    Good video. I wish there had been vids like yours when I started living on the streets. I’m glad those 2-3 years are behind me, but I actually have some fond memories from that time. If I could add my 2 cents - find one of those collapsable buckets they sell in the camping section at some stores and on Amazon. Id go into a public restroom where was able to discreetly fill one of those and set it on the back of toilet inside a bathroom stall - that way, you can clean yourself up without attracting any unwanted attention. I was able to find labor gigs and warehouse jobs, but I’d get so hot and sweaty doing that type of work that I had to be diligent about maintaining hygiene.

    Not so much a homeless tip but more of a convenience tip; use those magnetic cords & plugs for your electronic devices. It not only prolongs the life of the plugin port of your devices but it also makes all your devices universal. You will no longer need a USB-C, a USB-A, or a micro USB cord. Just one cord will be able to charge all your devices.

      Sure, I get that a lot. I have major depressive disorder and thought I sound good in my videos, my days are actually much worse as to be crippling. Besides it doesn't help if I'm willing and my body didn't get the memo. Cheers!

    Good to know on the lemon trick

    Good tips. I put irish spring soap in my backpack, and bins to keep clothing smelling fresh, and bitting bugs hate the scent. I also use clove, lavender, lemon and other oils between showers. Anything wool I find for the winter, blankets, hats, socks, coats, whatever I find at thrift stores. My most important ways to stay healthy in winter, is echinacea, golden seal, and neem. Research these herbals. Also vitiman D, zinc, and of course vitiman C. I never get colds or the flu due to taking these, never needed their pin cushions.

    Great tips. I did one you mentioned about antimicrobial wipes. I bought a big jumbo 3 pack and also bought a bottle of rubbing alcohol the dived into the 3 packs to make them. Cleared up all the weird crap going on. That's the way I will use them from here on.
    I got my second rabies shot today, I get the next on middle of next week. It really sucks, it's a 40 mile round trip on my bike. Half of it being muddy forest road since it rained hard.
    On washing clothes, I put in the baking soda for pets carpet powder. After washing I put a 1/2 cup to 5 gallon bucket of water, and after an hour soak, I hang them to dry.
    This only gets exponentially harder as we get older.
    What do you generally do for Thanksgiving and Christmas?
    Thanks, glad your OK🤗

      Youre right about to that, I feel this was so much easier just 5 years ago. no plans for the holidays and don't expect any. How bout you? Have you decided if you're going to io a TH-cam channel?

    • @luckylarry5112
      @luckylarry5112 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @hoboroad Yes on the TH-cam channel, you have inspired me!
      My wife and daughter got killed 3 years ago at Thanksgiving, so it's not so great. Christmas, I'm gonna volunteer at a homeless kitchen somewhere. We have heavy snow and rain. Forcast for the PCNW, so I may get snowed in the mountains.
      I would like to go down into AZ for the winter, just don't know if I got it into me to travel. I'm set up really well here.
      If I don't go, I'm getting a mini starlink.
      Right now I getting another -30 down bag for the winter. When I bought my old one it was $300. Now they are $450, beans and weenies this month.
      Hope you get feeling better.
      Have a great week!

    How do you manage physical health issues while homeless? For example I suffer from migraines, facial pain, coeliac disease, brain fog, autism, depression, anxiety.

    • @hoboroad
      @hoboroad  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The best I can. There is nothing I can really do besides take vitamins or watch what I eat. For my depression I tend to do less throughout the day. For anxiety, its the same since it crippled me emotionally at times. Audiobooks help and chocolate.

      Good luck getting help, if your anatomy includes a penis. The "helping" professions are staffed almost exclusively by rabid feminazi zealots who subscribe to a toxic dogma based on manhate. There are no mental health services of any kind FOR MEN in feminazi Kanada.

      I was. Now I'm just waiting for a verification pin in the mail, I'm using a homeless service to get that. They say 3 weeks so just waiting.
