The lock pick isn’t useless. I don’t really want to start an argument in the replies but lockpicks can be useful in a select few scenarios. Although not very useful, it still has its moments
I always buy a lockpicker when I'm doing solo runs, it's especially helpful on rend because of how long the fire exit run is. The amount of times I get stuck behind a locked door at fire exit which basically ruins the day. The meta for solo is to get in get out as fast as you possibly can. Swing by fire exit and grab whatever is easy. Then you haul everything back and leave. Getting stuck behind a locked door means I have to run to main losing lots of time. And main generally has less loot readily available. You could also bring a key or two to the fire exit but that isn't always reliable. Usually bringing a key back to the ship isn't worth the extra inv space that could go to a piece of scrap. So if your going for a high quota solo run you aren't gonna make it far if your wasting slots to bring keys back to the ship. Lockpicker is ideal here as it's reusable and cheap. So if you don't want to waste the inventory space you can just leave it and buy a new one. Especially after quota 4-5 you have tons of extra money to spare. Quite honestly the game needs more items like the lockpicker that provide a little bit of utility but only end up being viable later in runs. It makes long quota runs less repetitive which is a need for this game.
i went into the update spoiler free and felt like a genius when i typed art into the console after finding the spray paint. went there with friends, we made a joke about the robots coming to life and were traumatized when they actually did. i dont know how good this map is going to be in solo runs, from what ive seen the robots wake up quite early and they can be very difficult to play around.

Is it just me or do the Old Birds sound kinda like crying babies
Is it just me, or do the old birds start emitting the sound of a baby screaming after a certain point? I swear, that's all I heard instead of electric motor sounds...
EDIT: I am _certain_ that the old birds make baby crying sounds, it sounds way too much like crying babies to not be that.
There are isolated sound effect videos, you are not wrong, it is very much babies crying and considering the whole them being used for war thing, they use both physical and mental warfare.

fun fact about the baboon hawks: they attack you based on how long you look at them, not anything else. just don't look at them and you should be fine, it's got nothing to do with the amount of loot on you
