    Thanks for the insights and how the cameras relate to each other.
    Just one little technical improvement idea: when you write the advantages of the zu-e10 on the left side and the a6600 on the Right side you have to keep this in mind during filming. Otherwise in the edited video you talk about the zv-e10 and point to the right where the advantages of the a6600 are noted. This might confuse the audience.

    The A6600 is actually rated for 810 shots with the LCD, which I believe is the best battery life of any Sony mirrorless! For casual travel shooting one full charge usually lasts me 2-3 days, which is crazy! I'm kind of debating whether I want to switch to the ZV-E10 for a smaller and lighter package, but the IBIS, battery and EVF combo on the 6600 is so good :S

    So I bought the Sony A6600 for $900 used, and I actually prefer the photo quality from the ZVE10. I have low vision and the ZVE10 screen seems to have bigger text on the LCD. Live streaming definitely ZV-E10. No overheating on either if you set the internal temp to high. Better continuous shooting in 4K would be a6600 simply because it has a longer battery. But you can connect the ZV-E10 to external power and record as long as you want!!

      So the main angle is the GH5 in this vid and the black and white angle is the G7. The GH5 is an amazing camera, but it has terrible autofocus. A6600 vs A7C isn’t really about camera body price. It’s about lens price. Sony Full Frame Lens are more expensive than APC-C lenses

    • @MarkBennettCameraCrisis
      @MarkBennettCameraCrisis  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      that’s fair. but with Sigma and Tamron, Samyang, and viltrox, there are a lot of full frame lenses available for Emount that are pretty affordable these days. even Sony is making some cheaper ones, like the new 2.8 compact series.

    • @IsobarBrokenFlame
      @IsobarBrokenFlame 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MarkBennettCameraCrisis does this mean APS-C is dead?

      FujiFilm are beginning to push medium format over their APS-C line too.

    • @MarkBennettCameraCrisis
      @MarkBennettCameraCrisis  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@IsobarBrokenFlame No, no - I don't think so at all. I think APSC and Micro 4/3 and 1 inch sensors all have their place. I just think that if you can get the same image quality and auotfocus on a $700 ZV-E10 - then it's hard to want to spend $1500 on the same sensor in the a6600. I think that the higher Sony's high end APSC cameras like the a6600 need an update - better sensor, 4K 120 and 10-bit. And I'm sure that's coming.

      Rolling shutter will be as bad on the a6600, yes. But, like you J.R., I don’t have problems with rolling shutter because I don’t use cameras in ways it would be a problem. For a first camera, you should look at the ZV-E10, the canon m50 or the Olympus em5 mark ii. Those threes are great first cameras. The M50 is probably the easiest to use but the ZV-E10 has the most video features. The EM5 has the best stabilization. So it’s all about your preference

    the polar bears in the amazon rainforest! 🤣🤣🤣 you always know how to make people laugh!! is it spontaneous or do you write proper comedy scripts like the tv shows do ??
    nice comparison btw, looking forward to buying a new and first camera. thing is zv e 10 is half the price of 6600 in my place but i am mainly interested in photography. also i dont want to buy a device ill have toupgrade in 4-5 years' time, i like buying devices which are a little too much for my needs now, so they last me long enough. i feel like that's a better way to get value out of your investments. so most probably ill go the 6600 route, -- key benefits being from your video- better battery, evf and weather seal. and the IBIS- not for video, but mainly for photo in low light.
    the a7c is also a decent choice, but its not just about the camera right, the lenses are also comparatively expensive! and this is still just a hobby - not my bread and butter. in which case the extra investment in full frame camera and lens system could be justified.

    • @MarkBennettCameraCrisis
      @MarkBennettCameraCrisis  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      huge upgrade over the a6000. it takes great photos, but it took me some time to get used to no viewfinder. Sony’s back screen isn’t a great resolution, so you have to trust your settings. when you get back in post, you can see how great the photos are

    • @Garbid
      @Garbid 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Main is AF. I bought last year a6600 (for battery life) after using for 4 years a6000. Difference in AF for stills is outstanding. Real time tracking AF on shutter release. EYE AF on back button and that's all you need.

    • @saifaldin_
      @saifaldin_ 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The biggest upgrade from an A6000 is definitely AF (accuracy, tracking, eye AF, and speed in low light situations). Next, especially if you shoot jpegs, is the colours. In terms of shooting experience, apart from the lack of EVF, not having as much customisable buttons does mean that the zv-e10 won’t be as flexible as the A6000. But this may or may not affect you personally, based on your style of shooting.

    I have been considering buying this camera for my twitch livestream but s well as vlogs and your videos have been helping a lot !! I really appreciate it. Would you be able to cover how to deal with the rolling shutter speed or how to minimize the jello like effect this camera has? That’s the only real downside i see when it comes to the ZV-e10 especially as a new starting camera.

    • @MarkBennettCameraCrisis
      @MarkBennettCameraCrisis  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      to minimize rolling shutter, don’t pan the camera from side to side quickly. If you have slow, controlled movement, you won’t get rolling shutter. it’s when you move fast that it becomes an issue. I don’t like walking while shooting because that that will usually give shaky footage and the jello effect. When using the camera on a tripod for things like streaming, rolling shutter obviously is a non-issue.
