    Charlie if you read comments, i started watching ur drive thru videos which are dope and i know you trying to expand doing the interview thing and you mean well, just know so did Zack TV and we lost him. Stay safe bro, dont ever try to overreach for an interview. I saw both you and Zach go in peoples houses for interviews, thats risky, all it takes is one fool having a bad day.

      R. B. that's exactly what I say. I left a comment on his video before this one, when he was in Chicago Englewood interviewing so-called ex gang members. He does a lot of videos interviewing shady characters which could be very risky. Especially going in their homes, that's VERY risky, especially if he doesn't know them personally. It's better to be safe, then sorry. NO channel, or subbie views, is worth losing your life or getting hurt over!!!

    • @hygrave2892
      @hygrave2892 5 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @@SweetDreamz0223 I don't think he's scared of losing his life. He's old school, back then you never thought about tomorrow, for today was always a fight. It shows you have a wonderful caring character to want him to be safe, but I think he's got this. Him doing this shows a reality most people will never see. Hope you come to the east end of Newport News Virginia someday Charlie, there's a turf war now, no one is safe at the moment.

      Tobias Orion *rFitz* - I can appreciate that sentiment. May they find the wisdom to realize it takes a bigger man to stay low-key, stay out of jail, educate yourself, and perhaps even start a family than it does to claim a gang/block, illegally carry, speak like a half-wit. It takes cajones to forgive, and love one's enemies. Thank you for your comment.

    • @forjusticetruth943
      @forjusticetruth943 5 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      God heal the system first, thats the crumbled foundation "these people" are standing and depending on that is failing them every single day. They might have more of an incentive to heal if they were given a reason to, if they knew it was reliable and knew it wouldnt be ripped out of their grasp or from under their feet come tomorrow. They didn't choose this, it chose them, and until the money hungry freaks that sustain this corrupted system wake up and realize that theyre not the only ones who exist and matter, ^^^ this wont be changing or healing anytime soon. Thats like asking a woman in an abusive relationship to heal when she hasnt yet left and is subjected to the abuse every minute of every day, or asking an alcoholic to get clean when he is surrounded by only alcoholics. You can't heal when youre standing on a foundation that is crumbling beneath your feet. The foundation needs to first be destroyed and then rebuilt to work for everyone involved..... then the healing will come. Healing comes with safety and a sense of stability and structure. Chaos and unrest festers in the throes of survival mode. I speak from personal experience.

    • @JaePeezy
      @JaePeezy 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      ForJustice &Truth - I wish I had hope that these money-hungry freaks, who perpetuate and profit from this broken system would experience a sudden, paradigm-shattering epiphany, and start putting others before themselves, but my logical mind thinks this system/these people can only be removed forcibly. I absolutely agree with you that the folks living in these types of areas did not choose these sufferings and struggles. Instead, they were chosen. This is a systematic attack perpetuated by Lyor Cohen, greedy bureaucrats, Gordon Parks, unreasonably stiff crack cocaine litigation, weaponized legislation disguised as "democratic" "welfare" programs, and many other contributing factors/people. I do have hope that education on these particular subjects/people mentioned in the previous sentence, as well as education, in general, can and will be the single strongest determining factor as to if and how quickly this situation will turn itself around. Thank you for clarifying that the foundation, system, and infrastructure must be healed before the people will heal.

Some were Bought for Redevelopment, some which were Never Redeveloped, Etc, & then the 68 Unrest After M.L.K. was Killed, the Westside was Hard Hit & Never Rebuilt! that's One of the Reasons you have Vacant Areas of Chicago on the South & Westside.

    This is bad but the worst 'hoods here in Milwaukee are just as rough. My friends that live in Chicago always tell me that if I'm on the South side of the Chi that I should just avoid going west of Sox Park. From what I've observed, that seems to be advisable. What's ironic is that Bridgeport on the South side is really becoming gentrified and the real estate prices are skyrocketing. Unless I'm mistaken, this area shown isn't very far from there.

    There is still beauty to be found here, in the changing season and the architecture, and even the crumbling facade. It's when your daily activities are impeded upon by confrontations and challenges to your presence on the street, and the occasional violence through mistaken identity or stray bullets, will it make for a difficult living here. But those very elements that create a sense of danger is what makes a drive through video like this interesting, as opposed to, say, a drive through West Los Angeles. CB313, thanks for the clip.

    To all the white people afraid of getting raped/beaten/shot, etc. if you go within ten feet of a poor urban area: I remember one of the first times I visited my cousin in Chicago. We planned to spend a lot of time downtown. She had an appt one morning so we just decided on a time I'd meet her. I was on the train and didn't catch the stop I was supposed to get off of. Long story short I ended up in Garfield park and realized "Hey, I missed my stop." I was 16 and like I said, one of my first visits. I got off and took the opposing line which brought me to my stop. A 16 yr old white girl, only white person on that train and when I got off and nothing happened. Not a thing. Not that I was worried. I knew just leave people be and you'll be fine. I do remember this one older drunk guy hitting on a couple younger women and everyone sorta laughing about it. That was all. Pretty boring ride, actually lol.
