Godwyn wasn't dead yet, so maybe they were called lightning knights or dragon knights and looked a whole lot different too, but the death knights took it upon themselves to change esthetics to match their newly departed boss after Godwyn is killed and begins corrupting the lands between

Why is it that whenever I’m fighting Astel, it teleports to other end of the damn arena every single time. But in these vs videos, 90% of the time it teleports 2 feet away?
Maybe it's been altered to teleport at a closer distance? Which, if that's the case, kinda defeats the point of the boss. If a boss has an ability, it should be able to use it fair game (unless explicitly stated otherwise in the title.)
Just imagining what a fight against Godwyn would be like, this is the closest thing to it. I hope that after about two years there will be another DLC with Godwyn as the protagonist (Dreaming is easy).

I think that one move the death knight does must be bugged. No way the spinning lightning move with the aoe is meant to do THAT much damage. Especially compared to his normal attacks
Very good, I was thinking that these knights would have some relationship with the knights of the mausoleum, since they have a direct relationship with Godwin but looking better I think there is a difference since the knights of the mausoleum were created by Miquella to watch over Godwin's body, proof of this would be the Summon of Lhutel, who decapitated himself to protect even in death, the death knights were the Godwin's personal guard before his death and now seeks the corpse of his master. Perhaps both groups served Godwin and split up with his death, with one serving Miquella and the other acting independently, what do you think?
the death knights were commanded to guard Godwyn's body, eventually they got corrupted with deathblight and were sent to the lands of shadow due to it attracting the dead, so they probably dont have a connection
