Really enjoyed this short film. The story was simple and easy to follow. I really enjoyed the actors performance in the film. It was nicely made and really enjoyed the short
The acting is par EXCELLENCE!!! And the set design with its attention to scenery detail that is very retro, ala Buck Rogers with modern equipment, is on the level of cinematic artistry to the Nth Degree to say nothing of the writing and directing. Everyone involved should be proud of the end result that is a Sci- Fi MASTERPIECE!!! 😀👍👍👍👍👍
Ah yes, the old wheelnut problem, but in a spacecraft engine. Thing is, while a car needs four wheels to drive, a spacecraft will still move with even just one engine, so no idea why he was stopped. Which neatly brings me to the next problem. If your engines fail in space, you don't stop. You will just keep on going at the same speed you were going forever. I could go on, but these were the main problems with the scenario. Now as for the acting, I'm not sure what he's chewing here 07:15 , but he's making the exact same face I make when my sister cooks, and my mom forces me to act like it's delicious, to spare her feelings. It's torture, and sometimes I think she's just deliberately trying to poison me. Not sure why he's so upset, but I do know airplane food can be very bad, so I'll forgive him for that.
Same here! I thought that, after successful engine repair journey, he came back and discovered he had left the cockpit keys inside. Anyway: very much enjoyed this one.
This guy is so ill prepared. This isn't a drive across town. First he has plenty of warning of the proximity of a dangerous object and takes ZERO evasive action. Second, he knows so little about his ship. The ship that he is totally dependant on for survival. Really? Then last of all, he runs out of oxygen and nearly passes out before he does anything about it. He came really close to earning a well deserved Darwin Award.
In most if not all cases, once a rocket reaches its cruising speed, the engines will shut off, and the rocket will go forward at that cruising speed practically indefinitely because spade is a vacuum for practical purposes. So videos that show exhuast coming out of the back of the rocking are nonsence except when the rocket is leaving earth (or a similar planet or asteroid, or when it need to speed up or maneuver.
Someone has - entirely of their own volition - given us a free film to watch, should we choose to. They’ve written the script, planned it and executed it, before deciding to give it away for free. They’ve dedicated their time to finding a crew, an actor and the equipment required to shoot it, before gifting it to whomsoever should stumble across it on this platform. For free at that. And you decide to critique the most inane and petty point that I have ever read. Such anal retention is singularly pitiful, my friend. However, please let us know when your film is ready to be uploaded, Spielberg, and we’ll get the popcorn ready. I’m quite sure such devastating plot holes will have been squared away, given your obvious perfectionism.
🟦...SOooooo let me get this straight, according to YOUR rules; ANY-Body who notices ANY-thing that YOU DIDN'T (or didn't consider interesting enough to take note of) is being "Petty", "Inane" & "Anal Retentive". .... And of course, according to YOUR 'Rules', NO-ONE is allowed to criticize ANY-thing unless THEY can do it BETTER,.. which in itself is a WAY more ABSURD manner of 'Reasoning' than that entertained by the person you've been criticizing. .... Ahm jus' gonna hope that your 'Psychological Disorder' NEVER becomes PREVALENT In The REAL World. ....Smh. .... Thanx fer the LAUGH!
A very well crafted little piece Mr. Faulkner, I might add, containing all the necessary explanatory material the audience needed to make it truly complete as a story. Who said you can't turn a "flyboy" into an "avionics man"? LOL My only question is, what was a lone fighter doing so far from the fleet? Excellent job.
Like a constipated mathmatician, he eventually worked it out with a pen. How he ever got on a space programme with his aptitude for general ineptitude beggars belief and probably baffles science.
Very good. Loved i was waiting for something terrible to happen to him outside the cockpit. Only complaint the atmosphere didnt feel like he was in space.
..., couldn't send a "MAYDAY" (or report to HQ!) via communications system? Wasted too much time, effort & energy getting in & out of space suit a couple times! That's not survival protocol! He should have had prior emergency, (plan "B"), training per such emergency scenarios!
Great atmosphere and minimalist set. Only complaint was that the background was too static: a slowly rotating starfield / binary star would have provided the same sense of isolation and a touch more realism. Aside from that, very polished short.
He deserved to be stranded in space for his unprofessional inaction to avoid a collision. Any professional pilot would have turned immediately. I don't like dark scenes when not warranted. I thumbed it up because it was a good plot otherwise.
Is it me or is this video in the beginning all screwy? Wasn't sure if that's the desired affect, or if my internet is screwing with the picture or something,.
...really??!! He f**ked up 20% of oxygen before started to think how to fix the situation? I doubt he is a pilot, rather teenager, that stole dad's ship for riding! Filmed well, actor's play is great, but the story is a shit...
He didn’t give up, although the first scene in the video made it look as if he was dead floating in space, when the story catches up to this scene, it is 18 hours later and he us reveling in his conquest against the hopeless situation he found himself in only a few minutes earlier. It was a Tarzan against the elements moment, as you will. A sense that he had won and nothing could stop him now. The fact that had to take paper and pen to figure out how many components it would take from each engine to make 4 in the damaged one did not give him a shred of humility. 🙄
I enjoyed this little movie but the actor needs to improve his facial expressions to better communicate the plot, and the volume of his spoken lines was too soft. I realize when you're alone and only talking to yourself, there's no need to speak up, but its a movie so the audience wants to hear his words. Compared to his voice volume, the music would be considered too loud. Sorry to be critical but these two points are important in any film and should be corrected before the next offering from this director and/or actor.
I can't see the logic or reasoning for using a Battlestar Galactica Colonial Viper for the ship. With all the different Sci-Fi model kits out in the wild, "Kit-Bashing" should have been used to make the ship. Just a suggestion. Good plot but, it seems like plagiarism using the BSG ship. You have the smarts to write a good movie. Next time, take it the step further and put 100% of you and your imagination in it.
YAY! Another pile of implausible cliches start to finish. I promise myself to stop hoping any of these sorts of videos will have any brains or even novelty.

Muy bien hecha,la nave es una "viper"de GALACTICA 🚀
When all else fails, read the instructions. Very good job to all involved.

Not as fast with one engine but moves besides he believed it was repairable upon inspection. And a car takes 5 wheels to drive. So far
Now I understand why you need a whole crew in space.
Very well done. More please worth the watch 🎉
This was a great movie! I thought he had locked himself out for a minute there. Love the ending.
Same here! I thought that, after successful engine repair journey, he came back and discovered he had left the cockpit keys inside. Anyway: very much enjoyed this one.
A SciFi short with a happy ending?? That's amazing. Thank you, so well done. Great acting too.
Man almost dies to space debris, litters and makes more space debris
I figured it out. This vid won all these awards for having the most scyfy cliches and anachronistic tech! Still, The Outer Limits laughs at this.
Looks like a Viper.

@@bacilluscereus1299 gotta love autocorrect
Nice on so many levels.
That was incredibly jarring when he suddenly starts talking for seemingly no reason
Thoughts aloud
More PLEASE❤
For a second I thought he had locked himself out of the ship after fixing the engines. :)
OMG me too!
Why is he in a Viper

Loved it!! Loved the cockpit set u built. Another amazing short.
Nice adventure, the soundtracks were spot on.
It’s looks like a battlestar galactica viper
The old Colonial Viper from the original TV series.
Mark II from the reimagined series, to be precise.
I wondered if anyone would point that out.
Another criticism 4k tv's show wooden sets.
Ps his hair should be floating. No artificial gravity.
This shows airplane instruments. There's no horizon, no up or down, there's not even speed, there's just velocity relative other objects.

Nicely done. Appeared he locked himself out after fixing the engine.
Why so far from help in such a small, unprotected ship? 😮
A gripping tale. So well done! 🤗👍

Repairable is protection

Viper? Galactica?
This is DUST material
Great Job!
Agf! It's like my Ol' Lady's alarm clock. Wake up from dream being ducked out into vacuum of Space
Like a constipated mathmatician, he eventually worked it out with a pen.

Show! All of us, we need a very relevant reference that strengthens us!
That was cool. Great job to u and your team
So well done for a one person cast, nice job!
Very good. Loved i was waiting for something terrible to happen to him outside the cockpit. Only complaint the atmosphere didnt feel like he was in space.
hope you make many more...is fun....thanx
Wouldn't mind copy of the soundtrack for the earth vehicle :)
I thought in space there was no up or down so what's the altimeter for?
My only gripe about these short film vids, why do the make the music so loud?
I like it. Nice job by everyone involved. Australian? Seems like a lot of good stuff coming out of there recently.
There always is
if you don't have the budge to do this ... please don't.
those beeps are annoying.

never whine
Um, that spin could not have caused by that impact and release.

Battle star Galactica space ship? Copy right? Was he the lost screw up from battle star Galactica?
...really??!! He f**ked up 20% of oxygen before started to think how to fix the situation? I doubt he is a pilot, rather teenager, that stole dad's ship for riding! Filmed well, actor's play is great, but the story is a shit...
Ok, around 13:50 it seems he gives up ready to die in space, next thing he is back in the cockpit and on his way, I don't understand.
Moral support/shrug/personal idk

Wasted too much film and time on his emotional state.
Needs a hair cut!!!
Und so ein langweiliger Rotz ist preisgekrönt ?!
Slow moving. Lots of fake mechanics and pseudo engineering which mean nothing to the viewer. Speaking parts hard to hear. Not worth the time to watch.
YAY! Another pile of implausible cliches start to finish.
