I purchased this reel 7.0:1 along with a 7.3 mh rod at the Bass Masters Classics in Greenville s.c and will put it to work this weekend on my home lake in South Carolina.
I have 2 Cyclones and 2 Wraiths. Personally, I wish Sixgill would get to a better price point, BUT their Customer Service and Warranty blows all the competition away. I fish pretty much every weekend and do 2 to 4 tournaments a month. It is hard to find any reel that will hold up. These are solid reels. The Cyclones are smoother than my Shimano Casitas and seem to be about the same quality. The Wraiths are definitely better quality, but for the price they better be. I would put the Cyclones at a rating just below my Lews Mach II. I would put the Wraiths quite a bit higher.
Got a wraith with a 50% off code and its garbage! The drag doesnt work at all,centrifugal brakes broke first time taking them off now they dont work,and the thumb bar doesnt disengage, for 230$ fresh out of the box i should not have to send it back to have them fix it,zero quality control over there in CHINA where they are manufactured,idk ill never buy from sixgill again,decent rods (i own a bunch). Also the spinning reels i have(karve,reaver,man of war)are all very bulky and always feel like im bringing in a huge load even when im fishing small 1/4oz spoons,very low quality reels compared to my shimanos or my abu Garcia revos. Id stay away unless the only good thing your looking for is customer service (have to have great customer service when your product is constatnly failing and always being returned)
Kast king Spartacus Plus 46 dollars 12 bb 631 gear ratio 17.5 pound drag can't beat the quality that 6 gill is overpriced I absolutely love my Spartacus Plus reel and caught a blue catfish on it and it was 40 inches long monster cat hit my swimbait while bass fishing
Six Gill vs Piscifun. I have 2 Piscifun. Torant and Thunder. So far best reel I own right now. Thought of getting one but ended up going to Piscifun lol.
James Backyard Fisherman they make a quality reel no doubt, what gets people with Sixgill is the customer service and the owner/designer/creator will personally respond to you to answer questions/problems name one other company that does that.
Piscifun makes good stuff , probably very comparable to sixgill. I have had 5 of them only complaint is customer service is slow but their phantom x puts anything else in that price range to shame .
Def keep away from their casting reels low quality chinese garbage,if your coming from fishing with kast king or very cheap reels then of course they will seem like top of the line but if you fish with a shimano or higher end abu reels then you really don't want these chinese knock offs,the wraith i have i am selling for 100$ because it needs too be sent back and fixed fresh out of the box which for 230$(i only paid 115$ with a 50% off discount code) i should not have to send it directly back if thats the case then its not a good quality reel. Their rods are decent(they are starting to use no name guides and reel seats though) but they dont spline them so my creature casting rod and akylos guides are starting to shift and arent straight on the rod any longer after not even a year! If you want quality do not go with sixgill if you want cheap and budget rods they are the rods for you but think about it are they really a budget rod if you have to buy one every other year or is it cheaper to spend $200 dollars on a quality rod and not have to buy one to replace it for 10+ years
I ordered two cyclones and I'm excited for these. I was also s little nervous and thought it could be a gamble buying these because I haven't seen much reviews on these.

Ethan Wyzykoski even the cast king Brutus had a better cast experience than a silver max for half the cost.
