It depends on the shape of the mould you are working with. If the mould surface is uniform as in the video, you can place it after drying but if the surface is not uniform, you will need to place it when the mat is still wet with the stiffener and use pins to hold.
I keep having multiple folds on the crown making it look rough The person that taught me said it okay to have folds but it’s just multiple and messy. Please how do I go about it because the crown is actually longer
I tried blocking the crown without cutting the sinamay in bias form, it gave me little pleats than when I cut on bias. So you can try out that method when next you want to block
