- Every time I look down at Woodrow I am reminded of how God is so Faithful & Merciful. I could not have made it through my pregnancy and labor without God. If you are an expecting mama, don't let the enemy fill you with fear and anxiety, you were built to birth and God will be there to help you every step of the way! Corrie, I will soon be 62. I wasn’t able to have children. I was heartbroken. God had another plan for me. He gave me an awesome son who need me! I adopted him when he was 18 months old through DSS. He is now 35! He’s been the best gift God has ever given me.

Oh my gosh, that little baby grunt he’s making at the end.. I remember that sound so well. My youngest baby is 32 now. You never forget the sounds and smells of your babies.
When I had my twins, they were my first also, but they came 7 weeks early. My labor was 12 hours start to finish, but had to be induced after about 3 hours. My greatest memory was that I could hear someone singing and I asked my husband who was singing. He said there's a lady sitting in the corner in a rocking chair. The doctors and nurses said, there's no one there! However, he saw her and I heard her. We know now it was an Angel. Three days before I went to the hospital, i went to church with my sister, and a lady from my sister's church came up to me and asked if she could pray with me and over my babies. We never told her I was having twins! She prayed and then gave me a word from the Lord and said, "Daughter, do mot fear, I am with you! For I will send YOUR Angel to be with you to give you peace and comfort and to sing over you and over your baby boys!" I never told her I was having boys either! She sang Jesus Loves Me, and Amazing Grace. Everytime my son's heard those songs, after they were born, they melted and would cry. Someone gave me a music box that played Jesus Loves Me, for my Baby shower, I would play it and their bottom lip would pooch out and crocodile tears just welled up in their eyes. The Lord told me that was the song they heard right before they were put into my womb, because they have a calling on them. Even to this day they cry when they hear those songs. So glad for you and Austin. Corie, I think every Mom can tell you stories of their children's births, regardless if it was 2 weeks ago or 30 years ago. In my case it was 30 years ago! 😊

Wow this is an amazing birthday story of twins. Your babies have their very own angel.
My Mamaw gave birth to 12 babies. She lived in Kentucky in the Appalachias. All were home births with Granny doctors except the last one which was delivered in the doctors office. All of them lived to be elderly and had good lives. I don't see how she was able to do that. She was a beautiful religious woman and I loved her soo much. ❤🙏
My mamaw had 16! 😮 All at home as well. And from London KY. 😊 awesome women!

Don’t even know if I should even comment on this, cause I’m an old geezer Okie man , but here goes… you 2 identical twin mothers are great examples that every parent would want their daughters or granddaughters to grow up and be like. I spend time with you girls and mom and dad every night , so you guys are family. I give a lot of Credit to those 2 popsicle lick’n yard birds on how you girls turned out to be, “mom and dad”. Lol. Good job Corie, I’m sure this will help a lot of young ladies when the time comes delivering their newborn babies.

When I gave birth to my first daughter a resident wound up delivering her because my Doctor didn't make it to the hospital in time. I was only in the hospital for about 45 minutes when she started to arrive. I remember hearing a nurse tell the resident in charge that he needed to scrub because he was going to have to do the delivery since my doctor wasn't there yet and he told her he had never delivered a baby by himself before and she said "Well you're going to tonight". Didn't exactly give me a warm fuzzy feeling, but in the end I had a beautiful baby girl who is now 57 and I think the resident that did the delivery was proud because it was his "first" delivery on his own.
Giving birth is the hardest thing you'll ever go through but so worth it. Our babies are a gift from GOD. Enjoy him.
Goodness, I wish it was the hardest thing I'd ever have to go through! Unfortunately, I've been through much harder. At least when a woman gives birth, she's got a beautiful baby at the end of it. Babies certainly are precious gifts from God.
@@Scout-bt3moSadly I agree. Childbirth can be very rough. Losing one of our twin sons in a sudden, unexpected accident when he was 21 was the hardest for me.. but for Gods grace it was not possible to overcome the grief.

Birth is amazing and it's great that you can talk about it...years ago it was never discussed, something secret. I'm so happy that you and Woodrow are well and healthy❤ Thank you! I felt the same having my first son 42 years ago... a long labour and many stitches,I hit that wall too at one stage... Much love to you and all the family.❤
I birthed 2 babies who are grown now.
My first was Natural...my second, C-Section...he too was sunny side up. Never could dilate over 1 cm. After many hours of labor. I was so sick when I went n labor, with an awful cold, could hardly breathe.
There's no shame in any birth.
One morning about 4 months after my Mama went to Heaven, I was grieving so bad. I walked to my kitchen window, the trees, bushes, ground, looked like a carpet of Red Cardinals...my Mama's favorite bird. I was in Awe. I cried, then I cried and smiled. God Sent those Cardinals to me that morning when I was grieving to Comfort me. To this day, I have Never again seen anything even close to what happened that morning. God has my Mama...what a Blessing. He Cares for whatever we are going through. If it hurts us, it hurts Him. He Is The Comforter.

How beautiful! I believe God does help us in times of grief to comfort us. When my daughter passed, I took over the care of her little min-pen. We became very close. When he passed, I couldn't stop grieving. I was very depressed. One evening, my husband and I were leaving for church, and we spotted a little Yourkie in a ditch. Every time a car would pass by, this Yourkie would run out of the ditch like she was looking for the car of the people who dropped her off. We picked her up and brought her home, and, boy, have we been blessed and comforted!😊😊😊 She is such a sweet little thing. God cared about me to send her to us. I praise him for His mercy.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I've raised three children. My body only had one. Every woman who has her husband's support when birthing should feel blessed. I should know; I didn't.

Absolutely beautiful. My oldest son came 6 weeks early . I was in a car wreck flipping my car end over end. He was born on Christmas Eve morning by C-section. They knicked an artery and I didn't learn how dangerous a predicament I was in until later . My sister ( a labor and delivery nurse was in on the delivery as my support) . They ended up putting her to work as she told me she was worried about the amount of blood lost. All I could think of was the thought of christmas and Jesus birth and how miraculous that was and how he saved me and my son at this time and how miraculous that was too. Many many many years later and This child is now living with me helping to take care of me in my old age. God knows how it will all play out. We give Him the glory always in the good and the bad for his timing and plan is always perfect. Thank you for sharing. ....
And for Katy.... I was going through a divorce at this time. Husband decided he did not want kids...I had moved back home started my life over .......I was a single mom too . God gives grace immeasurable!!! Proud of you both !!!

Corie, my first grandson was sunny side up. My daughter like you labored hours on end, he was 6 lbs 6 oz. He absolutely was my heart. When she got pregnant again on birth control she cried and did not want to go through childbirth again . My second grandson was 9 lbs/ 15 oz, she pushed twice and there he was. I didn’t think I could love another the same as my first grandson, but God just increases the size of my heart and they have been our lives for 31 years. Every child birth is different, God is always with you. Sending love and prayers.❤️🙏

Thank you for your birth story. I am 73 year old woman of 4 daughters, 8 grandchildren and my first great-grandchild was born yesterday! Birthing a child is definitely a miracle. It definitely changes a woman to give birth. I was so touched by your honest and sincere birth story. Amen to all you shared with us. Thank you!!!!
I had 2 homebirths with a midwife. It was certainly not pain free, but I did find it comforting to be in my own home and bed. My midwife told me of a woman who she had helped birth her 6 children. She called the midwife to come. When she got there, they sat on her porch, drank lemonade, and talked. After about an hour, the woman said, “ok, I’m ready to push.” They went inside, the woman was fully dilated, and pushed the baby out without a sound! Amazing!!

Sounds like my second birth. Chatted with the doula in between contractions. Wasn't intense until the last 2 hours.
Back in 1958 I came in early Oct instead of mid Dec and my parents were almost 40 my daddy slept with his arm through the crib rails to feel me breathing so I think every parent has worries they have to give to God love ❤️
Birth is hard ,God is in control .You look beautiful and I know stitches are scary ,but trusting God knowing He has given you a great doctor is a blessing. Woody is so sweet and handsome. God bless you all and your family. Because He Lives

My mom was one of 11 babies that survived. My grandma would be working in the field and go in have the baby, get it situated and make sure it is OK. Strap it to her and back to the field
Momma once said as a child she would be thinking, dang, we gonna have another kid. Grown she was very happy about it, but as a kid the most attention she got was bad attention when she needed correcting. Grandma was a hard woman for sure. Not sure she ever loved me. Grandpa did. I think we do no service to women putting them to bed for labor. They have to use the vacuum too much. That can cause cerebral palsy. So thankful Woodrow made it through that well. God bless
Women (like ur gmaw) back then working in the field then giving birth and back to it were made of tough stock. No epidural, no meds…they just pushed till they couldn’t push no more.
@lueValentine Yeah, they laid newspapers all over the bed to catch the mess. So she had to clean that up before going back to the field, too.
Having a baby can be a scream.. So glad God was there with you. Woody is a little doll .

Corie, In 1972 which was over a half century ago i can't say I had a wonderful experience with our first son as my labor was long & somewhat of a nightmare. Our second son born in 1978 in a different hospital was a much easier birth but I did have significant tearing with both deliveries. Our first son weighed 8 lbs 15 oz & our second 9 lbs 4 oz. It took years for the memories of my first pregnancy to fade and I PRAYED that my second delivery would be easier & thankfully it was. TY for sharing your personal birthing experience but especially your strong faith in prayer. Love U Corie.

I think you describing Woodrow's birth is very helpful for those expecting for the first time to hear. You described so well the stages leading up to the moment of birth. So precious…. Brings back my memories of having my 4. I am now a grandmother of 2 baby boys. My mom would always say… “it’s just one day for so much wonderful.” Bless baby Woodrow.❤️🙏

I’m very thankful that your sweet baby boy is there with you and his daddy now! It’s great knowing that all went well, thank God! I’ve always heard that first babies are more difficult giving birth to and that was true with our two. The first, our daughter, took awhile, but her brother was born almost as soon as I got to the hospital! You will certainly enjoy your little one. It’s amazing that they grow so fast!
Thanks for sharing your birth story. I think all mothers are interested as each is unique. My daughter was “sunny side up” too, born with her eyes open and the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck three times. I’m so glad you weren’t induced. I was. Being induced makes the contractions strong and hard from the get go, no slow buildup. After 21 hours of hard labor and 3 hours of pushing, our sweet baby girl was born healthy and happy. May God bless little Woody throughout his life. God is so good!

Thank you Corie! It’s incredible how much trauma a baby goes through during a natural birth. My wife delivered twin girls, without an epidural that did not work, after a very difficult pregnancy! I admire all the women that go through pregnancy and subsequent birth!🙏❤️🇨🇦

My first born was breach. The dr tried to turn her only to discover she was 2 footling breach and no turning. She was delivered via c-section the next Monday morning.
When she was 7 mos old, we discovered we were pregnant again! While we didn’t plan for that, he was still a blessing who has now made us Mimi and Pa to Mae. My 4yo granddaughter. I struggled with my pregnancy and eventually confided in my nanny that there was no way I could love him like I loved my first.
She giggled at me and said
Honey, when you give birth, God will make more room in your heart, youll see.
And she was soooo very right!
Yes, I had 2 babies in diapers and cribs but we made it through with the help of our amazing families and God!

As someone who had 3 out 4 births(1st was a csection) with zero pain meds I always tell mamas get your head to the top of the hospital headboard and let gravity do the rest. It saved me each time and dilated faster. Staying calm and yes, God built you to do this. I'm totally teary-eyed. View it in a positive mind set but lord, I wish more youtube channels would stop with pain-free births. It isn't reasonable and birth is going to hurt. Drives me crazy. I'm so happy for you. Woody is such a blessing and for a first time mom, you went in there with some serious strength. I'm in awe.
Oh, honey! Your video was definitely a blessing to ME!! You reminded me that although I love the mountaintop experiences of life, it is in the valleys of life that I grow!! I grow closer to God when I really NEED Him, when I really seek Him, when I have nothing & no one to rely upon but Him, that’s when my faith & trust & dependence upon God really grows!! Hi Corie, I have to be honest, I’ve spent a few days skipping over this video. I’m a 58 yo momma of three and a mimi of 9 beautiful grandchildren, so I know all about labor and delivery lol. After watching your video I’m impressed upon by the Lord to let you know how much this video has blessed me. The words spoken, the verse’s referenced have hit my head and my heart in a most profound way. I am 16 days out from a lymph node excision to be tested for possible lymphoma. Two previous biopsies were inconclusive. I’m trying so hard to be brave and of course am trying to stay in control of my thoughts, emotions and feelings, but I know I don’t have to! You are so right! I only have to surrender and call on my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and He will be with me. He will calm and comfort me. He will help me to be strong through this process of the procedure, the waiting, and the possible extremely difficult diagnosis. I DO trust Him and I DO surrender to Him. I pray Jesus goes before me and guides me through, no matter what the future holds. Thank you so much again for blessing me through your words and may God continually bless you, Austin and precious baby Woodrow. ❤
Friend, first of all I will be praying for you. I am so glad the video was a blessing, all Glory to God ❤️. Two things can be true at the same time, you can feel nervous but also Trust in God. I believe one can have Faith but also feel nervous at the same time, all that matters is that the Faith overrules the feelings if that makes sense. He will go before you and guide you and hold you in the palm of his hand friend. I believe based on 1 John 4:4, there is no task greater than us, because we have God in us ❤️

What a beautiful story. My lit One who is now 18 was born at 29 weeks and weighed 2lb 10 ounces. He was in the NIC unit for 8 1/2 weeks and was delivered via c-section. He was the best thing that ever happened to me and I remember singing the song “Jesus take the wheel cause I can’t do this on my own”. Still brings tears to my eyes how awesome the experience was.

I think back on those late nights/early mornings that I sat up with him as an infant - just comforting, rocking and becoming right alongside him. I wouldn’t trade a minute. Every stage- every phase, every struggle, every triumph- I thank God daily for his wonderful plan for us to grow in love & closeness with him through family. May the Lord bless you & yours ♥️

Thanks to Eve for giving us pain in childbirth . I have 3 children and even though it was hard , as soon as they were born, I would have gone through it again for the miracle of a brand new baby!

Labor is very tough I was in labor eight days and my water head broke and I thought they have to take the baby but they didn’t and I don’t dilate it was very hard and he was a preemie too on top of it and after I delivered him they found out I had cancer but it’s 32 years later and we’re still both here God was with us the whole timeWomen need to know that they’re very strong it’s the most hardest thing to do in our lives is to give you first but it’s so rewarding it’s such a blessing that God chose me to have this child children are truly blessings and gifts from the Lord may the Lord continue to watch over you and Woody and Austin and bless yous 🙏❤️✝️

I’m 53 with no children and the testimony of your experience was a blessing-definitely can be inserted into many circumstances. I love that you see the length of labor and the issues at the time could appear as a “burden” (for lack of better words) was actually an answered prayer of wanting to grow in your faith. Katie praying by your bedside overwhelmed my heart-to hear family praying for each other is powerful and shows the true love only God can give someone. My prayers for all of you will continue until I leave this world. Love and hugs sent your way ❤

Look at baby Woody resting in his Mama’s loving arms. Just as we are supposed to rest in our Lord’s arms throughout our life.
All four of our babies were sunny side up. Of course it was difficult, but they didn’t offer epidurals 40 years ago. I would have jumped at the chance, however.
A woman’s first birth is quite an experience, and there is a lot to process afterwards. I felt as though no woman had ever felt the degree of pain that I did, and that surely something was wrong. But no, that’s just how it goes.

Corrie, I was a childbirth doula and I love, love LOVE your description of Woody's birth. When you felt you were done, finished and over, that you could do no more. THAT'S when God (or the Light, or Grace,, or Spirit) cares for you and delivers you and honestly, there's nothing lovelier or more powerful. Thank you SO MUCH for your amazingg telling. Your experience is why I chose to be a doula, why I chose to go into homes and be helpful wherever I could. There are few times in life when Spirit speaks clearly and powerfully an dI was always honored to be at that event. Beautiful momma story with healthy sunny side up sweet Woody ❤️ Wow, I feel so lucky, looking back. 1st baby 8 Lb 13 Oz sunny side up 6 hours medium labor, 3 hours hard no meds (too late), Doc broke water just before pushes. I believe the trick was to relax with each contraction, breaths, really sink like a rag doll into that bed so contractions could do their job…and squeezing a soft Tweety bird toy in my hand. Hubby up close to focus & help with breathing was amazing.

But I totally agree with what you said about how that doesn't really change once they are born. I have an adopted daughter i have helped raise since she was 8(now 24). Hearing you describe your birth story brought back so many memories of when I birthed my son. He is 17 now and my only child, but that experience and those feelings stay with you a lifetime. First child in labo4 36h hours in the hospital, in a ward with other laboring women , some screaming 😢😢 I was so afraid it was going to get horrible listening to them 😢😢 they moved me and delivered a beautiful beautiful daughter ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ no spinal Pain relief back then ,, wouldn't trade that experience for anything had 2 boys later .. this is the job God prepared womanhood for ,, congratulations on you're beautiful, blessed son ❤❤❤❤❤
I think women have a hard time all the time. He has taught us alot of things so we will be able to handle their life and our life. After all the pain you forget and ready to have another one soon They are worth it. Thank you Corie. Bless you both

I've had 3 deliveries. All 4 babies (set of twins in there) were ok. I was able to recover and was fine. The thing is, none of them went the way I had wanted. I had to realize the goal was to become a Mother, not to control the process. By the 3rd time my birth plan was simply to take my baby home at the end.

My first daughter was the same way.I was in labor for 3 days By the end , I was so exhausted that I didn't Think that I would be able to push one more time She Was sunny set up and we had to use the vacuum So I know that pain It's awful , but I did one million times over it just brought her into this world And it wasn't for God hold my hand I would have not got Through it ❤

I’m so glad you tell mothers IT HURTS!! Some women say they don’t remember the pain afterward, that is not true. I’ve had seven and I remember the pain. But like you shared, I’d do it all again to get my sweet babies. Thank you for sharing your story. Very helpful!❤ 13:41
Thank you for sharing. I was a first time mom, overseas in Germany in 1985, 45 min away from any hospital military or civilian. I had taken Lamaze and was SOOOO TERRIFIED. It's wonderful to HV a forthright, honest, heart felt God fearing person sharing the truth. Bless u and your baby❤

What a testimony for the Lord!! Today just happens to be the birthday, 24 years ago, my daughter gave birth to her first baby. The similarities. She was sunny side up… mama strep b positive… but ended up being a c section. My daughter was at a 9 for 4 hrs. Talk about tough. The bonding time with her was so special. And I kept reminding her when she would start the contraction that it was coming. She slept in between. She was so scared the contraction would overtake her and she was too tired to watch the monitors. So I was there to say.. okay sweetie, it’s time so she could get her breathing prepared and when contraction would start easing she would fall back asleep. I would say… that’s as bad as it will be and she knew she could handle it. God was so real. Right there…… your story just happened to be on this special day for me. I was one praying for you. I would check my phone periodically to see if you were in labor. And all through the time I would just ask God to be with you, protect you, and give you a healthy child. Many many times. I think birth first of all is a miracle that I experienced 3 times. So this 75 yr old Grannie is so happy for you and Austin, and the rest of your family, Katie and little Ira. I watch all your programs, your parents gardening together. I live in NC as well near TN border. Brings memories of me being able to do things….. I’m disabled now and live my life through others. It helps me hang on. Your faith and love for God, how you see Him in all things really shows and makes me so happy. May God continue to bless Austin and you with Woody. You’re in for the most precious journey. And responsibility to raise that child to honor Him. Love all you guys. You really feel like family. I do identify with y’all. God bless you

Having had 2 children one sunny side up and 1 normal, the back pain in sunnybside up babies is REAL. He dislocated my hip coming and having tested positive for strep myself the antibiotics made me so sick. But when they put that baby in your arms, nothing else matters but the complete love you feel. I was once a worried new Mom with my second baby (my children were 8 years apart) and a friend told me, “do not let Satan rob you of your happiness…this baby is perfect”. Also when I labored with my second son, I had read to take a deep breath at the start of a contraction, and slowly release it when it becomes intense and this helped me tremendously!

You were so calm about the contractions, with him being your first baby! I think I would have been at the hospital with the tiniest twinge! A long labor can wear you down. I remember that I overheard a nurse say that it looked like we'd be all day & I burst into tears! And you went through all that with no epidural, like a warrior! I had one with my first, nothing with my second, and recovery was so much faster without it.
I know exactly what you are saying. My son was sunny side up. They called it star gazer. I was in labor 36 hours. God delivered us. ❤

You are a brave girl Corie, God made women tough enough to handle childbirth. Praise the Lord for your new blessing. I had a c section on my first child because labor did not go well. I did so good this way,fast recovery, perfect baby, so I decided to have my 2nd and 3rd babies with c section . All three great experiences, healthy babies and really fast recoveries.
