Good review!!! The P2 really impressed me that it supports free secondary analysis of temperature data on thermal images. And I can connect it directly to my smartphone for accurate plug-and-play temperature measurement. Very convenient.
Excellent kit - I got the P2. I've been more than happy with it. Much better than the old crappy flir I had before (and without teh dreaded dead battery lock-out problem!)
Is the upscaled image allowing you to notice something you don't notice otherwise? I've never been a fan of upscaling so I am not sure if there is any utility to it unless you can trust the interpolation/extrapolation. I should download the app to use with my thermal camera to see if the upscaling is hardware or software.
I haven't done nearly enough comparisons to know if the upscaling would allow me to find something I wouldn't find otherwise. But my guess would be a solid no. According to the Amazon listing, the IR resolution is increased by "Utilizing advanced algorithms like Razor X and X³". I'm pretty sure this means software upscaling.

I kinda would like to use this camera as a second cam on a gimbal on my drone, the Price is quite nice for that!
Will it work if you were to use a 3:39 charging/data cable without removing your case? Or perhaps using a USB extension cable?
