I don’t think this is a millenial boomer issue. I think it’s a one can cook one can’t situation. That was just waaayyy too much cheese poured over noodles. It’s congealed and it’s too many cheeses. I like the seasonings and I like the boiling in a flavored liquid like milk or chicken broth to add but there is a happy medium of new and classics that is great!
Girl just hold the L it was nasty: a Mac should be good hot or cold.you put in entirely too much cheese and not enough liquid. Good Mac starts with a bechamel or at the very least a cheese sauce and then cheese on top. Whatever you made was some dry ass liquid cheese pasta . Cheese cannot hydrate noodles you didn’t even use anything to keep moisture. It’s just cheese and noodles
That was more cheese than at a wedding between a French woman and a Wisconsin man. Maybe if she stopped at 3 it would have worked, but it was like fully covering 2 pieces of bread with grape, raspberry, and strawberry jelly then additionally topping it with peanut, almond, and macadamia butter and calling it a PB&J sandwich. It might have been good for a dip with some tortilla chips. Grandma's joint was just classic simplicity and in many cases, that will always prevail.
