The Wallowas, Joseph & surrounding nature are unique even for Oregon. The nearby Wallowa lake ranks with Crater Lake as Oregon‘s most beautiful lake. Possibly an ideal retirement area as long as it remains with relatively the same population. An artistic community as well, so I understand.
