Satisfying Acrylic Pour Painting Over a Cooling Grid

- It is very satisfying - the liquid acrylic paint flows over a normal cooling grid and a fascinating work of art is created - something new and absolutely unique!
Maybe you have such a cooling grid at home. You can use it to cool your cake - but that would be boring, let's paint liquid artwork with it!
In the first step I painted the canvas black, you don't really have to do that. But I am often bothered by the edges and borders that are usually much brighter than the actual surface because there the paint is thinner and the bright canvas shines through.
Now you could simply pre-paint the canvas with a brush as I did at the beginning. But then brush strokes remain in the finished picture so I poured over the canvas. As a result, I now have a smooth black surface.
It is a little more effort and also not mandatory. I like it so but better and the end result is also very satisfying.
For the acrylic paints, I decided to use 9 shades. It goes of course also with less, I like it but if you discover in the picture here and there individual shades that give the whole picture more tension.
And don't worry the cooling grid can be cleaned easily, so you can use it for more pictures or use it for what it was meant for until now :-)

I didn't envision it turning out like that, it's really cool looking.
I liked it the way it was just after you lifted the cooling grid. But then the tilting of the cavas took it to a new level of WOW!

Look in the bottom left corner you can see the head of some kind of strange octopus the rest I see as it's camouflage body
Love the color selection in this and even though there didn't seem to be much of a cell reaction in this pour it came out beautiful. Very mystical smoke vibe I get from this. I think I would call it Dragon Blood or Dragon Smoke...😁👍

But actually the grill made no difference at all. Just pouring it on the canvas without would have produced the same effect so far as I can see.

I saw a turquoise bobcat face when he first picked up the grid.
I saw him, that's why I'm in the comments looking to see if anyone else saw him! and he's a weird looking dude at 4:30 . Stooped over, wearing a night shirt, hunched back, looking at a little thing with eyes cut in a sheet like a ghost. Came to look at a painting and ended up seeing 'Where's Wally' at 100. It really was a 'Satisfying Acrylic Pour'
That was really cool! I wasn’t liking the colors u chose at first but then it turned out incredible! I wonder if the cooling grid wasn’t there, would those colors have stayed in place, or would they have just spread out a lot quicker? Just curious.
