Can someone please tell me what the name of this song is and where I might find it online? I would love to dance to this song, but can't ever find just the song and without any background noise. I would most appreciate if someone would :)
Have never seen it danced with the setting left and right. It is usual to set right and left , turn single to the right. Also, the star and rights and left through should be skipped.
In Playford's time it was assumed that the dancers knew which way to set. Normally couples in first corner positions start the moves. Setting and turning single was usually to the right unless instructed otherwise. I love the dance and enjoy the changes in steps and rhythm.
They should still teaching these dances in schools.
