Hello, all! Happy Friday! Today I wanted to do a bit of no-line watercoloring and thought I would walk you through the painting in real time once again. I used the Spring Fling Florals stamp set from Trinity Stamps for today's watercoloring.

I totally agree that art especially doing small detailed flowers like these is stress relieving. I like this no-line technique and thanks for sharing this.
At about 3 minutes I was already thinking "you have to really enjoy coloring in this way to have the patience for it..." then she says "you really have to be patient with yourself..." LOL! I am not patient at all, but I do love watching what unfolds!

I love those colors you used for your painting, Kristina! The embossing also adds such a nice, subtle-but-interesting touch. I've tried embossing with stencils, with rather iffy results. I plan to keep trying, though. Maybe a lighter weight cardstock is the key. Anyway, thank you for talking us through the painting & card making processes. I prefer your voice to music, quite frankly. Also, I remember seeing a comment from someone (don't know if it was here or another channel) saying that she was visually impaired, and really benefited more from the crafter talking through the process, since she could hear better than see. I never considered that, but it makes good sense. Thank you so much for sharing, & have an awesome day! :)

THANK YOU for the real time video and such a wonderful one too!! Had to laugh a bit when you said how relaxing and therapeutic coloring is for you....for me it's stress and frustration. Just doesn't turn out the way I wish...but I'm working on it! Stunning card in its simplicity and elegance.

I love this (what a surprise 😁) First a flat white piece of paper, after your coloring so much depth and dimension.
Besides, I really liked what you said about coloring in general. Whether it's 5 minutes or 5 hours, it's so relaxing and fun. For me it's the perfect way to relax after a hard day's work. Thanks also for the tip with the scissors, I'll take a look at it right away. 👍

I love seeing someone else use embossed texture on their cards. It is one of my favorite ways to add texture and dimension to a design, but haven’t seen it used much lately. Thank you for sharing your watercolor process. I could watch this all day long! Lol
I love listening to podcasts when I craft too. One of my other interests is learning about true crime and there are lots of good podcasts out there for that! As usual, gorgeous card!

I have heard that if you lightly mist the paper you are going to emboss, it gets a deeper impression into the paper. I have tried it and it does work. However, you need to just slightly dampen it to soften the fibers. I like what you did in this card and it is beautiful.
I cannot wait to try no line watercoloring!

I’m wondering how you got such a clear image on the watercolor paper. Any time I stamp on my arches the image is not complete and I end up stamping it again sometimes several times, then it’s either blurry or too dark. I was hoping that using the stamping platform that would help. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I love your cards especially the Christmas series that you do. I have a suggestion, what about a series of cards for other events in the year HB, Anniversary, sympathy, just a note ect maybe in June? Halfway to Christmas..... I know the cards you do are year round but I love the format of the Dec series!!!

It would seem I'm not fit to be left unsupervised with watercolors. Part of my sofa is now a mottled shade of blue-black. Also, the dog has a faint blue streak to her fur. Will be so glad when my table top and legs arrive from IKEA.

K Werner Design thank you. I usually use Archers 350 cold press and I new it was not that. 💖👍
When you are watercoloring with distress inks, because they are water reactive, don't the lines disappear therefore making it harder to watercolor?This has always been my concern with this technique?
The lines do disappear, but not so much that you can't see them while you're painting. Like I said in the video, I had just reinked my Antique Linen ink pad so it was a bit darker than usual. For a better example, check out this No-Line Watercoloring video: th-cam.com/video/qxDKUyDl4pE/w-d-xo.html
