    I totally agree with all of your talking points! I have the same one, and love it. Mitchell also makes a mini-single cutaway LP that is also super comfortable!

    I just bought one of these from a guy on craigslist. I didn't realize how small it was going to be, and I love it. I'm very short, and this guitar is so much easier to handle than my standard size electric. I can't reach the lowest frets if I'm standing with the full size but I can with this one. I had to fix the knobs which were really lose, so it provided me an opportunity to learn how to do that for the first time. I feel like this guitar is really sensitive and is improving my playing. I can hear when I'm pressing the frets too hard because it presses it out of tune. And the contrast of the dark body with the strings means I can see the strings better for my picking hand. My other guitar has a white pickup guard and it's so hard to see. I play a lot in drop C# and it seems like the low E string isn't as deep as on my other guitar. That's the only thing that's not ideal.

    Hi. I'm one of those people who falls into a hobby full force. Might be slightly autistic. Started guitar pretty late but i picked up a lot of gear kinda fast. Immediately began comparing guitars and studying the ones i acquired. Even taking meticulous notes on string heights, pickup heights, and pickup outputs and such. The mm100 is a really nice guitar! I was surprised how clean the overall construction is. In my opinion, the mm100 is a slightly better build than the mini squire, which costs more. On par with the ibinez gio in that the mm100 is more finished(satin neck vs little to no finish), while the gio has more complex electronics(coil splitter and 5 way switch). To me, it feels like, the builders of the mm100 made a smart decision to prioritize function and quality control with their limited budget. I'm also guessing that they might have a better choice of lumber because of the small size. Not sure how the shop actually works but logically, there would be some really nice normal sized neck or fret pieces except for some flaw on one end or the other that could be trimmed off. The neck i got has more growth line patterns than most. And while the fretboard was super dry at first it still looked like expensive milk chocolate. After i oiled it, it picked up a shine like dark amber. The pickups are loud and clear. The action is low. The frets are a little sharp. They did an ok job getting the edges filed down identically but they didn't polish them. Did i mention i might be on the spectrum...?

    I’ve bought the same guitar for my daughter. Before I gave it to her I had to round off the sides of the fretboard and apply some bigger inlay stickers.

    We got a red guitar under different branding as your daughters pink guitar for our grandson who wanted to play with me and I had a hell of time trying to tune it. Then I realized it didn’t have a truss rod and the neck was flexing too much to stay in tune. I came across the Mitchell MM100 and we just ordered one for him to replace the POS red one. It’s currently $140, but based on my experience with my Mitchell MS450, we decided to get it for him. I’ve been extremely happy with my Mitchell MS450, the sound is great, the locking tuners are really nice for the price of the guitar and the build and finish are really good for a $400 guitar. I find myself playing the Mitchell more than my Ibanez RG421, Fender Strat or Schecter C-1 Exotic as I like it that much. The neck is thin and easy to play, the thinner body is nice too and the action is great. So, I figured there was a good chance that this MM100 would be a great bang for the buck guitar for our grandson based on my Mitchell experience so far. I’m glad to see someone else impressed with Mitchell guitars, especially for the price. Thanks for your feedback on the MM100, it was useful.

      Yeah that pink one was a huge mistake. The Mitchell is still going strong. And it sounds great. Definitely a fantastic budget guitar. Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching!

    Thx to Fulton St Beats, I bought this guitar from Musicians Friend for $89 during their super sale. For $89, it's a WINNER. Humbuckers rock much better than my son's mini-Strat and the guitar had minimal issues upon arrival. I had to file the nut a tiny bit, but everything else was just fine (e.g. no bad fret edges).

    I’m 6ft and wanting to learn guitar, I picked this up when looking at guitar center and liked the feel, not sure if it’s the size or the gauge strings and then I found out it’s not full size, what’s your opinion on it? I feel like it would be easier to learn on because I have to hold it up longer and at a weird angle so I can see what strings I’m picking but people are saying go full size regardless

    • @FultonStreetBeats
      @FultonStreetBeats  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think smaller size guitars can be much easier to play. Especially if you have difficulty in stretching your fingers wide enough for scales. This Mitchell is a great sounding and playing guitar. I play it all the time. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.

    I just got one yesterday cuz I have fat hands. I haven’t played in 9 years and this guitar makes playing super fun for me. I love it. I’m running through an irig2 with the dime bag Darrel pack and it’s AMAZING.

    Saw one of these at guitar center and it caught my eye right away (they wanted $140 for it), it's a cute little guitar that looks sharp. I'll probably grab one on ebay.

    Do you think this would work for a 10yr old boy who is a little bigger than most average boys his age? I’m curious how long a child would stay in a 3/4 size guitar? Thanks
    Craig

    • @FultonStreetBeats
      @FultonStreetBeats  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Most definitely. A 3/4 scale could be used into adulthood.

    Mitchell is not a bad brand at all. My gf is small stature and she got this exact same guitar. Nice finish and fun to play. Needed very little adjustment. I played it on a song during a set, and it held in the mix very well.

    Will a angled connection cable work on this guitar or is the regular straight better

    • @FultonStreetBeats
      @FultonStreetBeats  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Straight is better because of the angled output. It's like an Ibanez Jem output design.

    Would this be a good size for a 10 year old that is 4' 3" tall? Or should i go smaller? Is this one considered a 1/2 scale or 3/4?

    I'm interested in small guitars that are easy to smuggle into my job so I can practice while I work. I saw this one at guitar center and had to go for it. The quality is at least as good as a squire affinity for a less than a third of the price. In comparison to other inexpensive models, The super basic SGs have unfinished necks and rough sanded, stained wood bodies for double the cost as the Mitchell mini. The pickups are surprisingly nice sounding. Like really good. I'm genuinely curious what their story is. Is there some kind of secret genius at the Chinese factory or is it dumb blind luck that set the bobbin winder to do what it does? The jack is kinda crap though. Mine needed tightening and tweaking. the frets could use some sanding along the edges

      It's weird at first. But then suddenly it's just easy. Much less stretching of the fingers. A quick reprogram of the mind. Lol

      Short scale guitars can work for anyone. Definitely Much easier to reach notes on the fretboard with a short scale which really helps when starting out.
