And before we entered 2nd year in high school we should choose either science dept or social dept. And only students with great score can attend the science dept, the rest are gone to the social dept. We also had clubs and extracurricular. Clubs every Saturday and extracurricular everyday depends on the schedule.
Woah class starting at 8:40 is HEAVEN for us. My class starts at 7:00 and ends at 16:00 or 17:00. But we dont have a lot of subjects. Like this semester has only 7 subjects (Practical Research 1 (1 hr), Reading and Writing (1 hr), Filipino (1 hr), Statistics and Probability (1 hr), PE (1 hr), Understanding Culture, Society, and Politics (1 hr) and my major which is Carpentry (3 hrs)) You dont have all subjects in a day tho. They are distributed throughout the week. But the good thing tho is that we have a one hour break each day (not including lunch). Im 17 and in 11th Grade.
I wish we had those kinda after school clubs here. Around here there is nothing like that at all not even for people who are into sports. School is just school.

That's interesting. In my school (USA, GA) school starts at 8:20 and it is over at 3:30. By the way there is typically only 4 classes per student. However, for me it's different because I have minimum day and an online class. So, I start school at 8:20 and I leave at 11:40.
It quite same as mine. Just the class started at 7.30 and we can go home if any classes after 1.30 can't be held for some reasons. And our club are divided to 3 type. Like.. sport , unit uniform (kinda like occupation.. like police unit uniform or cadet unit uniform *sure you hv to wear that uniform) and last "club" it's like society type idk how to explain tbh. And the club are also depends on something as long as there are 13 meeting for each type of club total.
In Turkey, high schools mostly start at 8:00 am and it ends 2:30 pm. I went to vocational high school which is has more lessons than other high schools that's why it ended at 4:30 pm.
In saudi arabia we study six years of elementary school 3 years of middle school and 3 years of high school. school starts at 7.am and ends at 1:30 and sometimes 2:30. and we do wear school uniforms. we have a teacher for each subject and unless if we are using the laboratory then we study mostly in same classroom. and just like in Japan we're not allowed to put make up on and if your hair is long then you will have to tie it and you can only wear the colors brown, black and white because they're trying to teach us that our first priority is how well we do in school not how cool we look in school. also students should have major respect for teachers. and we start studying english from the sixth grade till the senior year of high school. and we have homework every day and by the end of the semester we have to make a project for each subject. i have never seen somone getting bullyed before heared that rules in private schools are alittle bit diffrent but I'm not sure cause i never been to a private school before cause i dont know anyone who can afford it. grades are important for all the Saudi universities. oh and we barely have any club activities. i just thought that it would be fun to share some information about our schools.

You’re right Brian, no learning takes place (in my school that is cause the teachers don’t teach 😩😪) I moved from a filipino school to an International School with a British curriculum and I miss the longer school hours when I actually enjoyed staying at school and learned so much more but now in my new school they expect us to learn everything by ourselves at home to the point that they banned textbooks to he brought to school 😕💀
WoW 😱 so there rule for hair style in japanese high school also !!! 😐 I have very terrible experience about hair regulation in my high school 😂 i have tried to escaping the hair inspection but the teacher found me, so i run into toilet and lock the door from inside 😐 i looked into small tube and that teacher still there and screaming out "hey, just go out you can not stay there forever" 😂 so i jump to the ventilation then climbed to ceiling and went out then some teacher broke the door and i hear one of them said "i am sure, he was here". After that i went to my class and took my bag then i skip the school. So next day i came with new hair style ✌️

I pick science class so for the rest of my high school i'm not going to study social education (Sosiology, economic and geography) My school We need to arrive at school at 7 Study at 7.30 - 15.15 (Monday and Thursday) on monday and thursday i have chemist club so i will go home at 4 tuesday 7.30 - 14.30 no club activity Wednesday 7.30 - 16.00 no club activity Friday 7.30 - mostly 14.00 Saturday day off
Speaking of breaking windows, my class president broke a window by throwing a rock at it.. He only got to be class president because he was the only one who ran for the position 😅
That is a lot of subjects man. We only hav at most 8. Mostly 6-7. N great that Japan emphasize fitness besides academics. No wonder Japanese ppl live for so long. But Japanese high schools sound way more interesting than Secondary schools here in Singapore.
At my school in Mexico we make our own schedules, and most students choose to have their first class at 7:30 (to finish earlier) or 8:30 and finish between 2:30-4:30 depending on the day of the week and the electives they are taking. The seniors have less classes, which is really nice, so you have some people that finish at 11:30-12:30 (though some finish as late as 4:30 if they are taking the art elective).

Depending on the school and subject, American high school students get summer and winter break homework too.
in the philippines high school is different in public and private. public start 7:00 am to 2:00 pm and private start 7:45 am to 4/5:00 pm

That is a lot of subjects man. We only hav at most 8. Mostly 6-7. N great that Japan emphasize fitness besides academics. No wonder Japanese ppl live for so long. But Japanese high schools sound way more interesting than Secondary schools here in Singapore.
At my school in Mexico we make our own schedules, and most students choose to have their first class at 7:30 (to finish earlier) or 8:30 and finish between 2:30-4:30 depending on the day of the week and the electives they are taking. The seniors have less classes, which is really nice, so you have some people that finish at 11:30-12:30 (though some finish as late as 4:30 if they are taking the art elective).
You never had a project before?! Wow that is crazy but you’re lucky.
I go in at school 7 20 and get out at 4 00
My school start at 7:20 and ends at 12:50
I start school at 7:15 and end school at 1:58 :o
