Oh wow, please continue to be careful for a few more weeks Brennan! Trust me, as someone who has complicated vision issues, always be careful of your eyes and never take it for granted. I'm glad your eye looks to be healing well. I'm sure that was scary for the whole family. Congrats to Ryan on SGA and to Katie for wrapping up her year of Circus

As someone who has dealt with eye problems and had have 2 surgeries, I am glad you guys took his eye seriously and Katie is right about not going in crowds after an eye injury or surgery. I hope Brennan is feeling better and is back to normal.
So scary for Brennan and for y’all! I hope he continues to have a smooth recovery. A friend in high school had a similar injury to him, with hers being from a field hockey stick to the eye. She went through the same daily rest and monitoring and made a full recovery without any complications.
Such a relief everyone’s ok. 🙏 Hopefully Brennan’s luck will improve as this was his third injury of 2023! Congratulations Ryan and good luck to Brennan and Katie for their finals! 📚Maybe they could do a wrap up video comparing their year at college - what classes they took/liked, their goals for future college years, what classes they need for their majors etc?

I had a pen hit my eye when I was nine and they stitched the iris shut as much as possible. I wore a hard patch and used eye drops to keep the pupil dilated, then went back weeks later for stitches removal. It sucks having a bum eye tbh. but I guess it's unique and life does that sometimes, throws curveballs and punches. Tiff from CT

3:30 My secret for prepping for interviews. Make a recording of all the questions they might ask, with enough silent time to provide an answer, followed by all the points I want to bring up. Also prepare for acting auditions the same way. Put all my ques on a recording hold teh script for a few runs through, then loose the script. 😊👍 Yay Brennan. Never fun. I served in the Special Forces, I was hit by an IED that burned my eyes and left a few little splinters, which was actually lucky. it was also full of nails, one of which penetrated my left hand. they got the splinters, my eyes were bandaged for 6 weeks with the old 'we will have to wait see' if you will be able to see". Obviously I can see. But never fun to go through. BE CAREFUL don't push it in the gym. And tell your girlfriend to watch those elbows next time.😁😁🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I had Iristis once which is inflammation in the colored part of the eye and had to self dilate my eye with drops for weeks which helped with the pain and a prescription drop. I had to visit the doctor also quite often during its course for followups. Eye Pain is no joke when it gets worse. Get well soon.
Im kinda disappointed with this caption if I’m going to be honest. It easily could’ve read that he “could’ve lost his sight but crisis averted” yet it gave the impression that it was awful. Certain things you don’t speak into existence and this is one of them. Glad that Brennan is safe but extremely disappointed with the wording of this caption

The same thing happened to my son's eye when he was 5 and it was terrifying. He was like Brennan and wasn't concerned at all but we were. His had gotten so bad he had a very high fever and infection. Thank God everything cleared up and he's just fine.

I’ll be praying 🙏🏼 I have major eye problems ROP both eyes and high miopía -8 and i can drive but not at night time only daytime and I can drive and want too but I’m so scared due to my eyes if I crash I can go blind and I’m not that fast I’m very careful and I just need more practice I feel like I can’t turn in the right lane and also I feel like can’t turn lane like several times u get me etc bc since I’m on the left side and i live in Miami so is all traffic car accidents etc hopefully someone who has ROP and high Miopía we can talk bc I need someone who can understand and make me feel good about driving and or if I drive and then mom told my Eye dr if I can drive and give her option etc she said no bc I can’t see at the sides and then she pointed down at the back and she said If I could see and I couldn’t see so that’s why but I don’t know need help hopefully he gets better I’m 20 21 Nov

So great Ryan want to be involved in his school. I was part of SGA in college best decision help me be a leader on campus. Later tried out for President, got the most votes did it a year. Sorry to hear about Brennan eyes, glad doing fine..

Hope all goes well. I know all to well about eye situations. My son has both colobomas, he is legally blind, but if he could go totally blind if he gets hit in the head.

Oh gosh when I am nervous I get a bad stomach too. Poor Brennan that is scary. Glad you are close enough to be able to drive when they need you. Sending people off on a cruise is fun, but makes you go back on one right? lol What a full week for you!
As a fellow weight lifter, I say to take atleast a another week off from the gym just to ensure everything is OK bc I had the same thing happen to me before.
Brennan, I'm so thankful that your eye is doing so much better. I'm so sorry that you had to go through this, but as it's said, 'what doesn't kill you , makes you stronger.' You are an awesome young man, best wishes & God's blessings for your future.

I am praying for you Brennan. I can relate to the fear of potentially losing your vision. I used to have a brain tumor that was 2 mm away from my optic nerve. If my tumor had hit the optic nerve, I would have gone blind. It was one of the scariest times of my life. Thank God I have been tumor free for 6 years now, and my vision is still 20/20.

Wow what a week . So happy our all ok. I hope b is doing good . I have eye issues my whole life so I know how hard that Is. My week has been crazy too . My niece is having a baby aNd she was rushed to the hospital because it was coming to early . So proud of Ryan I was in SGA when i was in school . I feel some much is out of our control we have to trust our faith and everything will become right . Thank you for sharing it’s means a lot to us . The part of my day ❤
So glad to hear Brennan's eye is on the mend! A friend of mine got hit in the eye with a cricket ball and had a similar injury and did loose some vision, so i wrapped Brennan seem's ok, but said a prayer for him. Congrat's to Ryan on the SGA! Being from Australia not up to the terminology with American schools but awesome buddy!

He was so lucky he didn’t tear his retina as you can lose your vision. I tore my retina from hitting my head and had to have laser I was very lucky. I was only young when that happened

Katie looked at Brennan like he has been hanging out with the Homies LOL.
When i was 15 my vision started going in and out and turns out it was optic neuritis, after months of stuff and treatment is was treated (couples rounds of this happened).
When everything was calm, a couple months later shortly after turning 17, I woke up to no vision at all in my left eye but it was a retina artery occlusion that time (basically a stroke in the eye) non reversible. Now 2 years later, still no vision, it was definitely an adjustment and still is, but I hope Brennen does not have to experience or go through that. To have vision in 2 eyes your whole life and then suddenly go to only vision in 1 eye is scary. I hope his eye recovers well and quickly❤️

What a week! My eye hurts just looking at it! Can’t imagine the pain.
I know how scary that is. I came very close to losing my vision when I was 16. I had a bacterial infection that got down to the retina in both eyes. I have scar tissue on both retinas that causes blind spots but I’m so used to it that I don’t even notice. Scar tissue had just missed the optic nerve so I’m very lucky and grateful I still have my vision. I’m glad he’s doing well!!

My prayers are certainly with you and Brennan. I can absolutely relate to the fear of losing your sight. I have been legally blind since birth. I can relate to physical limitations too. I cannot lift anything mire than 30 pounds or my retinas may detatch.
I realize the storms of life are fierce right now but take everything as it comes, both the good and not so good. God's got this. Count your blessings and try not to take things for granted. God bless y'all.
