xiaomi PRO2 scooter only. Don't try it on any other models, or you might end up in the market for a new motherboard. And trust me, that's not exactly pocket-friendly. eBay or some other e-shop might come to your rescue in such a dire situation. Or, maybe you can salvage a working motherboard from another second-hand scooter. Just a thought.

Why did you only increased it to 35 km/h and not 40 km/h so you can get about 35-38km/h on road? Is it bcz it might overheat by increasing it to 40km/h? Would you recommend increasing the max speed to 40km/h or not?

@@JTm1042 Because they all have downgrade-locked BLE versions which don't allow flashing custom firmware. If you're on BLE 1.3.5), you're out of luck. There are alternative options (ST-link and clone boards), but it's not as easy to do that as in video when having BLE 1.3.3.

I saw a previous video where you changed the speed using turbo mode on a Xiaomi Essential. Is it possible to have a program where both the handbrake and throttle need to be activated to activate turbo mode, and when they're not activated, it remains at the default maximum speed of 20 km/h and not 25 km/h
Can you check this patch for turbo mode (activated only when pressing simultaniously breaks and power button on turning on the scooter only)? In case it will work I will share it in the description as well:

I have absolutly no idea what to do with that link you send ;o) If you'd like to make TH-cam videos, I would recommend creating a longer video where you slow down the process of downloading a file, finding it the file, and so on ;o) Six of us have been watching your video and still dont understand it ;o) and my first project is to find an Android phone since everyone around me has an iPhone. Then we need to figure out the name of the app that connects to the scooter ;o) As you can probably see, you are much further ahead in your thoughts and progress than several of your viewers. I did this first but then got a 10 inch wheel on my xiaomi pro 2 and changed did the flash again but made sure to weight I had changed the wheel with a different flasher and now does 40 on flat and about 45 rolling down a kinda steap hill

When you buy the scooter new - the cruise control is not enabled. But it is there in the patch file by default. If you don't want it on your scooter just remove it from the application settings. Or as another option you can use 'm365 tools' app on android

I've connected my scooter to the app and downloaded the file and it doesn't let me pick the file to flash. It's just greyed out. Any clue why that is?
Read the description. I specified it there. Your file does not have correct permissions. You need to change the name of the file through a program like file manager. Then the file will become selectable

Try renaming the file and reselecting with application. The permissions of the file are to be changed. Sometimes it happens .

@@vincentcyprus after searching some info, this is not made for the BLE158 version. Everything below works. You can downgrade with ST-link or change the computer to an older version.

Most probably you've updated to the latest version from Xiaomi application. Usually it works on pro2

@@KelR_Official There is nothing you can do. Xiaomi is using state of the art encryption. You can buy an older display/controller and then it should work.

As I suspected it was too good to be true, I followed the very simple looking instructions. Once zip file was downloaded from the description I tried to open and it wasn’t selecting said file (as if there was nothing in the file). This method obviously worked for this guys android phone. Doesn’t work and I advise people not to risk downloading these dodgy files
Edit: even after renaming the zip file and flashed it didn’t increase speed. My user interface looked nothing like his in the video. AVOID and don’t risk
I specified the issue already in the description. If the file is not selectable you need to change the name of the file keeping the same zip extension.
@@vincentcyprus the issue is you’re not replying to the people who have done everything correctly and there is no result. I have renamed said zip file
@@adamrowes one thing I can think off - is that new models are not being able to be patched. I patched two scooters pro2 and it worked on both of them. Maybe on new versions it is blocking the patch. But some people are just not able to select zip file. This issue is known - it is about file permissions. Another thing is I see some people have the same speed even after the patch is being applied - what i understood - these are the cases for new fresh scooters which were released/upgraded recently
Doing this will cause your motor to over heat and scooter will not last as long as it would at the settings it’s at .
If It is hot outside and person is riding up a hill and especially if the weight over 100kg then the motor can overheat. Correct. But standard 25 km/h is sometimes boring. And if used properly - it should be fine. I did not have any issues yet.

Разве что попробовать поменять на другую версию. Попробуй скачать приложение XiaFlasher. И через него даугрейднуть ble (если получится)

For me it’s it won’t let me click the file.
I stated it in the description. Modify the file name from the phone. And it will become selectable from the application. The permissions are set to read only when you download the file. Again - modify the name of the downloaded file with any file manager (example "file Manager') and then this file will become selectable. Let me know if you still have issue. Thanks.
