You are bang on the money about the dramaticness (is that a word?) with the weather, blue skies and dry roads are nicer conditions to ride in, but the moody clouds wisping through the mountains and valleys makes it so much more adventurous! 🙂

I totally agree with you that it is early in the year but if all riding is done at the hotter months then my personal feeling is that there is a lot of different landscapes that offer a lot outside of blue sky sunny days. Also that if folks prepare their bikes properly with anti corrosive liquid and wear the right kit then riding all year round or at least for more months of the year is possible and thrilling.
