An unexpected result after cleaning a 1940’s wedding dress.

This was a first- I take on some of these vintage cleaning projects to experiment and learn, and I'm not really sure if it would have been a different outcome if I used different products or if it would have been the same regardless due to what I think was " acid burn" from out gassing that can be caused by wood products/ cardboard/ tissue paper. It brightened up beautifully and it is presentable now for at least the purpose of display or a photo shoot, etc.. so at least it wasn't a total loss. I still think she's lovely and I'm hoping someone out there loves her as she is. #vintagerestoration #vintageweddingdresses #40s

That really is stunning. You could add lining or a silk slip to hide the spots. Beautiful ❤
