      right I could see that. I am not opposed to repainting these honestly. Right now I am just grabbing the ones that catch my eye. Thanks for the feedback!

      @@sto1vall uhm....do you have a web cam spying on me? hahah ;) I am going to start painting at night for fun and to wind down from the day. I have no real hobbies right now...so painting (which obviously also helps my art) is a fun thing to get into. I am checking out a few different recast resin kits I might warm up on...just to knock a few turds out first. :)

    A truly amazing figure
    Funny you had the Koto next to it. That’s the only big chap at this scale I consider more accurately sculpted.
    Enjoy them brother

    Yo Rich. There's a takayuki takeya designed big chap figure that came out earlier this year. And Neca is re releasing their big chap figures in both 1/12 and 1/4 scales later in the year. Great time to be a fan if you're into the '79 design specifically with it being the 40th anniversary and all.

    You may also want to checkout the Warhammer 40k Tyranids which are pretty much a rip off of Giger's aliens imo. Still cool figures and cool art.

      hahaha. awesome I will check them out....what paint do you use to painting your figures?

    • @PsychosisPC05
      @PsychosisPC05 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Vallejo Model Color, Reaper Master Series, and Golden Fluid Acrylics. You want something that flows really good, without a lot of body. Most acrylics that you can run through an airbrush will also work. I'll use cheap acrylic artist brushes to lay down the base colors on 28-35 mm scale minis, using a 2 or 3, then a 1 or 0. For high detail and freehand design detail work on the miniatures, I'll actually switch up to a Raphael 8404 round Kolinsky Sable, like what I would ink with. For a little bit of detail though, pretty much any Sable will work. I'll even use Microns over the paint. Although acrylics just destroy brushes over time. Then just shoot some clear over it to protect the more fragile brushed on acrylics, for most of my wargames minis just Krylon Acrylic Matte, for commission pieces - Testor's Dull-Cote.
