Countries that use scooters as vehicles, not just for fun, will benefi this great idea! Swappable battery with multiple stations to pick up charged batteries? Game changer for big cities. I can only wish the US would adopt this, instead of one-person driving a huge SUV, lifted truck, or car. Traffic is getting worse in well-populated areas and two-wheel vehicles are the way to go since better public transportation is not being considered.
The battery stations are everywhere in Taipei, the swap takes about 1 min...it's so efficient, but yes too many junkie crackhead ev haters in the US...I'm not sure it would work without armed security 😐
Wow this is unreal. Please come to the uk gogoro 🙏 amazing scoots they would definitely sell well here. Seeing as all the Japanese brands can't be arsed to make anything half decent yet. Where are the bikes honda keep promising year after year.
Fascinating! But, I feel an overpowering need to play role of safety officer. What on earth possessed you to ride without proper gear? Sure, the helmet was a smart choice, but where were the gloves, the jacket? You were in a t-shirt … Crazy! And you go off-roading in loose dirt, with comment of minimal dirt experience, and then a high-speed launch? You're a wild one! And speaking of that high-speed launch, with all that engine torque, how did the front tire decide not to take a vacation in the stratosphere?
I would love to see scooters like these in the US. Millions of people use them elsewhere in the world for primary transportation. They are perfect for urban commuting and are very inexpensive. OLA has a high end model for less than $2500! If you Google electric scooter, the search results only show those stand up scooters that kids ride around on. Sad.
I'm living in Taipei now and looking to purchase either the Pulse or Supersport. The mid-range Pulse starts around $4000 USD. Swappable batteries are a great idea but I've heard it's not easy to find a fully charged battery at the stations, let alone two, and both of these models are dual-battery.
The biggest market for this is, yes you guess it right - India. They have been testing products here for a few years now, but haven't launched any scooter yet. I hope they bring the Pulse soon and price it at 2000 USD or less. I will be the first to buy.
I saw this and got excited, but then discovered it is not available for purchase in the US. Why would you review a product that is unobtainable? Wasted my time watching this
I love how the loaner helmet is like, 3 sizes to big and would probably do more harm than good if he wrecked it. But.... this thing seems pretty wicked. If these were available in the US for a reasonable price, I could see them selling **very** well.
This is too pricey when launched here in the Ph. Also, the area where there are swapping stations are very limited. Would have been a great everyday scooter if not for the price.
I'm an American living in Taiwan. I own a motorcycle but rented a gogoro for the first time last weekend while visiting a different city. I have to admit it was fun besides the cramped feeling of how close and high the handlebar is. Too bad this model looks old and ugly. If it was going for retro it missed the ball hard. I wish they could design something more aesthetically pleasing and more similar to an E motorcycle. It's the only thing keeping me from getting one.
Worthless video. Price? Range? Top speed? What speed can it maintain going up a hill? Don't know anyone who rides their scooter in the dirt. Battery swapping won't work if you have to go to Taiwan to swap the battery.

And yamaha is sleeping...crazy.
Yamaha do have the e01, released in south east Asia but still waiting for release date to Europe
